Wow. This video was such a big part of my childhood as a fan of Adventure Time and Simon in particular. I watched this so many times that this song is forever associated with the character in my brain. Its wild that I run into it again just as the new Fiona and Cake show comes out. Finally giving us Simon as a main character. We made it friends. It's finally his time in the spotlight. I hope he finds the peace and happiness he deserves. For all of us who grew up with this character. He deserves that much.
Once upon a time, in the Adventure Time story-idea making room, one of the creators turned to another and said, "Hey, you know Ice King? That silly, wacky character of ours? Let's give him the most tragic backstory ever!" And so they did.
When the last Adventure Time episode airs, I want things to all work out. I want Finn and Fionna to somehow meet, and everyone just get what they deserve. And... I want to get Simon back.
I think there should be an episode like that though... where he chooses to stay as the Ice King though in order to keep Marceline happy cause she's the only one that truly knows of his past... maybe Princess Bubblegum through her science could find a way to look into Simon's mind...
Marceline and the ice king are hundreds of years old so any mutation in the show like the candy people there ancestors could have been humans mutated and they eventually evolved when billy trapped the lich in which case all humans that survived are the ones who were untouched by the radiation

There should be a episode when Simon regains his sanity and remembers the past but still has the crown and its power so he'll stay alive because if he became Simon again and toke the crown off he will die immediately and adventure time will lose some of there fan base
He doesn't die immediately actually. He dies agonizingly slowly unless he wears it. This is why he had to keep putting it on when the war first happened. Radiation poisoning my good sir.
I think I wasn't the only one who first saw the ice king and thought "What the hell he is stupid." And then to see what really happened and suddenly he's your favorite character, I wish he would go back to being human or at least find Betty, but I hope his character has found some measure of peace.
No, its sad that's he's Ice King but I feel it's better as Ice king. He wouldn't have realistically any recollection of his human life and would be dead once it happened, and the crown is keeping him alive, even though its making him crazy. It really sad, but it doesn't make sense for him to go back
No, Betty (simon petrikovs ex g.friend.) was killed in the war. PB is a mutation of Betty. This happened due to the bomb the Lich was in. I know because Pendelton Ward (director of adventure time) notified that in an interveiw.
people dont think their real in this world. Its a theory that much like finns pillow dream, it is actually another world. IK found but forgot it somehow, so he writes the subconcious thoughts, the same way simon takes over subconciously and makes IK capture princesses. But it is just a theory.
omfg i love simon more than anyone in adventure time. why does finn keep thinking hes the only human when hes surrounded by some for ex:marceline ice king a.k.a simon marceline is a vampier nd vampiers were human before simon is human then he turned into ice king still human and he still has a heart. everyone is like hes the worst cuz all he does is steel princesses when all he is trying to do is find his princess betty but what he dosent realize is....bettys gone omg im like crying now cuz hel
