Holy crap if you guys haven't herd all of Februus yet, DO IT! In a year so full of disappointments i was overjoyed to hear this album come out so flawlessly. Best of 2011 for sure and probably best one of the best of all time. Not even kidding.
My first impression of this band was that its just another djeneric djent band but with Februus they really set themselves apart. This is one of the best ambient/metal songs ive heard in a long time.
What a great voice, such deep, and those lyrics, and ambient parts, one of my all-time favourite bands, only behind Periphery. And god, his voice at 3:49 ... i cant describe how much i love Uneven Structure! Forgive my english, im russian :)
Absolutely love the fact that this background picture for the "extract" is an extract from the album art. Or a slightly modified version of a part of the album art.
II. Frost ...gray landscape filled with pitch black clouds All heat has gone sensing frost Frost, surrounding everything, freezing it Trapped into thy consciousness A flawless void pours into the indefinite shell Extinguishing the inner discomfort, drowning it And wiping the haze out of these glass bulwarks Emptiness of Everything magnifies thy sensitivity As the pain slowly resorbs and lets the channels free Motionless ashes structures the horizon Mentally building an uneven grid Polygonal nests modeling brightless patterns The only visible waypoints giving a comprehension An understanding of the depth of this non energy The subconscious strings can be felt now Controlling the actions as a puppet master This manikin state avoids me to make mistakes Every little stimulation reproduces an ersatz of freewill Informations runs through these freshly born pits of senses The revigorating effect buries the verity of the context Now the assimilation (is done), host of an education. I have made A LOT of fabulous musical discoveries tonight. Uneven Structure are one of them. It all started out when I listened to Future Breed Machine - Meshuggah.
This is an album I would buy multiple times if they went this direction with their new album. Just so I can have several copies. This band is amazing, I'm so glad I came across their music
After being extremely underwhelmed by the EP, I'm so glad I gave these another chance. This is one of the best songs I've hezrd in a long time and is by far my most anticipated album of 2011
I haven't heard a track as atmospheric and just so.... full.... in such a long time. Whoever disliked it must be musically challenged. Can't wait to see them with Tesseract in September :D
First off i have to say that i like this band and what they're doing (also Periphery). That said I do have to admit that many of these "djent" bands do seem to follow the same pattern. But keep in mind that many of these bands have released only one or two recordsso far so they propably just haven't found their own style and sound. But you got a good point there.
@MrNicetomeetya It all comes down to what two people consider to be enough to be original. The leads sound very similar to Cloudkicker's in 2:39 for example and a Tesseract-esque lead then comes in on another track with the echo effect. Then the riff afterwards sounds very reminiscent of a Tesseract build up.
@MrNicetomeetya well, tesseract is ambidjent, but has a sharper energy, thats why you feel this one like... more atmospheric. I love how uneven structure changed it's style, it's amazing!
This band completely pulled it together, I mean I liked their previous album but it didn't have enough direction for my taste. Februus seems to actually take you somewhere. My favorite song is definetly "Hail".
@TobyHorak Cheers, I've saved them all to a .txt file to remind me.. I don't keep up with music news so I guess a lot of good stuff passes me by. Only discovered this band from browsing through RUclips related videos haha
anyone know what kind of amp they used on this song? Sounds tighter than a Recto but has that juicy low end. Fryette Pittbull maybe? It's amazing. Dynamic, tight, cuts through the mix, thick.
2021 and this tune is timeless.
This vocalist brings a soul to this band!
Holy crap if you guys haven't herd all of Februus yet, DO IT!
In a year so full of disappointments i was overjoyed to hear this album come out so flawlessly. Best of 2011 for sure and probably best one of the best of all time. Not even kidding.
Yep... still creeps under my skin and gives me goosebumps and cold shivers! Such an amazing piece of music! :D
My first impression of this band was that its just another djeneric djent band but with Februus they really set themselves apart. This is one of the best ambient/metal songs ive heard in a long time.
