Like the video, even if we lost like that.
For me personally, most of the defeat can be attributed to the fatigued Mitoglou. Last ~10 points can be attributed to his actions, he gave a 3FT foul, failed to keep up, lost 2/2 open 3PT, stayed for 3" and got called, also lost the player leading to a couple easy lay-ups. All that in the last 5 minutes.
Secondary reasons can be the lack of Kostas (Antetokoumbo) use, Nan's hasty, NBA like attempts (last 4 attacks in the game), the denial to go for the all-successful inside the paint plays to a Baskonia full with fouls. Honestly when you go to a face-off, things like these happen, this was a good lesson for us to learn.

I think in baskonia's come back, needed more defensive players in the court.Mathias was frightened a foul and Dinos was a "mess" yesterday.Kostas Ante needed in the last quarter to give some energy stops in the paint.Obviously in such a close game, coach has the main responsibility at the final plays.Sloukas could control the crunch time better but now the game belongs to the past.We can proceed.

    Great analysis guys, once again.
Still, Pana could have won the game -easily-if there was one only (1) big man to do the basics for a longer period in both offense and defense. In particular I believe Kostas Ante could have done this job.
As the game was closing, Sloukas injury in the end was crucial, Mitoglou’s (and Huancho’s) underperformance from the beginning in both ends of the court, total lack of 4’s plus the lessort -5’s- problematic performance, kept Moneke hot and Baskonia get the W.

Ataman needs to use bench players more. He's kinda obsessed with some players even though they're purely negative in the game. It's not the first match we lose because of this inability to trust more players. Also, you can't expect everything from Nunn and he also should control him more for crunch time plays.

Why does Olek have less and less time? Since he had several games with about 18min in November, and his time suddenly dropped……(because of the return of Juancho?

@@PinkHammerFish He's a liability on defense and he doesn't offer much in offense. He needs time to adjust to the Euroleague level.

As always, very interesting and informative video. However, according to statistics, nobody expects Moneke to take and succeed in three successive long range shots. The main problem in Panathinaikos' defense is that Basconia suceeded in every (!) 2-p attemt it made during the 2nd half.

Same idea, Mitoglou [always (not only in this game)] has poor defense and the last shot and many shots are surely designed based on this...I just wonder how Ataman took this point into account, or just as he said, things would be different in Final 4(if we can make it)

Lesoort's defense the key problem once more...for 16 straight minutes he played awful defense and ataman choose not to put Antetokoumpo in the game at all even in a game that he played well in both offense and defense. This game is 100% ataman's fault,he may be one of the best coache's in the world but in this game, my opinion is, that he was awful.

Panathinaikos lost for 3 reasons: 1. Moneke was unstoppable because he met a soft defence from Mitoglou..Ernagometh is a better defender for crying out loud..2. Antenokoumbo must play more minutes on court..He brings energy protection on the rim..3. In the last offense by Baskonia make a faoulllll..to have the last word...

Mitoglou shocking bad performance. Especially in defence.
