- First actual Ninjago video in a hot minute! (besides that last one but it was more of a warmup so it doesn't count)
Anyways so Im sure you all noticed the random quality spike like 30 seconds into the video... fun fact, I started this storyboard almost 2 years ago, right when I finished the "Ready as I'll Ever Be" Animatic... Then proceeded to drop it for like a year, pick it up again briefly... and then drop it again... and then maybe a week ago finished it up. So I'm sorry for the style change like... three times... But honestly I do not have it in me to go back and redo the first thirty seconds lol. Think of it as an animation progress video eh?
Hopefully the story is pretty understandable... I might release a bit of an explanation script if anyone wants it? but honestly I really love it when you guys interpret my videos and their stories.
If you really wanna know though, this is based off my villain Pixal AU... in which she has a vendetta against humans and believes herself and all other androids to be superior. She wants to go through with her plans but alas she just is not as powerful as a robot built by the great Dr. Julian, no matter how close Cyrus Borg attempted to get...

Oh man. I could see this as Pixal having some of the Overlord's old programming still buried in her and it comes up after everyone turns on the Ninja after some event(not Crystalized just anything, maybe with Emperor Garmadon back in season 8 and 9, any probably anything with Season 11 and 12 too). And because they're all humans she sees they are flawed and cannot see past the bad things he ninja have done, so she rectifies it by building, or trying to build, another, better, Nindroid army. Just my interpretation on how events could have gotten to this point. Great storyboard, amazing animation, and that raw emotion fills me up!
Maybe her plugging herself directly into the power grid in Kaiju Protocol had consequences?

Honestly I can't get over how gentle Zane is and how well you showed that!! Like despite the obvious horror and anger he feels he doesn't outwardly lash out till that one bit. And even then he doesn't put right fight her until she makes his exit inaccessible forcing him to confront her right then and there. It's just. Wonderfully in line for his character
Zane doing an Elsa in the ball is something i didnt know i needed 🥱💀💀😊
An evil Pixal is something I never knew that I wanted to see. You did such a great job to animate it.
*clapping* Super glad you’re back! The little details such as Zane’s contact name on Cole’s phone makes this infinitely better, the expressions are also awesome also, I really like the way you draw PIXAL yeh, kinda random but overall, this is super awesome!

The thought and ambition that goes directly into Pixal's actions and how you perceive her is a work of art alone, next to how absolutely STUNNING this storyboard is and how the perspective really shows your skill and your imagination. MAD PROPS BESTIE I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!

What. Wha- okay, what if Pixel is like . . . The element of technology?? (And she like, kept that a secret) And through out all of the show, she’s secretly been really plotting her “revenge” so she can “avenge” the digital overlord? But . . . She doesn’t actually want to bring the overlord back or serve him and whatever. Because, as a part of the element of tech, she saw power in the overlord, and wanted to take it for herself. So by manipulating the team and Zane, she pulled enough strings to get the chance to bring him back. 👀
I was a lil iffy on evil pixel (and evil julien for that matter,) but after seein how good this animatic and plot is, OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I LIKE IT, I LIKE IT
No man, Pixane is the most wholesome ship :(
Sadly, we have a different master of technology in the show. That would've been sick though- to give PIXAL an elemental power.
Amazing Animatic 😍I would have loved to see a conflict like this between Pixane during Reboot, but sadly the season wasn't long enough for that. The way Zane elemental power reacts to his emotional state, his anger is something that I love to see, because he's more of a calm nature, and with Pixal -his love- LOVE IT !!!
this gave me CHILLS. this is so cool and intense and i love when zane gets a little irrational and very emotional for the sake of his loved ones. it's my favorite part of his character and not one that's explored enough

Holy cow! I’m not sure entirely what you did(I read the description and I really should look at your other works) but you took my favorite ninja(always have been a Zane fan) and one of my favorite seasons and blended a fun amount of angst and a song that I just found recently. I love this so much, and you did such a great job with it!

I love the edit to the vocals of the song to make it sound that slight bit more like a robot.

this is amazinggggg yalll, from what i get from this, i assume zane saraficed himselfs or pixle killed zane, llyod and the others found out and are heartbroken and confused on what and why, i feel like her is saying harumi mostly bc i cant think of anyone else lloyd would want to get revenge on, pixel saying harumi s dead, lloyd dont care trying to take revenge, i honestly dont know anything else lol. enjoy my messy theory on whats happeneing

This was freaking insane! I need to know more about this story! For one, what did evil Pixal do to Echo? 2- why? 3-.... just... OMG this is absolutely amazing.
Well she doesn’t have the same core as a robot built by Dr. Julian, they have an unlimited/semi limited power source… and in order to make a future better for android kind, sacrificing one for the sake of many was no question for her.

Idk why but I have a feeling that the next time the overlord comes back is through pixal because she most likely have some of the overlords code hidden deep in her programming laying dormant waiting to get strong enough to control her and continue with his plan kind of like how he came back through one of zane's memories in decoded slowly deleting zane's memory and code and replacing it with his own and slowly taking control