Despite living in a world of Dan Tompkins and Elliot Coleman, I fucking love this guys voice. It's perfect for Uneven's style.
I listen to this song every morning when I wake up for uni & throughout the day after.
Its slowly becoming the soundtrack to my life!
What a great voice, such deep, and those lyrics, and ambient parts, one of my all-time favourite bands, only behind Periphery. And god, his voice at 3:49 ... i cant describe how much i love Uneven Structure! Forgive my english, im russian :)
RUclips frost hits differently compared to spotify ngl
Thank God there are still musicians like these in this crappy world!
Wow...Just came across this...blown away at how good this sounds. Just added to my favorites.
This is definitely top 5 songs of all time for me, hands down
One of the greatest albums that I've ever listened to. Even today I can't think of many albums quiet as deep as this was. Still is.
Best song of all time.
Can't stop listening to this... can't go more than a few days without coming back to this one track! :D
2:40 is awesome!
it flows so well. i love 8 and this is a great direction.
gotta love the melodic vocals.
^ to everyone who thinks they have something negative to say about this group..i listen to this album every fuckin day and it keeps getting better
Saw these live in Newcastle the other week, absolutely beautiful music. There is no other description for it. Can't wait for the album to come out.
Saw these guys last night supporting Chimp Spanner and TesseracT and honestly... they were the highlight of the night!
I love you guys, your music gets me like nothing does, I thank you for it!
awesome song , love the atmosphere
Absolutely love the fact that this background picture for the "extract" is an extract from the album art. Or a slightly modified version of a part of the album art.
Heavy and ambient, I love it!
II. Frost
...gray landscape filled with pitch black clouds
All heat has gone sensing frost
Frost, surrounding everything, freezing it
Trapped into thy consciousness
A flawless void pours into the indefinite shell
Extinguishing the inner discomfort, drowning it
And wiping the haze out of these glass bulwarks
Emptiness of Everything magnifies thy sensitivity
As the pain slowly resorbs and lets the channels free
Motionless ashes structures the horizon
Mentally building an uneven grid
Polygonal nests modeling brightless patterns
The only visible waypoints giving a comprehension
An understanding of the depth of this non energy
The subconscious strings can be felt now
Controlling the actions as a puppet master
This manikin state avoids me to make mistakes
Every little stimulation reproduces an ersatz of freewill
Informations runs through these freshly born pits of senses
The revigorating effect buries the verity of the context
Now the assimilation (is done), host of an education.
III. Hail
Hail
Walls of rain washes out the innocence
The magnificent flood carves the letters down the flesh
Hierarchy slips into the felt strings - Alterating it all
Facing the preys as if they were real threats - Schism
Paranoid illusions leading to an higher step of evolution
A lull in the storm
Scattered clouds
At the break of the day
The allayer of fears
Dissipates the marks
Dries out the swamping lands
As water resorbs, ground can finally be seen
Very first sensation of an embodied existence
Fertility welcomes an higher comfort
An abode where experiences can melt.
I have made A LOT of fabulous musical discoveries tonight. Uneven Structure are one of them. It all started out when I listened to Future Breed Machine - Meshuggah.
I love how the section starting at 1:23 continues from the off-beat of the section that flows into. It's ingenious. :D
Still holds up after 10 years.
These guys have their own sound, and its so distinct
I´ve been looking for this song and band for over a year. Loved it soo much but somehow lost the name. Glad I found it again ! :>
Juste fantastique .. merci US!!
Nothing will ever top this, Igor and Aure were lightyears ahead of everyone at the time.
love this song! love this album! keep kicking ass guys.
Cannot stop listening to this song
Went and saw uneven structure back in the easter and they played this song, fucking amazing!!!
So jealous.....how was that even possible unless you flew to France? lol..
Matthew Mccune

This is the future of music.
Beautiful song, cant wait for the album
This is an album I would buy multiple times if they went this direction with their new album. Just so I can have several copies. This band is amazing, I'm so glad I came across their music
In my ears... This is one of the best songs of 2011 !
