@user-xc7uo6md3n it works. If the door is unlocked, you still can't get in from the outside. I haven't tried to kick the door open, haha. But it seems to work.
If it sits flush then you'll likely have to force it to fall into the locked position. If it's touching the door, the door will prevent it from freely falling into the locked position on it's own. If you leave a small gap, then there won't be any resistance to it sliding down and locking.
I cannot change out the plate with the Alan key. It's too darn tight! Help! I have four of these I'm looking to install. The bronze flip look is very nice looking.
I ordered a FlipLok, it arrived Monday afternoon. How important is the spacer? I think I'd like to install with the lock touching the door when it's closed, I'd have to use the middle thickness spacer which would keep the look from touching. Plus the spacer won't sit flush up against the casing/trim.
I’m an old lady and I installed five (5) in one hour. Only two needed spacers. And, two needed me to reverse the drop bolt. Love this product and the company gives great service.
It looks like it can only be locked from inside when you are home. Can you lock it from outside when you are leaving the house, as you do with a dead bolt?
@@bwest6275 It's simple really. Tie a string around the toggle end of tape it. Then hold the string as the door closes. Now from outside the house pull on the string and the the lock should flip shut, effectively locking you out of your house for good.
@@pilarq7886 I bet your mind gets blown as frequently as you get called a Karen....all the time. Take a deep breath, the installation is self explanatory. Karen.
Nice job on the video! My lock came in the mail today.
How is it going with the lock?

2:35 Why not just put it to where it touches the door?

FLIPLOK means peace of mind. TYSM
Great demo!
3:15 Why do you want to fill the gap? It needs it to work properly or is it just for looks only
Unable to unlock the pin to switch the grooved piece. You turn it a couple of times and I have turned mine about 100 times.
I have the same problem
Same.

Use a wrench and the (provided) Allen wrench. I’m an old lady and I installed in five (5) minutes

How do you propose to make that possible?
It’s a fantastic four rubber guy’s task
