I have numerous radio programs of Jack Benny and am very familiar with Phil Harris. He used to call Jack Benny "Jackson" and he was written as guy who never walked into a bar he didn't like. One of Jack's recurring sketches included finding out where Do Wah Diddy happened to be. Phil mentioned the phrase in the song "That's What I Like About the South" and Jack was always wondering if Do Wah Diddy is said to be 'in no town or in no city' then WHERE in the world was it located?? Phil did several voices for Walt Disney animated movies...including Baloo on "The Jungle Book". I'm a huge fan of Ray Stevens...and among the many albums of his in my personal collection is the 2012 'Encyclopedia of Recorded Comedy Music' which includes "The Preacher and the Bear" among the songs. It's also on a single disc release called "Gospel Collection' from 2014.
Thanks for sharing 👍🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
