Just another piece of advice on travel trailers, when you go for your rides I would always retract your awning if a good wind comes up it can easily be torn off, speaking from experience if you have the automatic one with a wind speed sensor I still wouldn't trust it... Love y'all rides and videos.
I don't know who found who but you both got lucky when you found each other. To find someone with the same passion for life and travel and of course motorcycles I had to throw that in. What more can you ask for in life. The two of you are awesome people enjoy life be safe
Antigravity makes great small jump start battery , much smaller than jumper cables. Maybe something to rap around your front brake lever so the bike doesn't roll away when you are picking it up. Industrial double back velcro rapped around the master cylinder is were mine lives.
It's about time :) you two look much happier and rested. A refer, toilet, and hard top shelter makes life so much easier to handle when life or weather throws you a curve ball. I'm excited to see what comes next. Take care and keep the videos coming.
Stumbled upon this vid by chance. I really appreciate how you showed my home state in such a wonderful light. I've been riding the woods and backroads of this state for years and have just scratched the surface. Thanks for sharing. Great edit and inspiring content. You have one more subscriber.
Harley Davison blew another great opportunity.(Surprise...lol) I wish they had offered you a Pan America. I, and I'm sure many would have loved seeing one beside the GS. Enjoyed watching you push that 96ci, spoked wheeled Road Glide every week. That's what Harley needs people watching, and being proud of. Oh well.... We have love watching you guys over the years and will continue watching you, because deep down you're right, "its not what you ride". Congratulations on the upgraded mode of transportation / similar to what we do. I hope one day our paths cross.
Now that kind of camping I might be able to talk my wife into. The tent, not so much. We loved Arkansas. Our favorite bike trip. No dirt roads with an electra glide and tri glide though. Lol. Hope you got a chance to see the Arkansas grand canyon. Spectacular. Lol I couldn't help but wonder how rough sleeping in a tent was after the bean festival. 😅
We would have loved to known you were in town! You road right in front of our house, just down from Timbo Grocery, they also have a GREAT burgers and pizza! LOVE the riding in the area, Peal ferry loop is one of our favorites!
Great trick for closing up the hybrid trailer. close all your vents and windows and doors. turn on your ceiling fan and from out side you will see all the canopies get pulled in. makes it so easy to close up. have fun and see you on the road.
24° here in West Michigan. Have a blanket and dog on my lap as I’m watching this. Loving it. See you all are going to get all sorts of trouble. Enjoy it!
Good Video. I love riding around Arkansas. One of the best states for riding. Very biker friendly state. I'm glad you checked out Mountain View, AR because there is so much to see in that area. Mountain View also has Bluegrass music on the court house square every weekend. Good place to camp and swim at Sylamore creek which is about 15 miles northwest of Mountain View.
Hey, just saw your trip to Leakey video. Sorry you missed the largest oak tree in Rio Frio. You drive right by it and don't realise it's just 1 tree and not a yard full of trees. We live in Leakey and ride as well. Glad you enjoyed your trip. Thanks for posting and love to see more trips.
Happy New Year!! I started following you guys in 2020.... Haven't watched in about 8 months though.... The both of you look fantastic and actually look younger!! Best wishes for this year!!
Interesting development. It is a ONE WAY road! I have a BMW GS, and a Road King too. I love the RK, and tour with it every year, but when it comes to really make up a lot of mileage, and get off the saddle in a reasonable shape, the GS cannot be beaten (I know many will dislike this comment). My guess? You will keep the HD for smaller tours, but we will see you on the GS from now on. PS: not to mention the far superior behavior on dirt of the GS ...
GS Adventure, they are great. Welcome to the fold. Been riding GS’s since Charlie and Ewen did a long way. Always gets me home. You will find any road is always OK.
Happy New Year! Glad to see the changes that you are making. I enjoy your filming of your day trips with your motorcycles the most. The way you are camping is now more relatable to how many of your followers may do the same trips with their motorcycles. I personally own a cargo trailer that I put my bike and camping gear in and take similar trips on my Ducati, I would never have the guts to do what both of you have done for almost two years now! I hope you ride for many more years as you are great ambassadors for people who own motorcycles!
