    Oh man. Had a harness bar sitting in my garage for a year thinking I would have to drill holes in my sedan to mount the bottom. Never thought about removing the seat belt assembly entirely 😂

    Are those electrical seats? Because holy crap are those electric seats heavy, threw them out of my 320 coupe and replaced them with Recaros - nearly died pulling one out myself but the Recaros you can carry both in either hand at the same time.

      @@M3NACE Seats will help you so much more then just harnesses bro. As involved as you guys are they are arguably the best mod you can add.

    Guys, in case of an accident what if the bolts were sheared and then that frame might even injure? Cool idea but safety concerning ... mega thx for your channel!!!!

      hey man! so the harness bar and the harnesses are attached in the exact same location as the factory belts, using the exact same hardware. if a mount or hardware failure would to occur it would happen in the same manor as if the factory belts were in place.

      You’ll love not having to brace yourselves and just focusing on drifting!!! Nice mod

      Imho harness bars are for show. They mount to the same points as the factory belts, but if an accident was to occur getting hit from the side, that harness bar can bend and you'll lose belt tension.
      I know for the coupe, the best solution for the e36 is to get M10 eye bolts and bolt them under the rear seats where there's already threaded holes. There are two in the middle of the seats and two on the outer side of the seats where the door panels go. Not sure if it's the same with sedans

    • @M3NACE
      @M3NACE  3 года назад +4

      @@mauriceip2233 it is the same with sedans, yes. truth of this car is it's a drift car, not a street car, and aside from driving it to local events, it never see's street use. only one track local to us is close enough to drive to, we trailer it to most events so it is only street driven maybe once or twice every 2 or 3 months, and this car maybe see's maximum of 40 MPH on track, because most of our tracks are go-kart tracks and are low speed in nature, the harnesses are there more to keep us from sliding around the seat during drifting. when we are good enough to start heavily tandeming, roll cages are a must, and bigger events require them if you are doing heavy tandem, so this car will eventually get one.

      Quin have a question about diagnostic my M3 just threw check engine light after sitting few weeks - started rough light not firing completely so I shut it off and restarted and it ran fine. Guess I’ll pull any code
