- Looking for a little Texas inspiration? There are places where you can literally step back in time - take Dinosaur State Park for example. And while there’s a lot of things to miss about childhood, there’s one fun thing you can still enjoy as an adult - take a motorcycle ride out to Dinosaur State Park.

I think now its 14wheels big life 👍
Na. It's still about the roads and bikes. just a better base camp
I have an issue with your videos. They’re too short! I could watch for way longer. So entertaining. I loved the music in this episode. Kudos to you for the new rig. Very nice setup.
James I really try and do 30 min videos. sometimes there is just not enough video or something happens to the file and its not there. I will try to keep them at 30 min. 🤣👍👍
My stomach was growling when you were eating the bass! Yummmmmm

YES and so inexpensive
Welcome to my beautiful state of Texas. I love my wonderful state. There are a lot of good roads to ride and lots of things to do and see.
We are very proud of our Buc-ee's, Whataburger and Strips and lots of other things.
Yep Whataburger is awesome also .
@@TwoWheelsBigLife best fast food burger I have ever had.
You guys are our inspiration! Fantastic ride and THEN 2 fat steaks on the grill followed by a reward for your kindness...

Great video ,love the VEST .
Me too!1 so many memories
Down the street from me.! Awesome!
👍👍👍
Just something I noticed. When Rich loaded that bike the wheel chock move when the wheel dropped in. That should be solid mounted. Mounted with 4 bolts. I have the same chock. I would hate to see that break loose. Would not be pretty. Be sure and check out the Bent Rim just out of Leaky. Frio canyon Motorcycle Stop. I love that area of Texas. Highway 16 from Medina to Kerrville and Fredericksburg is a beautiful and technical ride. Welcome to Texas. Proudtexson
Plus, the base plate flex will begin cracking where the only two bolts hold it down 😲
Yes it will.and those two bolts are not tight. Listen up Rich. 👎🏻
Yes the back bolt is on the frame a very difficult to get to. I noticed the flex when i did this video. I'll correcting very soon. some power tools will be needed.
@@TwoWheelsBigLife Nice Rich 🥂
Not too worry during travel I'd imagine, since you also cinch down the rear wheels.. cheers 🤜💥🤛
Hello from Sweden! Always great videos!
Cheers
Love the edits with music, the two of you have a great taste of music!
Thanks for the link to the ramp you guys be safe
Our pleasure!
Well that is some gourmet cooking Rich! Love your vids guys!
Im lookin forward to you all ridin the sisters, and the hill country, and sharing, so I can feel like I was there. I always wanted to make it down there.
Rich, you wear your vest man, and dont listen to anyone tellin you that you cant. You earned it. You rode more miles in a couple years on that RoadGlide than most will their whole life.👍
Amen to that Dave. Cheers
I loved Texas when, I was stationed there in Del Rio at Laughlin, AFB back in 1985!! Love watching your video's guy's!!!
Thanks Dave
Truck stop nutrition at its best. 😂
Yes But fresh smoked Brisket and pork
Great video keep up the good work.
Thanks Dave
You may have to deal with the poop tank when it's time to dump it, BUT, you don't have to go outside to use the bathroom. BIG plus! Enjoying your new travel mode, and still lots of good riding content. I think this is more relatable for most folks.
This is Great to hear Captain Jim. Thanks.
There is a Buc-ees in TN or GA that is now the biggest. Texas needs to build another even bigger. Beaver Nuggets ROCK!
you can find some pretty big beavers in Texas. McDonald's isn't helping anything.
@@davidfellows6250 What a Buger beats the arches every time. Buc-ees has some darn fine food along with all the coffee I can get
Those are yummy for sure
Man I have some catching up to do. Love the new setup and Rich now has a BMW. You guys stay safe and keep having fun.
Thanks, you too!
Another good one guys enjoy be safe
Thanks
You guys seem a lot happier now with “base camp” then you ever did with “ruby”. Enjoy the road and ride safe.
