I think that is more of an issue to the country than a 2 day celebration of culture.

Michael king is totally deluded. It doesn't have the same message as it originally had as racism is very rare although it will always exist in all races ,all the world over. The original windrush generation are no longer there and Caribbeans should be embarrassed to be associated with this. It's been hijacked by youths that may have a loose heritage with the Caribbean, maybe a grand parent or great grand parent from the Caribbean. The Caribbean itself have their own carnivals and they don't behave like these wannabe gangsters. Only the old dub sound systems are the most peaceful part of carnival now.
Over 1 million members of the public attend the Notting Hill Carnival. At times criminal gangs come across each other and there are instances of violence. The solution is to get rid of gangs not the Carnival. Unless the real agenda is intolerance of diversity
@Xgil2Play yes, I do tend to start discussions by making it clear and obvious what I'm talking about. I'm not sure where you got the impression that me wanting to talk about it meant that I had a solution to it but I'll gladly indulge. I propose we use an approach like the Soft Systems Methodology to understand the problems and situations that lead to the adoption of gang culture. Take a sample of youths identified by their parents or adult/care giver/authority and build a picture of the problems that typically affect them and lead to bad life decisions. I think the outcome could be some kind of educational program that gives personalised recommendations on changes and potential life paths that could be taken to achieve their goals and avoid problems. E.g. an individual whose problems centre around wanting to be accepted by their peers and sees gang culture as a feasible outlet for that, maybe they have a passion for music and could be given a tailored recommendation of apprenticeship at a music production studio with regular recording sessions and social media management classes after school, to fill their time and give them the drive to pursue what it is that they really want in life.
The carnival should be divided in to three sections as in group's, 3x entry's only to alĺ three emergency in & out . Decades ago rival football fans met a certain locations for violence. Sadly this is what's happening a the Notting hill carnival. Imagine football grounds house sixty thousand fans. The carnival has a million. The majority of people attend the fantastic canvival to enjoy themselves. Sadly the minority spoil it 😮. The carnival should be moved to hmm Hyde park .
Are you saying that it has outgrown the whole of Notting hill , portobello, Ladbroke Grove, Westbourne park and the Harrow road..? Seems to me the carnival was mostly a street procession and it was corralled, at least partially, because certain people didn't like it upsetting their bank holiday. Now talk of 'moving it'.. where to..? Why? An enclosed area in Hyde park is not the answer.. its not like there is not going to be huge crowds surrounding it as well as the attendees coming or going. I'm sure there's lots of criminals attend carnival for the purpose of robbery or violence but they would be less likely to if they thought they had a greater chance of being caught

