Just did the same mod to my new Grom. Easy upgrade, looks awesome, inexpensive and a nice functional improvement over the stock "antenna" mirrors. Using the washers as spacers is the way to go versus trying to remove the weights inside of the handlebars. The new mirrors completely change the profile of the Grom!
Another easy way to get the factory bar ends off is to wrap a towel around them and use vise grips to turn them. Broke them loose and didn't mar the finish if I need them later.
Just a FYI but since you’re using the Ram Mount system, like I do for my phone and GoPro, you should check out the Quick Grip. It’s way awesome and much better than the mount you have now. Looks so much cleaner too with phone mounted.
@@TTorres1183 You don’t have to switch. You’re phone with case will slide right in. It’s really a fantastic mount and a nice step up from the X Grip. It’s a much cleaner look, more secure, and easier to put phone in and out. ruclips.net/video/A1WC1lWAZtg/видео.html
@@TTorres1183 No the same but a low impact driver. Worked great on the throttle side. The other side it broke 2 Ryobie #3 screw bits. Ended up tripping it. I have new ones on order
If you drill out two nickels, you will save 10 cents on washers. lol As soon the washers companies find out we drill out pennies & nickels cheaper then buying washers. The price should drop.
I can't understand why Groms don't have bar end mirrors from the factory, the original mirrors are absolutely worthless. I bought a new Grom this year and changed the mirrors the first week I had it.
Leave this video a like for the CAVEMAN vibes!

Ending is the best part. Love the riding content since you purchased the bike
Thanks man!
Good call on the hand impact. I'm going to pick one up along with a JIS bit set to try to remove my bar ends with the most minimal damage.

Good idea
You can always take a soldering iron and heat just the bolt/ screw. It will soften up that thread locker.
Bro cant wait for more motovlogs i will be down in march or April bro we gonna ride those streets!!!!
Let’s do it!
If you put the screw upside down on the clap it makes it tight

I just don’t wanna switch phone cases…

I’ll check it out thanks
could have used black spacers so that metal isnt visible. just an fyi
Are those factory bars? If so, where exactly do you have your mount and what model mount? Obviously a Ram mount but curious on neck and etc
That tool is called an impact driver. I did not see a link to the mirrors.
Link to mirrors in the description

Yessir
Even when he tightened it they were still loose
I cant get that screw off
Did you use the same driver I used?