Happy New Year ! I loved seeing you two in my home state of Arkansas. I wished I had known Ya'll were here I would have loved to have met you in person. Thank you for showcasing and traveling our beautiful state. I travel the entire state with my work and I'm in Mountain View often. Glad you got to experience it. I Hope you come back someday. Congrats on the new GS !
The new camper looks great and I'm sure you sleep just a little sounder and Richard's new bike completes the package, great vlog looking forward to the new season thanks Steve
You two are awesome and truly inspiring and motivating everyone to go out there and live their own adventures, well done, happy new year full of joy and more amazing videos!! PS: your new set up looks great, Heidi looks awesome, and to me you made the right choice, well done!! 👍👍
I just love watching you guys👍🏼. Keep it going & love your new home ❤. I started following you 2 month ago. Sorry for the lost of your friend Stay safe
Really like to see how you two have evolved into where you are with this now. This will make your daily adventures so much more enjoyable. Yeah, there’ll be those who won’t be happy with this new way of camping but I give you A LOT of credit for doing the Ruby thing as long as you did. Having ridden and still riding for close to 50 years, slept under tarp covered picnic tables and pup tents. I now travel state to state similar to you guys and ride out a couple hundred miles in any direction.
Look’n good guys, Lost count of the number of times I’ve dropped my GS. This is where the debate about soft or hard luggage rears it’s head when off roading. Look forward to more of your back country riding. Stay Safe
You guys are precious. Love your personalities. And what a life. How I would love to do what you are doing. Ive riden bikes all my life. Just got back from a texas to california round trip. After seeing this will be going to Arkansas next. Thanks for sharing your wonderful life.
So Happy you guys are back!!! Wasn't really quite sure what to expect with Ruby gone. Well, gotta say, sweet set up and my wife and I being of similar age. This is the only way we would travel on an extended period of time. Then Richard pulled off the big GSA and wow. Great choice if I do say so myself. A definite HUGE thumbs up. Looking forward to season 6!!!
ok guys i have checked out your channel a few times its allways been very good, but now that your both on adventure bikes my excitement level is on overdrive. im a current roadglide guy but ready to jump to a pan or gs and this channel is just so encouraging ,love what u guys do .
Cool setup you now have! I would suggest getting the BMW diagnostic tool (GS-911) so you can check systems out and reset any sensors that go out. I don't think Richard will really want to get back on the Harley after some time riding the BMW. Besides performing riding duties much better it must be easier to load onto the truck.
Can’t beat those Swiss Army knife motorcycles. They do it all. With style and character. R1250 GS/GSA wonderful. You two just get better at what you do. Living and learning. No other way. Wisdom. Respect. Ride safe and ride often.
How about that driveway to/from the Natural Bridge?! Also, something I've always wanted to see...can you put a date stamp in the early part of your videos that shows the date(s) of the recording? Would like to compare the views, congestion of population at some of the sites, and see the (lack of) leaves on the trees, when planning the next trip. Like this video...I used Rich's phone (28:17 mark) to calculate how long it takes you to get from Mountain View, AR to Big Bend, TX. ;)
Hello from the West coast! - love your content and really appreciate you taking us along - you inspired us to downsize our RV living situation and bring the bike along, thanks Hope to see you out there - ride safe 😎
Great Update cool new camper n Truck. I think this may be the better way to do what you two are doing. Sorry about Miss Alice But great new bike for Richard. enjoying all your trials and tribulations ! Keep it up..
Sorry to hear about Miss Alice. She was a good old Work Horse. Now you guys can explore some off road adventures without worry. Looks like you have a great setup. Enjoy and ride safe. Pickup a Noco start pack. 79 dollars on Amazon. No sense carrying your big jumper cables everywhere.
