the passengers of that balloon are incredibly lucky to clear those power lines. a similar thing happened in my county where 22 people died from the fire and falling :(

the fact that the train passed by the first cat unharmed was impressive, but of course, the second one must eventually fulfill their duties.
Looks like there's a third cat down the line... just in case.
Balloonist here, while this is speculating, I can add in an idea of what MAY have happened.
Have you ever seen birds flying in a circle not flapping their wings? Their riding whats called a thermal, which is a rising pocket of hot air. For things like gliders, this is good because it keeps us afloat. On the other hand, in balloons thermals OR descending/ascending too quickly can cause a collapse of the throat, which makes it impossible to burn without burning thru the fabric. While I doubt thats what happened, its the first real "malfunction" where you still have burners.
Your BIG malfunction in balloons is running out of fuel, which doesnt seem to be the case.
At the end of the day, my money goes on pilot error and failure to recognize wind patterns and maintain the layer your flying in. While theres a ton of possibilities, the one time Ive seen this happen in person was a new pilot on a high speed landing who came in too low and removed half the roof off a house, which is why Im guessing pilot error.

Turning isn't surprising. You have to spin the rock to skip it. Each time it hits the water, it's imparting some of that spin into its direction of travel.

It's insane to me how much proof there is that the Earth is flat, and like people don't take 10 seconds to use their brain and think, "hmmm, flat stone skipping on a body of water...would that be possible if the Earth was round? No. No it wouldn't." Like you could show this very simple and effective proof to 1000 different scientists and they would all come up with excuses as to why a flat stone skips on water, yet somehow the earth _isn't_ flat, like do you even hear yourself? This is why I trust real world examples like this video and not these scientist hacks that try to use proven science and apply it to an incorrect idea. I mean just, _watch the video._

Seeing the Dinosaur Valley Park brought back some fond memories. My dad took me when I was younger because I had an absolute fascination about dinos, was one of the coolest things ever.

At 2:03 ...I grew up in Dallas...Glen Rose Dinosaur Valley State Park is about 1 hour southwest of Dallas...I went twice to this park, and saw the prints when I was 7, then at 12...It was always so fascinating!!!!

We had a young man on a balloon ride with several unknown people, only a couple of months ago, he chatted with the pilot on the way up, the video showed him looking around & then he climbed over the edge & jumped. How the hell he didn't kill someone else I don't know, he landed on a busy road, missed residences & people in cars going to work. I can't imagine the trauma the people in the basket or in the street felt seeing this, even the ones who didn't see it but heard him hit the road, the poor guy must have had some demons to do such a thing. Oh yeah sorry, here in Australia.

Most dogs find being left alone a traumatic experience. A bit like solitary confinement which is a mental torture technique used in prisons. Dogs originate from wolves which are pack animals. You are a member of your dog’s pack, being alone isn’t usual for pack animals. It makes them feel extremely vulnerable and can lead to unwanted behaviour patterns. I never leave my dog alone for more than two hours otherwise I make sure to leave him with a neighbour.
I'm guessing that doggie has a pretty good life overall. Owner seems sweet.
But the bills have to be paid and she's gotta go to work. 😬
@@georgehenderson7783 A life of a dog with severe separation anxiety (which is what we are SUPPOSING) is not a good life. The owner of that dog should seek help. If that's the case, of course.
@@RestWithin It depends a lot. If you satisfy the dog's needs and trained so that it doesn't have separation anxiety, it can stay a long period of time and be ok. Crate training helps a lot with it also.

I live just down the road from Dinosaur Valley state park, the coolest thing about it is the fact that you can swim in the same river that the foot prints are! In an area of the river with water, you can swim and look down into the clear water and see the prints below you.

2:32, that isn't a conveyor belt, its an Archimedes screw... Which makes that even crazier to think about because those are used for moving liquids and grains, not anything on the scale of a racoon. Plus he gets the fall at the end.
