I like how, despite having the most powerful and useful units in the game, you still have to move cautiously because of the shroud. Haven't there been a few horror games where you have a proper arsenal, but you still can't be reckless because that'd be your undoing? That said, you can use the fact that you're moving "upwards" to your advantage - airborne units don't clear shroud based on the cell they're flying over, but their location on the screen, for lack of a better description. I'll give you a hint: if your starting cash is 0, odds are you're not meant to do any base- or unit-building. Love that tunnel from the terrain-expansion, wonder where it leads to.
