Great info, will be trying Rujo Arturo soon. Went to the Dallas warehouse and bought the Black Zeke pythons. Waiting on Gavin and Trace in Carmel. From a year ago it looks like Rujo has gone up a $100 in price on the Trace. Pretty steep IMO. Also many report shaft fit to put on is very tight. I had issues trying some on at the warehouse.

I'd take the RUJO trace over the Lucchese comparative which really doesn't come close. This review was well done! Now all I have to do, is wait for RUJO to make my size of 15D. BE BRAVE!
Great comparison, I have a pair of Lucchese full quill ostrich that have always been tight but 2 pair of mad dog goat that are the most comfortable boots I own. Going to try Rujo’s next thanks to this another review you have on them, appreciate the great content you put out

Consider boot stretch spray to loosen up tight boots, Just done this with my Cayman belly Tecovas boots. This made great difference in a few hours. You can get boot stretch spray just about anywhere - its just an industrial alcohol and water mix.
The Rujo is a better quality boot regarding price yet they are not without some quality control issues. I have purchased 4 pair, all exotics yet sent all 4 back for various flaws. I will have to try Rujo again due to their exceptional customer service & their overall commitment to make things right for the customer.
Oh man I’m sorry you had some issues with your RuJo but they are a great company and are always trying to improve so give them a try again because both of mine are amazing so they have probably addressed the issues. Thank you for your support.
My caimans cracked after using them twice, and the first thing I do when I get them is add conditioner because we don’t know how long they’ve been sitting for, I reached out to tubo via email and Instagram DM and no response, I’m going to give them a call.
@@southtexasking5821 I condition my boots as soon as I get them, you should really condition them, so they don’t start cracking me. I emailed them and called them and never got a response, I even dmed them and no response. I have caimans from other brands and have never had that problem either, Hopefully you don’t run into this problem and I was just unlucky
I just bought my first pair of rujos today online. 10.5D the Arturo’s in midnight. I’m excited, since it’s my first pair. Slowly but surely I’ve been breaking away from Lucchese & Rios of Mercedes after almost 2 decades. Still own a few pairs, but lately I’ve just been wearing tecovas. The Arturo’s should be arriving in a few business days, which I look forward to their arrival. I’ve read enough reviews to feel Confident enough that the should fit me, though I have not tried this brand before. As they are specified as “true to size” when compared to other boot brands I have in a 10.5D. on fellow reviews
Yes sir they are truly amazing and they definitely are very true to size and are very comfortable so they are definitely delivering a great product for the money. Rios of Mercedes still makes an amazing pair of boots at a decent price and Lucchese still makes some great boots but the prices are very much off from what they should be. I would say if you really want to own a pair of Lucchese But you don’t want to pay $1900 instead of going with cayman belly at $900 go with a nice USA made mad dog goat Lucchese for $500 it will be a much better fit at a lower price. I hope it helps thanks for your support.
I wear a 12 EE with Lucchese boots I have to go up to a 14 EE I want to order a pair from Rujo on a special deal and they will not accept returns. I’m on the fence right now.
Lucchese do run smaller and narrower. I have to wear EE in Luchese. But I do agree, from the looks of it Rujo look like a much better value. Will probably be ordering a pair of Rujo Trace myself.

Good point I have never thought about that it is a bit doubtful though because as I say my American made Lucchese fit great but the Mexican made Charles in this video are tighter and I’ve heard that is the case with all the Mexican made Lucchese so I have no problem with the American made Lucchese. Are any of your Lucchese’s mexican made because if not that might be the reason why your’s fit perfectly because the last in the Mexican Lucchese factory is narrower. Yes I agree. If you are on the wider end of the D width these Lucchese will not fit as good but trust me when you have that RuJo on with the cutter toe it look much better.

Yes horsepower are really Awsome as they are part of the Rios brand of family but if you like the fit on horsepower you will love the fit of the rujo

This can vary even in the same model. I have several as well and because they're fully hand made...not always going to be perfect.
Rujos are really coming up in the boot world...just orderd the saddle colored Martha's for her... very very nice women's boot 👍🤠👍

How does caiman wear? Does the fit need to be perfect? I wouldn't think caiman stretches that much or at all
As long as you have a good fitting boot like these Rujo they will feel great and break in no time.

I have a couple pair of Lucchese’s and they have been the best fitting boots I’ve had. It’s possible your Luc’s are B’s and were just misstamped.

Its sad how lucchese is going downhill. They be just like Tony Lama, a once great boot.
