I love how he teaches children. He doesn’t tear them down it’s always calm and positive vibes just continuous positive reinforcement and building them up. It’s so damn great
I mean all of those Hells kitchen people were supposedly chefs in their own right and i imagine after 20-30 dishes over the night that get screwed up by trained professionals it would get frustrating when you mix that with the amount of food they are throwing down the drain.
You need to watch uk kitchen nightmares. American shows are more dramatic for the viewers

The way risotto is made in a restaurant setting is different from how it's done at home. Homemade takes 25+ mins from start to finish. That's way too long for something that's usually an appetizer or side dish. By the time it's at the point you see it on shows like HK, it's like 95% done already. Started waaaay in advance.

When I was in sales/recruitment I was taught “different hats for different people”. It means you should always take different approaches. Sometimes being a boss, sometimes being a friend, sometimes being impartial. Gordon is the perfect example of this. How calm and patient he is with kids is amazing,

Risotto is one of my favorite dishes I’ve learned to make. My wife absolutely loves my Lobster Risotto.
My gf doesn't like rice except if it is risotto! she loves when I do it. Try with raw, grated carrot and pumpkin; like this one but orange.
The thing that I love about you Gordon, is how you inspire people to be the best they can be.

This isn't really an "Ultimate Guide To Risotto" so much as a "Quick Montage of What Making One Kind of Risotto Looks Like", but still fun to watch
I went through a phase of making risotti with a wide variety of different ingredients. The hands down favorite for all of my culinary victims (aka family) was one made with pureed roasted carrots and enough ginger to balance the carrot's sweetness. Has been a frequent request since.
Honestly seeing him on kitchen nightmares and then here just feels so nice. He actually enjoys himself, despite the popular belief of people who dont know him. It feels refreshing
Out of every series he had, the ones with his family are the best. Thumbs up to that.

#GordonRamsay, I love you cooking with your daughter, that's how i was drought up cooking with my great grandma, grandma, and mama so when i had a daughter i did the same thing with her, one year for Christmas all she wanted was pots and pans, bread machine, baking pans, etc so thats what she got and i have never seen her so happy. She is 27yrs now and loves to cook. Great way to spend time with the kids.

You can also make it with jasmine rice if you're feeling like gut-punching tradition. It ends up very smooth and floral, and it's a nice change of pace if you make risotto a lot.
