I was in the path of totality in 2017 and it was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. But I gotta say my #1 most amazing thing I've seen was the volcano of 2022 in Iceland. But like you, I've had the privilege to see so many amazing and beautiful things. And sometimes it gets hard to say, oh this is the most amazing thing I've ever seen, when in reality those things keep changing with every new thing you see. Like, for this Eclipse, I was at the Grand Canyon and not only was I blown away by its beauty, but I also got to see 70% of the eclipse, and even though it wasn't total, it was still so so cool to see
"What am I doing with my life?" I've asked myself that question 100's of times. Thank god for my gratitude journal. The little things in life are not so little.
I was in the path of totality up here in Maine. I was out in the woods where there was very little light pollution - not too long a drive from Mt. Katahdin. Watched it over a river. I ended up having to let several people know that they could take their glasses off once it was total so might be more common than you'd think to not know that. The only thing I regret was that I didn't bring S'mores makings - several other groups of people had campfires going while waiting and had been forethinking enough to bring the tasty treats.
I did the same screen replacement before and i ran into the same issue when trying to power on. So when i was watching you do the repair i was giddy to see if you would have the problem. Glad u were able to sort it out! It took me a minute before i tried plugging it in.
We were only talking yesterday about how easy it is to search anything up on the net for instant answers to a query we may have. In now 59 yrs old & I recall having to hit the encyclopaedia Britannica for sources of information. Even then the information contained within it may well be out dated. Forget gaming, I'm just not agile & coordinated enough to use a gaming controller. I'm so far behind the weekend that I've just learnt about Grammarly for use in assignments. I still feel more confident using the ole Harvard referencing guide as well. Regards from Adelaide, South Australia 🇦🇺
It delights me to see she chose to have it repaired rather than get a new device, we need to repair more things rather than replace 'm with new things. I'm glad you enjoyed the eclipse, i once saw it when i was young and it is one of the most spectacular things ive seen in my life. Not every planet has a moon that will completely cover their star, its super rare! And so cool to witness.
One of my co-workers said he was a 2-hour drive from the totality zone and he said he feel like it was worth taking the vacation time for a day trip to go see it. I was unbelievably upset lol
Hi Robbie. At 8:57 your hair looks very "Amy Winehouse". I've been trying to get my hair like that for years. I love it when you chat with your mom. I'm her age and have a son your age. We have great chats too. And I'm planning a trip for the Iceland eclipse. I think someone spilled the tea when you were on the Kumano Kodo that you're getting married. So is my son. Congratulations. Thank you for sharing your content and music.
I don't get people who didn't care about the eclipse. I went to my mom's house to see it (in the path of the total eclipse), and her neighbor across the street came out literally like 10 minutes later and said, "oh yeah, I was in the shower" and just didn't care. For many people it may be the only chance in your life to see this, why would you not take 10 minutes out of your day to walk outside and look at it???

We were in the path of totality too... But had cloudy weather so no eclipse, just darkness. Glad you got to enjoy it.

Robby there is a solar eclipse somewhere on earth every 18 months. Check the schedule and maybe you'll find another one that'll make a great trip.
While this is true, you need to remember that a large majority of the earth is water.

Thank you for adding in your mom! Love your relationship with her. And to learn she’s my age!! 😂

Has anybody noticed he’s not wearing his ting anymore? Did she get sick of the gaming and traveling already?
😂
Speaking of Podcasts....
So, when are you gonna get a place with your wife?
I imagine they have one, and he commutes to his mom's place to do work. That's the idea I've gotten from the vlogs, anyways
@@NewSparky97yeah, I'm pretty sure he just uses his mom's house as an office
i had no idea he was married.
It's not so much that I don't care, but it was smack dab in the middle of the day and I was buried in work