Thanks Danny
Saying Buc-ee's is just a gas station is like saying the Taj Mahal is just a house. :)
Thats a good one !! 🤣
Another interesting video and man, did that fish dinner look tasty!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it. The fish came out great
Loving your new travel style. You’re channel is awesome.
Thank You Very Much Linda
Great editing and narrative which keeps us smiling watching your adventures. Working from home during covid, you guys have made this time better.
This is awesome to hear Todd Glad we help
You should pick up at least one fishing pole! Nothing like fresh caught fish!
I do have one and they were all out from the shore Didn't catch a one
@@TwoWheelsBigLife Sorry to hear that. Better luck next time.
I bet Richard likes the BMW better than the Harley now!! 😉
So different types of rides. But the HD is better for the long roads but the GS opens up much more places to camp.
Is it just me or are things a bit more relaxed traveling this new way. :)
Not you.
we are much more comfortable
Cheers Fabio
Cheers E G
@@TwoWheelsBigLife Happy anyway of your new experience. I rode my 1985 Moto Guzzi in Italy for 350 km last week in 35-40F weather for 5 hrs. A refreshing experience!
Cool to see you cruising around my neck of the woods!
Awesome job with on/off bikes👍🏽 enjoy it
You were right up the road from me
👍👍
I think the dinosaurs were running from the astroid variant.
of the Thoracic kind
I'm glad you had time with the kids. Otto Matic is right, it does look more relaxing in the new setup. Thanks R/C!!!
Thanks Greg !!
You two diffidently look more rested with this set up of camping..
Thanks
Love your take on adventure and life, doooo not stop what your doing! Your progressing and its awesome to watch.
Wow Thanks Bryan !! We are trying our best. I hope you and everyone else gets some good info from Us. Cheers.
Rich, go back and watch the video at the 16:10 mark. Look what the wheel chock does when you lock the wheel in place. You might want to add some support to keep the chock from flexing?..... The new rig is excellent !
yep... it will give out sooner than expected. Metal Fatigue.
While in that general area, you should head west to Roswell NM. That would be very interesting.
Really enjoying your conversion. You were wearing me out packing and unpacking and making miles LOL with Ruby. Base Camp provides you the "needs" and "comforts" you deserve and you still "RIDE". One of the techniques I used when I unloaded my motorcycle down a ramp was start the motor, put it in 1st gear, back up using both feet on the flatbed and as you roll down the ramp. Find the friction point on your clutch, roll back, both feet on the ramp, engage the clutch as a brake. As you know, once the rear tire is on the ground and the front tire is on the ramp, your legs are not long enough. So as soon as your rear tire touches the ground, stop, secure your balance and then push backwards and roll until both tires are on the ground. Then you can use the clutch to stop. This allows you keep both feet firmly on the platform to secure your balance. You're doing a good job of finding an unload point that has your rear pu tires lower than your front tires thus less slope to your ramp. Rich and Chris, just keep on keeping on. Love 'n it. Darrell
Yes we did do this a few times But these GS's have a Hill Assist and that engages and disengages it and re engaging it is a bit of a pain. or i haven't learned a quick way yet.
Great blog, I will be in Fredericksburg in April attending The AMCA Fandango vintage bike meet. I will be riding my 1946 Indian during the event!
Very cool!
Really appreciate the effort you put into your vids. They just keep getting better and better.
I appreciate that!
Looks like you've found the best way to camp and still almost be at the Hampton Inn. The cooking really is tops as well as the heating and cooling features of your camper. The beemers can now enjoy looking at the scenery as it passes by. Lol 🏍🏍👍👍🙋♂️
That is a very large gas station. I guess everything is big in Texas.
Yes its Gigantic
Nice camp spot 🤓😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦
Yeah our December in Washington State was pretty mild. Looks like a beautiful day to ride
Oh that was a good one says a native Texan!
Looking good nice vidio
Thank you! Cheers!
Stay warm folks! Thanks for the motovlogs, I think I've watch almost all of them.
