- Hello guys! So I thought it might be good to make a video of me walking around the campus, because I am assuming that traveling won't be a thing for a while due to the pandemic. I just wanted to make this video to provide a sense of what it is like to be on campus to those who weren't able to visit JHU or to those who would like to apply to JHU but cannot go to a prospective students' day.
I tried to not talk during the walk, and I didn't edit and speed through any part of the video, to keep the video experience to resemble the experience of actually walking on campus. I tried to keep the explanation/stories short, but they're in the subtitle (not the RUclips subtitle but like in the video itself). However, if people want some kind of narrated tour, I can try to prepare that as well! Let me know in the comments. :)
Also, in general, if anyone has any videos that they'd like to see on this channel, just let me know in the comments. I have a small channel so I can listen to requests.

Thanks so much for posting this video! You did a great job of creating the atmosphere of a casual walk around the campus. I just watched it with my daughter who we found out today has been accepted for fall 2021.

How safe is the surrounding areas outside the campus in day time ?
They're usually safe unless you walk out of the JHU patrolled area. So it is best if you don't do a self-guided tour of the city at 2 in the morning.
From a person who lived around that area my whole life its pretty safe to say the least

Great video! I visited JHU this summer and it quickly became my #1. Since there were not a lot of students there at that time I’ve really wondered; are you allowed to bike on-campus to get from place to place more quickly, specifically on the paths you were walking on during the video? (edited for clarity)
Yes you are allowed to, but between class times (for instance between 10:50 and 11:00) there’ll be a lot of people walking on the paths so you might not be able to like speed through as you’d like
This is Homewood campus of JHU. It’s beautiful but looks crowded than 45 years ago when I attended the school, but still beautiful and serene.

I loved this video! I’ve been admitted for the fall but never got to visit campus bc of covid, I think this is the only video I’ve seen that genuinely shows how the campus looks to students. Super helpful! (Although now I wish I watched it before selecting housing preferences lol)

Ugly campus. No character. Looks like just another campus... no distinct feature, no iconic structure, despite its old age.
i just walked around the other day (class of 2025) and i think it’s a beautiful campus, there’s no need to hate on such a well renowned institution...
@@mlinds111 I didn't say I hate it. I just said the campus looks meh, ordinary, ugly... And, you're right it's a well-renowned institution. It doesn't remove the fact that I find its campus ugly and very ordinary, however, do you understand?
