The reason we have a lower acceptance rate both for undergrad and med campus compared to other places is because of the Baltimore area. The city is very depressing. Though for medical opportunities, it is fantastic. Don't make the same mistake I made. Apply broadly. I wish I had applied and gone to MIT.

GlamGoddes101 What major are you interested in and what are your other options? How much financial. aid do they give you? I had a full scholarship and grant aid. The school is great for medicine and public health. there are tons of activities going on. The city isn't the best though.
I thought u were quite lucky to be there , although u don't seem happy to be there now

Ive lived in Baltimore all my life and i dont find it depressing
yes that is the way we are portrayed in the media but parts of Baltimore can actually be very beautiful
Hopkins Class of 2022 here, I really encourage anyone who is interested in Hopkins to visit (whether through virtual tour or coming to Baltimore) and to apply if you're interested. Yes, it's expensive, but they really do reach your financial need, which was super surprising to me! Though be weary, it's very competitive. This year's acceptance rate was under 10%, so make sure to be yourself on your apps! Good luck to rising seniors :)

I completely agree with your comments about it being very expensive but surprisingly within reach for many students because of their great financial assistance programs. Thanks again for sharing your great news.

Great idea about demonstrating your creativity and technical ability with your websites. Having good grades and a strong portfolio will give you the best chances of getting in. When you start high school make a BIG effort to get to know your counselor and college/career center staff they will be able to guide you very effectively. Good Luck!!!