Awesome! Thank you! Tell 100,000 of your friends. 🤣🤣
Thanks you 2, liking that campground!
Another one for the note book..
✌🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Safe travels
Our pleasure! And it's free. Just water no electric
As previously pointed out. Your front wheel chock needs to be secured...maybe both. When you loaded the chock actually moved. Want you and bikes safe.
Really loose. It needs attention soon. Proudtexson
Right. I noted that too. I wonder how many bolts are used to attach the chock
It is secure. I noticed it when I did the edit of this video. i'll need some power tools for this. It's right on the flat bed frame Really hard to get to.
I like your personnality, your kindness, your attitude to life and your adventures. Thank you (from France, GS 1250 HP)
You’re welcome. Cheers kind sir
Fun videos! thanks for doing this. I enjoy your journeys
Thanks for watching!
I just spent the last week and half visiting my son in Houston, my daughter in Austin and a good friend in Plano. Drove down from NY. In NC now making my way back to NY.
Need a "two wheels Big Life" spare tire cover!!
Brilliant. Where can we get one. YES. Now I’m on a hunt
STEELE CREEK, TX.The Steele Creek community was on Steele Creek three miles northwest of Thornton in southwestern Limestone County. The creek was probably named for local settler and San Jacinto veteran Alfonso Steele. The community was also known as Tidwell for David J. Tidwell, an early pastor who held annual camp meetings at the Methodist church. The Steele Creek post office opened in 1856 with Tidwell as postmaster. In the 1850s the community had two stores, a church, and a cemetery. The post office closed in 1866, reopened for a few months in 1868, but was finally discontinued; mail for Steele Creek residents was sent to Springfield. Residents probably moved to Thornton after the Houston and Texas Central Railway was constructed in the 1870s. A few scattered houses appeared on county maps of the Steele Creek area in the 1940s, but the site was not named.
I would recommend that you watch MotoJitsu’s video on how he secures his ramps to his truck bed to insure that they don’t move, spread or fall off the truck bed while loading his bikes. He uses ratchet straps to secure the ramps to each other and to the truck. Just a suggestion
Oh yeah we strapped those ramps every time.
Being from Boston, it shocks me how many times i've gone thru tx. Extremely nice on a bike.
Ahhh yes, Buc-eees. A great stop if one doesn't mind about 50,000 calories mid day. I recommend their brisket sandwich. First saw one east of Dallas, most recently stopped at one about an hour north of Atlanta. As others have noted, both of you seem more relaxed in your new "digs" and traveling mode. Be careful on those ramps. Two types of motorcyclists who've loaded bikes on ramps... those who have dumped them and those.... well, you know.
Thanks for watching and We will be careful. Thanks again
Love your new set up! Definitely what you needed and was way overdue. Congratulations! I have never been to a Buc-ees either. We have one in Daytona so next time we go I want to check it out. So happy that you got to check in with your children. Ride safe! 😊
From Indiana was just in the Fredricksburg hill country January 2022. Also did Big Ben NP. Love Texas.
I love the new setup. I remember when you two were purchasing both the truck and camper but Rich I missed the GS 1250 purchase. Great motorcycle especially for the off and road riding you two were doing before. I got a chance to ride a GS 1250 a few years back in Arizona near the Mexican border on a Veterans retreat. Great bikes.
Anyways the wife and I have 5 more months till our trip from Santa Ynez, Ca to Ottawa, Canada. I want to thank you two for letting me pick your brain on what works and what doesn’t as far as pulling a cargo trailer with motorcycle via emails I’ve been sending you. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Your RUclips Vlog is the best by far. A little short this time but I still loved it all. Oh that stripe bass looked amazing. Ok I could go on for days.

Garner State Park was my families park of choice back in the 70s. As an adult, our park of choice was Inks Lake State Park. I live in AZ but miss TX a lot.
Looks like life is a little easier for you than before and you two deserve it. Glad you finally checked out buc-ees. I am amazed seeing as how you lived in Texas all those years and never been to one.
