Actually I didn’t like it. It sounds silly, cheap and obnoxious. But each to his own, I guess. A Wartburg is a Soviet era three cylinder two stroke car, and making a Mercedes sound like it is not a compliment. Seems other commenters find it sounds good, so it has to be a matter of taste.
Great job! Thanks OJ for the explanation of the game plan in the beginning. It's cool to see the stock set up, and understand the prosses of how you guys go though each system to achieve the what the customer is looking for or in this case listing for.
Wish you guys were closer to me I would bring me e550 into you guys. Every shop out here just basically slaps in whatever you tell them and acts like it doesn't matter what you do. I like how you threw the x pipe in to remove that dual 4 cyclinder sound, I personally can't stand that. Any recommendation on a m273 5.5l v8 engine? I have an x pipe but it is where the mid resonator used to be should I move it closer to the engine?
I was thinking of running a very similar system but to use a vibrant 18" instead of a 12" like you guys had used for the resonators would that be overkill? I didn't want it too loud.
I would say it kind of depends if you are catless or not, those bottle resonators don't work as aggressively as the ultra quiets so we used a combination of both. These engines can sound kind of truck-like if you arent careful.
@@FluidMotorUnion I totally agree my m273 sounds very truckish if it’s fully straight piped without an x. I have a similar setup to you guys but with carven tr as end mufflers (I think they may be even more quiet than ultra quiets). I still have cats and was going to put my x pipe right where the secondary cats used to be and the. Run dual 18” vibrant bottle resonators. I don’t think I can fit ultra quiets at the mid section so I thought 18” would be the next best thing. Also was wondering what effect going to 3" tubing had on the sound? Does it make it deeper and louder?
When are people going to realize that popping doesn't make your exhaust sound cool... Especially when it's not a quick let off the throttle but literally popcorning down the entire road.
It's not the exhaust, it's the tuning. Off-throttle raw fuel combusting in the exhaust system is a function of the engine control unit, no the exhaust system.
Every one of my cars has had a FMU exhaust. Can't wait to get my W222 S63 to have a bit more bite
Sounds great, but pops too much in overrun IMO
Yeah I hate that factory programming... Same soundtrack over and over again
Well be tuning this car over the next couple days and will be adjusting the overrun as part of that!
100% agree with you! TheSoap1916
Very funny. You made a Mercedes sound like a Wartburg. It's hilarious!
Glad you liked it!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Our goal is to tailor each exhaust to be exactly what the customer is hoping for!
i wanna do this on my 2015 s63 as well...but i need cats cause im in Cali...and i wanna retain the stock exhaust valves...possible?
Definitely! Reusing the stock valves could be tricky, since they're built into the rear muffler section. But I am sure its possible to remove them.
how much for a 2017 c43 amg wo the amg exhaust package..I want something to install with remote to turn on or off...any suggestions...thank you
You gave her new life ❤ loved the exhaust you made❤
Lolol Billy the fabricator is a savage😂
Great improvement!
Sounds amazing great work guys
Thanks for watching!

Just tell the customer to tune the ECU so all that obnoxious eternal backfire is reduced or eliminated.
omf.. god
Please, stop doing popcorns... not cool
honestly shit was better original.... I cant imagine drive 1000km with this popcorn shorts every 3second.
It needs glasspacks
Sounds stupid

Sounds like someone running in flip flops
