He was such a good big brother. I loved how rease was a selective bully. He didn’t go for disabled kids and was, in his own weird way, always looking out for his brothers.
That proud big brother face he had when dewy beat up his bullies was sweet
One of my fav moments from the show was when he realised, him being top of the bullies kept others in line and kept people like Stevie safe, and then he realises the school has gone to chaos when he had stopped, so he went and kicked all their asses. Great episode.

Dewey was the best. He just didn’t care what other people thought. I wish I would have watched this show in the early 2000s when it was popular. I wasn’t too much younger than the actor who played Dewey.
I grew up watching this in Venezuela, the dubbing for the series is superb, I just love how spot on and tailored the screaming and insults are.
I grew up watching it - same age as the actor that played Dewey. Phenomenal coming of age show

Dewey is actually smarter than the rest of the boys. He just hides his intelligence. Pretty much summed up in the series last episode. Malcolm is the one hard working successful one. Dewey gets to breeze through life.

NGL, at first when Reese gave Dewy a bag, I was like “awwww”.
Then few seconds later I realise the bag belongs to another kid. Basically Reese bullied another kid, took his bag and tried giving it to his brother because he is afraid Dewy gets bullied. Mixed emotions 😂😂
Men take responsibility. He stole so his brother didnt have to , reese did good from my perspective.
Actually its a very clever comedy. Though they showed it in a passing moment that the bag belongs to another boy,it is very funny

It’s nice to see Reese walk with Dewey at the end with his arm wrapped around him. And that he complimented Dewey on how he handled the situation. While they do fight and hate each other at times, there will always be moments where this family loves each other and appreciates the things they do. Even though Reese likes to hit Dewey, that doesn't mean he likes to have others hit him. Reese actually said to Malcolm that when they were watching Dewey get beat up by a big bully that Reese goes easy on Dewey with hitting.
There is no better example of that than when all the boys stole a golf cart and ran over everything in their path destroying the family reunion dinner because hals family made lois cry. They absolutely love eachother.
Reese was impressed with Dewey’s intelligence in keeping a brick in his purse so he could use it as a weapon in case he got bullied. The only thing I hate is that I never thought of doing something like that when I was in elementary school.
You have to love Dwewy because he stands Up for himself when the bully makes fun of him He gives the bully what for has we all should stand up for ourselves and show the bullys that we won't take it anymore

The little moment where we see Reese return the backpack to the kid he took it from was subtle and effective storytelling. The writers really are masters of their craft.

This is what people don’t understand how perfect purses are- they can be stuffed with anything you want and be used as very effective weapons and the police can’t arrest you and press charges of using a weapon because a purse isn’t defined as being a weapon!
They can if you just start hitting people with it for no reason.

One thing I always respected about Reese was that he had his brothers back, most of the time. He told Malcolm that he beat up the other students who make fun of him for being to smart, and he was trying to look out for Dewey with the purse situation. I guess having a bully for a brother does have its perks lol

We need a full HD release of MitM. It was one of the only family comedies that managed to have positive messages *and* actually be funny. Sure, the show got worse without Francis in the house, but it still managed to be Malcolm

I honestly thought Reese got him a new backpack out of his pocket money but realising he stole it off another kid later on is just such a brilliant little detail, the writing was absolute genius on this show when it came to gags and strange scenarios they did it all.
Reese is a brother full of equal measures of love and hate.