Hello Rich and Chris.. happy new year from the UK. I think you made a great decision to get the GSA and as you explained have a bike the same year as Chris means you can share tools and other equipment for the two bikes. I like that kind of reasoning! Next thing I would guess is some trendy Adventure jacket/pant combo Rich to go with the bike…😂😂 We wish you many exciting adventures this year and we look forward to Sunday evenings to see what you guys have been doing. Cannot wait for an episode when Chris cooks in the trailer…
Nice outfit. Should be much more comfortable and allow you to keep travelling for many more years. We are getting -35 C temps here in Manitoba so nice to see some warmth. Suggest a small booster pack instead of cables, more compact and can be used for other things as well.
I got exited when I saw the new GSA for Richard. You're going to love that bike. It's comfortable and it does everything you want it to. I'm really enjoying this new format of Glamping with base camp and then riding around the roads in the area. Please keep sharing with us these amazing adventures!! I can't get enough of it :)
You gotta try highway 9 from Alison to Melbourne, and go the other way on 14 from Sylamore bridge to Blanchard springs. Great riding! I saw that you turned corner at Big Flat on 14 so you might have seen these already. We lived for many years at Twin Creek on 9 halfway from Alison to Melbourne. I ride a R1100RS.
That was so great Chris! We all actually go through things learning about the camper trailer anyone buys! Hell I've been in my new toy hauler for almost a year STILL figuring things out! God bless you BOTH! I really RESPECT and enjoy you both so much! Jealous because I have to still work to pay off all my new Toys!
Just get a small jump pack. You can always help someone else when needed. There great and small. Will also jump a car or truck. Safe adventures. Setup is looking good 👍
Love your new Base Camp! Nice bike Rich! New adventures, new roads. Maybe we will see you at the MOA Rally next June in Springfield, MO. Looking forward to your new season. Stay safe. 👍😊
@@TwoWheelsBigLife FYI I looked up registration for it. Early registration is open till 1/31/22. They offer 2 for $99. Also they have 41 remote RV sites open. No hookups. Fills up fast . We always just tented. But I gotta say there were some rally’s looked at those RV’s and wish we had one. 😊
I just found your channel as I was going through outdoor related videos. This year im finally able to set my dream of traveling into motion. I do think im going to find a toy hauler type trailer with living quarters. I will be alone so it seems to make more sense to me. I have to trade in or sell my old softail and get an adventure bike too. Thanks for the inspiration. It’s definitely something I look forward to,but im also apprehensive. Good luck on your future endeavors! See you out there soon hopefully.
Kinda bitter sweet as I started following as I ride a road glide and love your channel...but all things change. Just keep on riding and most importantly...keep living.
I knew there was a Beemer in Rich’s future. Arkansas is a fantastic place to ride motorcycles. My wife and I always look forward to Sunday night to see your latest adventure.
Excellent video, thanks for sharing. The new Base Camp/ Truck combo looks like it’ll be a winner! (Saving fridge door issues😆😂😆). It'll be interesting to hear Rich's thoughts on Heidi after he has ridden her for a while. Stay safe.
Should have a small jumper in your storage bins. One the size of a smartphone and can jump or charge your battery or even electronics. It's super nice to have and I keep one with my motorcycle or ATV's when I travel. It's saved me a few times because I have found out that few people even have jumper cables anymore!
That’s the perfect travel trailer for your adventures. You guys will surely be more comfortable and it will allow you more freedom to explore. Good luck!
I really enjoy following y’all. Evolution of your setup is right on. I hope you are really happy with it and continue to enjoy your lifestyle. Makes me envious and ready to go on my Spyder with my minimate camper.
Everything is equal except for the refrigerator door and anything else in category C. lol Nice bike! The only thing wrong is it's a BMW... lol I know blah blah blah...... Thanks for posting.. Happy Dayafter New Years Day!!
You guys are making me reconsider my purchase of my goldwing for something like yours when I finally fully retire. Keep the videos coming. Love them all. Take care. Brian
Hi Brian those GS bikes are as heavy as a wing/ I’m retired and beat up when the time comes I can put a trike kit on the wing and keep riding. Just a thought 👍
We really really love the new change. We been with yall a long time and agree it was time to step up a little in comforts and zero was taken away from the two wheels theme. Love it.