Saw them supporting PtH a few months ago, great show but shame the room was empty. The merch guys were super happy about me buying a t-shirt.
Terrifying, never felt so overwhelmed in my life, awesome
Beautiful. Period.
this makes great use of space and percussive sounds. at least someone is willing to make this kind of music.
After being extremely underwhelmed by the EP, I'm so glad I gave these another chance. This is one of the best songs I've hezrd in a long time and is by far my most anticipated album of 2011
Such an epic song

MIND.JUST.GOT.BLOWN.
the epic scale broke when they made this song
This song is incredible. :o
Awesome vocals and atmospheric music. I have a vision that Uneven Structure will be big; mark my words. I wish you all the best :)

I think this is incredible! I also can't wait for vildjharta's debut as well.
I never realized the difference in sound quality on youtube between the most hd and lowest till just now. wow.
Man, this so so awesome...
Just heard this on Total Rock...love it...
ambient drone metal, hell yes.
I haven't heard a track as atmospheric and just so.... full.... in such a long time. Whoever disliked it must be musically challenged. Can't wait to see them with Tesseract in September :D
This was incredible last night.
This rules. It makes me think of a crowbar fight to the death in the middle of a nebula. My ears win.
@bxdp The album is out on October 31st, you can already preorder it on Play.com or Basick Records Store.
HOLY SHIT THIS IS GOLD!
I'm going to listen the shit out of this album when it comes out
@MrNicetomeetya It all comes down to what two people consider to be enough to be original. The leads sound very similar to Cloudkicker's in 2:39 for example and a Tesseract-esque lead then comes in on another track with the echo effect. Then the riff afterwards sounds very reminiscent of a Tesseract build up.
Very nice!
@MrNicetomeetya well, tesseract is ambidjent, but has a sharper energy, thats why you feel this one like... more atmospheric.
I love how uneven structure changed it's style, it's amazing!
This still slaps.
@jajajah86 Yeah I know what you mean, but its just relaxing and ambient. Plus it does build up into the heavy riff which is awesome!
This is awesome
To set the record. Acle told me that he used Eggeh's (the guitar player of Uneven Structures) Pod xt patch to record FELLSILENT's album.
awesome cover
@PortalOfTruth U may also want to try out, Sybreed, Laments of silence, The Neologist, and universum. Those are really great artists as well.
This band completely pulled it together, I mean I liked their previous album but it didn't have enough direction for my taste. Februus seems to actually take you somewhere. My favorite song is definetly "Hail".
Why thank You! :D
best intro ever!
I love it......that is all
this is awesome, just when i thought all new music was shit this comes along
You have to see Uneven Structure live... they are fucking beast (:
such gold
Is there any chance we could get the full set of lyrics for this? The vocals are so awesome.
uneven structure is the fuckin job man
@TobyHorak Cheers, I've saved them all to a .txt file to remind me.. I don't keep up with music news so I guess a lot of good stuff passes me by. Only discovered this band from browsing through RUclips related videos haha
this is the first cd i have ever bought.
This track positively makes my hair stand on end.
definitely heard that,good ear.
@MasterDonut This needs to be put in the description.
@Archetupon Dark Lyrics has their new albums lyrics, they also don't have a bunch of shitty advertisements going on all over their page.
anyone know what kind of amp they used on this song? Sounds tighter than a Recto but has that juicy low end. Fryette Pittbull maybe? It's amazing. Dynamic, tight, cuts through the mix, thick.
1:23 I wish they'd just played that ambient-ish part for alot longer, it's really nice :)
Was this before they decided how they were going to divide the songs up? This has the first section of "Hail" tagged on to it too.
amazing
Eggeh is my hero,
I dig the tempo shift at 4:59
Nothing happened with the tempo here, man
This song and picture inspired me to paint something similar, no song/tune has ever done that to me...