What time will Keir Stalin's speech of condemnation be on tv ? Will he mention the ethnicity of the stabbers ?
I believe that the carnival should come to an end. Its vibrant and lively days are fading, much like the people of the Windrush generation. The UK, particularly London, has undergone significant changes. Additionally, mainstream news outlets rarely report anything positive about the Carnival. Instead, they mainly focus on incidents such as stabbings and arrests, which only serve to bring shame and dishonor to the Caribbean communities.
Pray in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and give thanks and praises to Jah for all the positive aspects and memories of carnival. Let us put an end to it and see if this will eradicate the issue of knife crime and criminal arrests in the UK. Jah be praised for his grace and mercies.
Did nick cut him off just as he said this is just a typical year?
How about a justification for what you’d describe are ‘R…’?
Stop kettling-in the attendees and let people move throughout the _whole_ area like in previous years. The police have brought this upon themselves _(and the rest of the attendees)…_
Video has been muted. Wow
Every city should have its own Afro-Caribbean carnival
Well the police has already downsized the carnival, blocked more streets and now you want to move it ? I don’t think so no
Heard it costs £12 million to police this carnival.
I hate it hope government ban it
'Where do you sense it's gone wrong?'
Is he allowed to say letting the carnival happen every year? 😀😀😀
Policing Notting Hill Carnival is no different to policing the 100s of football matches that take place every week for 10 months of the year up and down the UK.... and let's not mention the drug taking, alcohol abuse, violence, and crime associated with football season.
I think that is more of an issue to the country than a 2 day celebration of culture.
Nothing but trouble & this is a carnival not a protest should be stopped now
Criminal Fest not a Carnival. Ban it For ever
Silly boy 😂
@@thenandralonekingit’s feral😂
@@jamjam2833 when was you last there?
@@thenandraloneking a few years ago, what’s that got to do with the stabbings and assaults on the police which are a yearly occurrence?
@@jamjam2833 We left London because of the stabbing of a Bangladeshi boy by 4 'youths' (apparently it was an 'initiation) on the pavement near our house - the fatal blow was to the extreme lower back if you know what that signifies. This is seen as merely natural cultural expression of certain groups today in this country - the majority of us tho' see stabbing as a scandal, a disgusting crime - that's our culture.
How will Moving it prevent the criminal incidents. Nick wants it Moving because his rich mates who live in the area want it to be moved. They wouldn't care if there were a hundred stabbings as long as its not in Notting hill. Hypocrites.
A crowd of public never goes well.
My question is this, will all those arrested get frog marched into court immediately and get tasty jail sentences.
Over 1 million visitors , percentage of crime is minimal even the largest gammon can see this , if they actually wanted to
Surely it's time to cancel it, it's useless, pointless, and achieves nothing.
Surely the diverse community in White Chapel would be keen to host the festival. Diversity loves diversity. The more diversity the better. It is our strength after all.
Its a shame none of you have this same view when it comes to your Glastonbury and Leeds festivals when these violent incidents are 100x worse. So unhinged, bias and boring.
But it's part of the day, it's culture, stop hating. A mostly peaceful family day out :)
So ? GAZA is basically a multicultural firework display , mostly peaceful ect
Wow 330 people going to be jailed for at least 2 years, have we the room in prisons. If they do not receive the same jail sentence as people arrested and jailed for standing watching a protest, this could do more damage and split this country more than anyone could imagine.
And then if it is treated differently because it is called a Carnival, we can assume Tommy Robinson will be hosting a Carnival instead of a protest next time.
they could arrest another 1000 there if they ruled by no fear or favour!!
In comparison, how much crime is there at a large festival like Glastonbury?
The double standard on full display
Ban it ban it
If its a difficult event to police, then it shouldn't be happening eh !!! It isn't rocket science 😂
Who did the stabbing? foreignors or english ?
Check the official arrests, should be public information. If it's not there, then wait until it's public.
Prisons full so 330 arrests won’t help surely? Ah silly me, Keir will let these ones free.
Its getting bigger but dont touch it ..they killed the Birmingham carnival by moving it across the city. .. 1000 arrested at the Reading Festival..how many assults and woundings happen each week in football ..no surprise this thing arises every year since i can remember ..next---------'>
Im lost for words...
Far right people came to defend their crime as soon as they could 😂

@slownightsolongg not really a distinguishing feature. Oh well, guess there is no pattern at all.

'Put some place else.'
How about Kingston, Jamaica?
They should take measures to make it safe, but it looks to me, it's a disaster waiting to happen, volatile and massive crowds, when that happens, who will get the blame ? Precaution, Precaution, Precaution. It's only a matter of time. Its just way too big, and it's getting harder and harder to police

"Can't muve it blood, it parr of mi uman rites, inni"
😂
You can't get rid of gangs if you can't even discuss the problem. The problem being the prevalence of gang culture.
Can't be intolerance of diversity. As far as I know, Melas and Chinese New Year celebrations etc. aren't crime infested events.
@@slownightsolongg You want to discuss a problem, but you're just pointing out the obvious. How do you propose gangs to be filtered out?
@Xgil2Play yes, I do tend to start discussions by making it clear and obvious what I'm talking about.
I'm not sure where you got the impression that me wanting to talk about it meant that I had a solution to
it but I'll gladly indulge.
Yep I think it's run it course.......some ignorant peoples mess every thing up.
The carnival should be divided in to three sections as in group's, 3x entry's only to alĺ three emergency in & out . A ONE way system in and one way out and managed by the number of pedestrian entered and out pedestrian counter 🚶♂️ to have crowd control and the correct police numbers 👍 if not suitable for the event will be void from entry and passes should be applied on line of free entry photo recognition and address only 🎉
Decades ago rival football fans met a certain locations for violence.
