- There were lots of wright ups on forums, but no video. I decided to make one. I am sorry for my dubbing over, and my stumbling over words. I was trying to remember what was originally said that you could not hear.
Wrap a piece of electrical tape around the little bulbs and leave yourself some extra hanging off the bulb and pull. Works like a charm!
@Preston Holloway I know you have already sold your Camaro and aren't dealing with this any longer, however, I appreciate your video and learned info from it. I noticed that most everyone has been asking "what" type of bulbs are used. This information is according to the factory GM service manual for 2000 F-bodies (Camaro/Firebird). These are all of the bulb listings for the "interior" of the car, per the manual.
Ashtray Lamp - Bulb 194
Automatic Transmission Indicator Lamp - Bulb 73
Dome Lamp - 906
Front Side Door Courtesy Lamp - Bulb 74
Heater and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Control Lamp - Bulb 37

I hope this helps everyone out. The manual did not mention HOW many bulbs of each type are needed. You would have to find that out or someone else would have to post this. I haven't done the mod as of yet (but going to) on my 00 Camaro. When I do, I'll try and update this post with the actual number of bulbs needed for each item listed above (but I don't have a convertible, so I can't comment on that or the Pontiac one). Also, I didn't see anything listed regarding which lamp was the one used for the "light switch" on the left side of the dash. I'll try and update that as well when I pull it all out to replace them. :)

For anyone still watching, I believe most of the bulbs he shattered trying to remove just needed to be twisted before pulling. I'm not sure which way though.
Nope, they pull strait out. They're tiny.

****UPDATE*** I keep saying superbrightleds.com because the bulbs I bought off of Ebay burt out within 6 months!!!!! Go Get quality LEDs from super bright!!!!! or, you will be doing this again just like I did

You can make your own for a twentieth of the cost.
Preston Holloway do you know the bulb number for the bulbs in the door panel. The ones behind the handle. I ordered the courtesy bulbs on super bright which are #74 but those are to big.
Preston Holloway please tell me how do you change door Handel bezel light bulb nobody has done a video on that and I’ve been trying everything to remove the bulb without damaging it.
The Tech Critic if u break them take a little flat head screwdriver and a pick and keep chipping at it till u get it out takes about five mins , out of the (5) 74 bulbS I changed only one came out intact they are a pain

I took a small sheet of 80 grit sandpaper and pulled on the lights that wouldn't come out usong sandpaper and my hands instead of any tool, and every one of them came right out. Hope it helps

Your set up looks awesome. I have a 1995 z28 I can't find he correct led for the door handle the small led lights can you give the correct part number I'm looking eBay for red led. Is it the same part number for the heater and AC lights center counsel

what brand and where did you get the leds i bought some off amazon and they only light up part of my rpm and mile gauge and cant see my fuel gauge at all any sugestions
Man your lights came out great in your camaro. I'm having trouble getting mine as bright and even as yours in my firebird and they are almost the same car.
I swapped out all my over lays for the camaro ones. If you wouldn't mind giving a few hints on how ours are different I have a video of mine on my channel but my camera isn't as good as yours. Great job and solid video btw.
I'm not sure exactly why mine were brighter. The ones that I put in off of eBay burnt out within six months. Get good quality LEDs. Superbrightleds.com has some good quality ones and they are brighter than these eBay specials. Little pricy though.

I have a 2000 Trans Am. My stock gauge cluster is red. Was the Camaro stock color white? Also, are the colors for the HVAC and light switch gauge white as well?

What size or type are the leds behind your guage cluster? I've ordered so many that didn't fit, the t5 ones definitely are too small for the guage cluster so anybody looking to do that don't waste your money on the t5 leds for your guages!

194 bulbs
I used the t10 sockets They are a tight fit and you can only twist them about an 1/8 of an inch and used 194 bulbs. The bulbs also are a tight fit but it worked for me.hope this helps..
