👉🏻 Synopsis: Crystal Bernard, Brad Stine and Brian Dennehy star in this family production in which they show us that love and acceptance are the main ingredients of our faith. Debbie Laramie (Crystal Bernard) leaves her life in Dallas and moves to a small town called Paraíso, in the state of Texas. Once settled, Debbie and her teenage son must help the small community find its way back to God. Debbie's fearless strategy further contradicts the rigid congregation members' way of thinking, until a catastrophic event forces them to join forces. An old stable is the only option they have to continue as a church. With the help of supporters and even opponents, Debbie turns challenge into opportunity, bringing new life and trust in God to a community that so desperately needs it. This film helps us to see that the church is more than the meeting place, the church is a community that practices the love of God on a daily basis and without respect of persons.

I want to be a real Christian, not just in name. What's the point of calling myself a Christian while I go against the Word and bring reproach to the name of Christ?

It's about what Jesus did on that cross like he paid the price that you and I cannot pay cuz we are not perfect but we was! He love you! God's Paradise is perfect, and so must we be made to enter the gate. Earth is his classroom, we are his students, learning to overcome our spiritual dyslexia! It's a difficult class, second to none: with the Son's help we will pass through the gate to his eternal space, it's the only way! Amen!

One of the best Christian Movies that I have ever seen. All the actors are top notch & I was very inspired to have more faith in God myself even when things look hopeless. My sincere thanks to the producers, directors & actors for making such an outstanding Christian Film to the Glory of God the Father & Jesus Christ our Savior & Lord.
It was a great movie teaching us that the Church is for the Lord, to love each other and welcome everyone as he /she is, because Jesus loves us all.

My kind of movie. I often Google the cast of films to see how old the characters are. The movie was released in 2007, which was 15 years ago. So add 15 years to what you saw in this movie. Brain Dennehy who played Bobby Brown, is now 84 years old. The show's star is Crystal Bernard, and she is 61 years old! Her son is now 34 years old. And the homeless lady is 73 years old. The basketball coach is 59 years old. And the Reverend who would shut her down was 82-year-old Ken Jenkins. As I said, I enjoy Christian movies and thank the writers and producers for making family movies available.

Well, this teary eyed Christian is positively convinced that from my knowledge of the Word and looking around at the state of our world, the God fearing, Jesus praising believers that make up ‘the Church’ will be Raptured from here at any moment! Better be sure ‘You’re’ one of ‘em!
A movie like this one brings our true Christianity to the surface. It makes us examine just what kind of Christian we are being to others..
I pray that this movie gets shared and viewed by many people before the ‘Big moment’.

Powerful movie of being the real church by loving one another, coming together to build the real church (us GOD'S people being the hands & ❤️ to represent who JESUS is) So sorry 😞 the religious spirit that still comes against women. Well done, an example of how the Church is to be a refuge and a haven for the sick and the broken and how when hearts are open the word of our Lord can enter and provide deep healing. Not everyone wants help from God because some people like living in sin. It`s very sad that many people will not enter the Kingdom of God as the Bible says because they reject Jesus.

@@johneBGood Some people just prefer using all capital letters. I have done it myself in the past and others do it because their eyesight`s not that good. My eyesight is not what it used to be because I am in my late sixties. It`s a good thing I am retired and don`t have to work any more under a boss who would be wanting to fire me because of my eyesight not measuring up to the standards of the job.
I’m a practicing Catholic and I enjoyed this movie immensely. The scene where that lovely woman receives a beautiful permanent room was very moving. Well done to all involved.

What a wonderful movie. It shows you, that with God all things are possible. It was wonderful how everyone changed their attitudes about a woman preacher and the homeless and everyone worked together to turn the barn into a church in just one day. Praise God. I would love to have a church home like this; the REAL DEAL! Not "into" female preaching over men; but kind, true, everyone welcome, all looking out for the less fortunate, a family with a deep love for our King Jesus.

I had forgotten about the song, "Steal Away". That rendition was so moving. The power of love and compassion for others is truly what Jesus was talking about when he summarized the commandments: Love God first and others second.
