- A rather strange entry in the Aesop's Fables series, featuring a whole lot of cats and an unfortunate stereotype to boot! The print didn't scan terribly well, but we'll be rescanning. It's a little harder to see this particular one. The scan is a bit of a bumpy ride-- it had trouble tracking the sprockets. We'll rescan sometime soon.
Two thumbs up. Best version available on RUclips as of now.🥰👍👍
I admit, I didn’t grow up watching these cartoons. I’m happy to have discovered them, whether in my youth well into adulthood.
2:31 - 2:54 It looks a lot like a scene from "The Fable of the Alley Cat" (1923), a fable from the same series made at Fables Pictures, Inc. with Farmer Al Falfa.
As the same animators worked on the two cartoons seven years apart, it's fair to say that "Midnight" is a sort of remake of "Alley Cat".
Shrunken film?
This is exactly the kind of thing The King of Cartoons would play on Pee Wee's Playhouse
1930 twerking! :)

Still better than sssniperwolf.
Is that supposed to be Farmer Alfalfa? He looks very weird 😂
He has been redesigned to avoid confusion with the character of the same name who appeared in Terrytoons at the same time.
@@killuagernia3741Redesigned? I swore it was another character.
