Enjoyed the video but in my experience all you pretty much gotta do to pass a CBT is turn up with a helmet and not fall off your bike.

I am simplifying it. I don't believe it is possible to fail a CBT. My opinion is if you can't pass your CBT on first time of asking, you do not deserve to be on 2 wheels.

People have failed the CBT though, so it is technically possible. It's all about the instructor. Some would let you run reds and you'll still pass but others might fail you for not indicating on a turn.
that happened to me cause i didnt indicate once and not pressing the the brake with 4 fingers mine was proper strict

Honestly guys you have nothing to worry about, just turned up today never ridden a bike before and it was amazing, can’t wait to get back on the bike again :) you guys will love it! ps: i used trainers and they didn’t say anything.

50cc's are okay, it's just that they have to be restricted to under 30mph for 16 year olds, which is unsafe to be honest.

when you were doing a figure of 8 and said about putting your feet on the floor, do you fail the whole cba or just have to do the figure of 8 again

@@LHoriginal you just do the exercise again. As with all aspects of the CBT, the instructor will explain what you did wrong and let you repeat the manoeuvre

I need a moped to get to work and back. All I need to be roadworthy is just to pass the CBT and get my provisional license? (obviously not including the moped itself and the insurance)

Everyone here on their CBT certificate driving on L plate, just go and do the full test, I did, it's essentially the same as the CBT only if you pass both modules you'll have a driving licence, plus insurance costs reduce too.
gingercatni Most people who get scooters are 16 so they only get CBT’s.
@@ahdkfknsbcienfnsk i know, however fair amount over over 25's riding about on l plates, it makes no sense, L plates are a licence for people to treat you like sh*t on the road.

Impressive number of views on this video. Think we may need to get you to have a chat with our marketing department...however, from an instructors perspective, we really do have some serious concerns that folk might be using this as a guide of what to expect on a quality CBT. 10/10 for initiative though. Keep it on the black stuff.

Recently doing my training at Starbucks to get my passion for coffee back and its very far from home like 2 hours of walking long so I'm wondering to myself how to get there without using uber or a taxi all the time.

I was just wondering if you can do your CBT on a 125cc scooter at the training centre or is it on a 50cc? Would be grateful if you could help as different websites say different things. Cheers.
depends on your age if your 16 then it must be a 50cc because that's all your allowed to ride at 16 but if you are 17 or older then you are allowed to use a 125cc scooter or you could use the bikes that they provide it's your choice.
Tell the instructor you already have experience driving' you go straight on the road and pass in 1hr.
If this is how your instructor conducted your CBT, that's completely incorrect. A full day's training is required.
Nice man, luckily I have my full license and don't have to do that shit anymore ;) But when I was still in training I watched so many videos how the test and exams are going ;)

well if the place doesn't supply you with a bike then you would need to bring your bike on a trailer

Great video mate. Im planning on getting a moped in a few weeks, but I'm quite a heavier guy. Would I be legally able to ride a 125cc on just a cbt, or would I need to get a full license? Also, would a 50cc carry my weight? I'm around 120-130kg
50cc won't to the job, go for a 125

so for my moped lisence all i have to do is get a roadworthy moped insured tax mot'd display my l plates make sure everything works before i go to do my cbt, (bring my lisence ive already sent away for) and a helmet do my cbt then im able to ride on the road? can someone correct me if im wrong

foot down is not an instant fail, it is on a Mod 1 of a proper test, but not on a CBT

125cc, as you're 18 you can drive one on a CBT. Don't forget L plates.

Did you sit your cbt on a geared bike or a push and go ? Going for mine soon and not sure what to do it in as already purchased an xmax 125 what do you recommend I'm doing it in Glasgow as well cheers .
I sat my CBT on a 50cc twist and go scooter. If you have previous experience with geared bikes then do it with a geared bike but of not then a twist and go makes it alot easier to do.
I haven't had any training on a bike so wasn't sure what would be best incase I ended up getting a bike Aswell as the scooter . Do they ask you what you want to do it on or what I'm doing the one at bike rite it's the rutherglen one .
I would recommend using a scooter if you have no experience on a bike. and I don't know what they will say in that test center as I did mine in the one in paisley.

nah it was bike it I did mine with and I just brought my bike on a trailer to the place and didn't ask them anything.

My CBT took around 8 hours (including a lunch break). When people are saying it only took them a few hours they were most likely not trained correctly

You keep on mentioning 'fail'. There is no such thing as failing on the CBT in terms of individual maneuvers. The only way in which you will not be awarded your CBT certificate at the end of the day, is if the instructor believes that you do not have proper control of the bike and will therefore not be safe on the road. If this happens, they may ask you to attend a follow-up training session to improve your level of skill before awarding the CBT certificate.
Wouldn't it be a good idea and much safer to ask a pupil before taking their cash if they know, in full, how to use and ease off the throttle using the brakes, whilst balancing moving very slowly the same time as looking left and right, not wobbling and also listening to so called instructions through an earpiece? All this took place for me within an hour of sitting on a motorbike for the first time ever for me, even though I clearly explained when booking the day I was a complete and total novice who had never driven a car. It would have been much better (for me - the pupil!), and I am sure this must also apply to others, to have hourly lessons over time and build up to being supervised on the road, rather than cramming it all into several hours in one long day. I wonder how many car drivers have their very first lesson on the first day, lasting for eight hours? My experience of CBT is that it is definitely designed for those who know how to handle a bike reasonably well beforehand as well as having a good knowledge of the highway code! If they haven't their money shouldn't be taken. Once bitten twice shy in my case.