I think you guys have the perfect setup. I never understood the hype of adventure bikes till I got my 24 Transalp and I think they’re the best all around and daily bike on the market
Aha. Enjoyig your videos. I have been commenting to my wife that your recent videos had to be from earlier in the year because of the trees and weather. Congratualtions on the new bike. I bought a 21 GSA back in August. The 21 and now 22 GS wouldn't have been really any different. The 21 has some updated electronics and the adaptive headlight but basically the same bike as your 20. You might look into a GS911 . It's a handy tool to read codes and reset maintenance cues etc..
Cool video, love your new mobile base camp, makes life a lot nicer to return to after a long day of motorcycle exploring. Keep up the awesome videos and ride safe my friends.
Great Video guys. I love the new setup and am anxious to meet up at some point along the way. The last time we rode together, I was on a Sandstone colored Goldwing and had an amazing dog with me at Sturgis. (Papuchi is my Peruvian name)
Oh my gawd, I can't believe you two where literally just down the road from us. Just missed ya in Utah and now in my own backyard... Love the new GS. I predicted that when Chris got hers. You guys are awesome, living the dream. Keep it up!
I love watching your videos and I think you really nailed it with your new camp and ride setup. I know you both are experienced riders but as a GS owner myself I just wanted to pass along something I learned the hard way when I first got my GS. I have found that at very slow speeds the last thing you want to do is grab the front brake. If you do (As you found out) the bike will instantly "take a nap". I know this could be said for any bike but I find the beemers with the telelever suspension and powerful front brakes particularly susceptible to this. When I am riding in a slow speed situation for example in a parking lot where someone may pull out without notice I find just using the rear brake keeps the bike upright and greatly reduces the embarrassment factor! Keep those videos coming they help to pass the time during our long Canadian winters.
Everyone does it! Anyone that say that they haven't YET! when you ride the places you guys do it definitely will happen! Glad you guys are safe and okay
Wow 🙌 so happy for you both! What an awesome set up and hey Heidi 👋. We both used to ride Harleys and now ride bmw adventure bikes.....We've both dropped them too ...gotta be done.🤪 Big respect, gratitude and love for 2022. 🥰
You are both so super great and an inspiration to us all! Loved the video, the music and the joy you bring to adventuring. Laughed so much about the eggs cus I've done that myself. On the battery front I'd recommend carry a jump start power pack ~ they are really powerful, light weight and fit under your seat (mine's a GS1200) start a 2 ltr diesel engine no pob's with usb ports for charging your go pro / sena etc. and can run your tyre inflator to boot! Looking forward to your next post
It looks to me that you have made a perfect choice. The comfort of a good basecamp and the joy of motorcycling. Only fun miles on the bikes. Oh and as BMW rider myselve, I love your bikes. And finally Rich has one too.😎👍
I'm flattered you've taken my idea about having a larger trailer to set up as a base camp while using your bikes to explore the outer areas from the base camp. Then when you're ready to move your base camp to a different area... you can just hook up to your trailer and move it to the new area you want to explore. I've been talking for months about how I'm setting up my rigs for operating this way. Good video again. Stay safe and keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down. CW
LoL...after you commented on driving along the edge of the road...you ended on a cliffhanger...that's nice...and then you found what you were looking for... woohoo...I couldn't be happier...lol
Congratulations on the new set up! We carry a portable 12v jump starter from Infinity Light for our motorcycles. Available from Amazon for $70. Great for peace of mind. Love the videos! Brendan & Lena
At First I was like Naaaa.... Then I got to thinking.. This is a great system! enables you to do all the activities and has a great small foot print basecamp with the ability to haul the Bikes!
That’s it you got it thanks for understanding. You nailed it.
Small foot print?
Totally agree.
Great set-up!
they should have bought a 5 th wheel toy box ,easier to load and unload the bikes.
Just another piece of advice on travel trailers, when you go for your rides I would always retract your awning if a good wind comes up it can easily be torn off, speaking from experience if you have the automatic one with a wind speed sensor I still wouldn't trust it... Love y'all rides and videos.
Also if it rains and you do not have a slant on one side..... above ground pool and a bent roller. Ask me how I know!
LOL
100%
Yes for sure. Thanks.