I (Rich) have been but Chris did not.
What you don't know about Buc-ees is that the super sized stores that have 100 dispensers are contracted as military fueling centers and are widely spaced between the dispensers to get military trucks through them. Many large C-stores are going to 30 foot spacing column to column and larger. I challenge you to find a pint of ice cream at Buc-ees.
God Bless Texas. It’s good to have y’all back in Texas. Ride safe and have fun.
I noticed to you holding a Butler Motorcycle Map. I have several, on and off road versions.
Yes we are
If you are still in Texas look up a Mikeska's BBQ best ever. I rate this video at 100%+++++++
Taking notes we'll be back
Deer beside the camp: "Look ma, It's Rich and Chris setting up base camp right beside us." Chris looks so much happier with the camper.
Glad to see you getting used to moving around the camper and not banging your head, Rich.
And did ya talk anyone out of more fish before you left that campsite?
Thanks Willa.
I was down at 3 sisters in October and was surprised at how nice it was great roads I want to go back and spend more time
Yes hardly no one on.
Great video!! Love the sunset!!
Awesome thanks
Love the truck and the camper. Loading and unloading the bikes looks a little sketchy, but I’m sure it’s not as bad as it looks.
It really isn't that bad. but i always stop and asses before i go up
Great video you have to show us how you get some of those shots with the camera panning. On a liter side you went right buy my house and didn't stop to say hi. can't wait to get back on the road.
The moving shots are all in the edit and with a 360 camera Thanks. We are planning a Live to answer these questions. Stay tuned
I like watching your videos, they are very informative. Here in Minn. it is too cold and snowy. to ride. Have to wait until April.
Hope we help you through it.
@@TwoWheelsBigLife Yes ,thank you.
Nice guys and thanks... Hope you're going to check out the numerous Wineries. . . ENJOY
yall go,my wife rides her own so we do trips together I'm taking notes.
Its good to have a wife that rides.
PS if you stop by Corsicana make sure you go to the Lefty Frizzell Museum

Back in the 1970’s we visited the Dinosaur State Park to find some tracks that appear to be human in the same strata of rock that contain dinosaur tracks. After some coaxing the ranger told us where to look. We found some right next to dinosaur track. The human looking tracks matched my foot left and right and looked like prints that would have been made in hard packed wet sand. Interesting to me.
Glad it taste great. Those stripers will do a number on the other species of fish. You guys are fun to follow!
I've heard that. I wonder why they introduced them. 🤔🤔
So true. It is said that if bass were the size of sharks, there would be nothing left in the water!
Try Walley's in Pontiac, Il sometime. Huge place too. Route 66. We have a few museums to check out too.
Thanks taking notes
Your ramp is like a mini version of the PSP (perforated steel planking) we used to make taxiways and ramps to park planes in Southeast Asia. The jagged side went on the bottom, and that stuff was slicker than snot on a doorknob when it got wet.
The jaggad side is up and they are grippy. in fact sharpe to the touch. No Slip
Welcome to Texas I hope you like the weather it changes quick when you come back up this way stop by the local coyote or Corsicana . it's where I live there's one or two things to see around here
taking Notes
Definitely agreed with the other comments on here. You guys are definitely more at home with your camping rig setup. It’s definitely easier to set up a camper than a tent or even your tent trailer. Dealing with grey water and black water is the most difficult part to it but, once parked setup can be done in 5-10 minutes. Looking at your setup, I would have done some things differently but, it’s similar in many ways.
Thanks. We are planning a Live to answer why we did it this way. There is some things i would change but over all very happy.
Like the added music to the video, Camp ground you stayed in Lewisville is about 4-miles north of my area beautiful camp ground also..
Very cool!
I am under the impression that life on wheels got more confy and less adventurous. Nothing bad about that, mind you.
Snowing here in TN!!
Snow - No Fun.
wow great video. You guys win the lotto? 😀 Last vid I saw you were towing a cooler and calling it done. Congrats on the new rig and bikes 👍