I love your video's , just started watching them!! I don't ride but sure do enjoy your trips and beautiful scenery that you share!!

I don’t ride a motorcycle, but I do camp, and I think your new choices are wonderful, and I enjoy the videos immensely!

Quite an evolution from when we met you at the Gila Hot Springs in 2020. Have a great 2022.
Super cool. I remember you guys. Awesome. We couldn’t live in a tent forever.
@@TwoWheelsBigLife You inspired me: I bought a small BMW GS! I call it the OMF model (old man's folly).

Awesome setup! What I want. Looking forward to the new adventures.
Love your new Base Camp! Nice bike Rich! New adventures, new roads. Maybe we will see you at the MOA Rally next June in Springfield, MO. Looking forward to your new season. Stay safe. 👍😊
Yes that rally is on the list.
Awesome. great to hear
Stay safe.
Yes thank You I will be sharing the gods the bad and ugly of ADV bikes.
Should have a small jumper in your storage bins. One the size of a smartphone and can jump or charge your battery or even electronics. It's super nice to have and I keep one with my motorcycle or ATV's when I travel. It's saved me a few times because I have found out that few people even have jumper cables anymore!
Yes a little jumper will be in the bags from now on.
Happy Day after 🤣😎
You guys are making me reconsider my purchase of my goldwing for something like yours when I finally fully retire.
Great, great and fun video. Thank you so much.
Thanks Betty Jo
Next time you’re in Arkansas, come see us in Eureka Springs. It’s at the top of the Pig Trail. Enjoy! 👍🏻
Great Video guys. I love the new setup and am anxious to meet up at some point along the way. The last time we rode together, I was on a Sandstone colored Goldwing and had an amazing dog with me at Sturgis. (Papuchi is my Peruvian name)
Black widow ramp , love mine ,use it for bike week coming up in March . Happy New Year
Oh my gawd, I can't believe you two where literally just down the road from us.
LOVE THE NEW SETUP AND THE TRUCK IS AWESOME TO HAUL BOTH CYCLES AND A TRAILER!
Top tier set up.. the base camp the bikes everything
Everyone does it! Anyone that say that they haven't YET! when you ride the places you guys do it definitely will happen! Glad you guys are safe and okay
Wow 🙌 so happy for you both! What an awesome set up and hey Heidi 👋. We both used to ride Harleys and now ride bmw adventure bikes.....We've both dropped them too ...gotta be done.🤪
Big respect, gratitude and love for 2022. 🥰
Thanks so much!!
So sorry had a little dump with bikes! Soo glad you got a trailer to be more comfortable!! You 2 are Amazing!! Love following ❤
Awesome Thanks Julie
If you're not dropping it, you're not trying. A clean GS is a dirty shame!
Thats great you were fortunate to locate a nice On/Off rode bike. Congrats.
Thanks
You are both so super great and an inspiration to us all! Loved the video, the music and the joy you bring to adventuring. Laughed so much about the eggs cus I've done that myself. On the battery front I'd recommend carry a jump start power pack ~ they are really powerful, light weight and fit under your seat (mine's a GS1200) start a 2 ltr diesel engine no pob's with usb ports for charging your go pro / sena etc. and can run your tyre inflator to boot!
Looking forward to your next post
Thanks so much!!
It looks to me that you have made a perfect choice. The comfort of a good basecamp and the joy of motorcycling. Only fun miles on the bikes. Oh and as BMW rider myselve, I love your bikes. And finally Rich has one too.😎👍
Well said! Thanks.
I'm so happy for the both of you!
Thanks
I always carry a mini power pack jumper...bailed out a lot of bikes and cars and trucks...great video
That's awesome. Thanks for the tip. i'll be looking for one
CW
Thanks CW
I like your new gear! I'm going to Eureka Springs in June. Consider external star lock washers on your batteries & I like Yuasa's small jumper cables.
I wish you a great and safe new year. I really enjoy your channel. ride safe and enjoy the comforts of the caravan (travel trailer).
Outstanding start to another year of adventures. Really enjoyed this video, drops and all...
Awesome. Thanks Sammy
