And I have so many palettes that are truly exceptional, that I need to use them more. And it helps when I remember my first encounter with them, and truly embrace why I bought it in the first place!
Absolutely! I know this type of content has helped me to re-examine my spending habits. With things like groceries eating most of our family budget, I have to be so much more thoughtful with my purchases. I have a beautiful eyeshadow palette collection and amazing single shadows as well. I just purchased the Hourglass face palette with the customized Owl packaging and unless something else comes along that really blows me away, that might be it for me for year because in all honesty, I don’t need any more makeup. Alicia is truly a blessing in that her authentic excitement, love and knowledge of eyeshadow formulas and techniques translates through her videos, and I find myself less and less at the mercy of FOMO!

Huetopian dream looks like a my little pony palette. A couture my little palette. But with the way I wear it, it looks like an autumn palette on me 😂. I got it for the blue purple shade mostly, but was kinda sad with how that color looked on me. I saw it on black models and that made me want it. … forgetting that I’m very much not black myself. 😂but now it’s my everyday palette for the other shades. But I can’t wait to use this on one of my dark skin friends.
Astral Venusian Orchid is one of the most gorgeous shades in my entire eyeshadow collection, bar none. I panned it so fast and now I’m conflicted because I adore that shade so much but the rest of the palette doesn’t speak to me as much as it should to warrant repurchasing😭😩 Anyway, I love this series. I can never ever get enough of your Mothership content; even the ones that don’t speak to me specifically as much are utter masterpieces and your exploration of them is absolute beauty yewchewb magic!

I like that you revisit palletes. I rather be inspired not influenced. I recently stopped watching some influencers because after a couple of years it becomes a bit hard to believe when you hear them say something is "the best" again and again. Or they will be following tiktok trends🙈 So love love love this! Would also love this with the anastacia and ND palletes❤❤❤ Love from the Netherlands

After seeing the Sailor Moon images and then seeing the palette, the browns seem really out of place. If browns were taken out and blues and silver were put in place *chef's kiss*.
That would be the ultimate palette, but probably too indie for Pat. As I know she tries to keep it “wearable”, but we can always dip out. Like some of the shades from Subliminal would be killer!

All the shades in the right hand corner (except for the duo chrome called Sextreme) are actually baked shades in Huetopian Dream. The glittery astrals in here are definitely baked, which is part of what makes them great, thin to apply toppers, not thick like the ones in Sunlit Seduction

Huetopian Dream is only mothership I own so I’m very excited to see 6 looks! Especially with a themed aesthetic in mind. The only shade I don’t love on me is actually Blitz Sextreme. The duochrome is gorgeous but something about the way the color sits and appear on my lids.. if I place it all over the lid, it looks almost like a halo eye but a muddy one ☹️ I consider myself pretty decent at eyeshadow so I don’t know if it’s the super round shape of my eyes or texture or what. I always wondered if anyone else had a similar experience. But I absolutely love the rest of the palette.
I can understand what you’re saying. It’s pretty, but the pigments can lay on the lid in a manner that’s not appealing. You might have to go in with a matte first, and then lightly shade Blitz Sextreme over it.
Quick tip: Sweeping Laura Mercier translucent powder across the lid can help reduce the intensity of an eyeshadow if you go in a bit too aggressively with a deeper color. 😊😊😊🤍🤍🤍

When I saw the limited edition Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal 2022 collection from Shu Uemura and the Eternal Prism Eye Palette i thought "Hmm, this is a muted mini version of Huetopia dream!" Huetopian dream and Subversive are my favorite big palettes from Pat, I love them

One of my favorite things to do with this pallete is to combine all the super textured shades! I use bronze solarice or astral amethyst moon as the the base shades, going all over the lid and into the crease and even blending them onto my brow bone. Then astral orchid moon as a brightening shade for the center of the lid or inner corner & lid. Specifically the mix of both astral orchid and amethyst moon Creates a beautiful almost icy super glitter with the pink base of amethyst moon. It makes for some beautiful mermaid vibes. This is truly my favorite pallets for it’s fun duochromes and insane texture that is even hard to find in indie shadows. This whole pallet was a banger, my only critique would be that bronze solarice is the weakest shade in terms of sticking opaquely to the lids, because of how dry it is. The texture can be good but it can also be just too much, and because it’s super glittery it just isn’t smooth which sometimes you’d want from a gold shade. None the less though, this palette is amazing for people who want a pop of wearable color. Or want to have the range from soft pink and subtle, to insane galactic glitters and interesting glam for days! I’ve had this palette for two years and I’m still not over the colors or the combinations! Also these shade work amazing with other shadows, so it’s a great for adding that pop of color/texture to other palettes!
Agreed, and probably why I ranked this lower because of Bronze Solaris. Using the wand helps a lot, otherwise the shade would not stick well to the lids. And it’s a lot of fun to combine the sparkly shades! The effect is high-shine and fantastical!
@aliciaarcher you should do a summary look card with a still of the different looks at the end of your videos. Picture a 3x2 format. It’s a nice way to summarise the video.
Gorgeous looks and I love the reasoning behind it!! 👏😊🌙 When the palette first came out I was initially thinking "dreamy lofi 2d art" (because I listen to a lot of asmr and lofi vidgeos), but I think Sailor Moon is better and anime is always a win.
It's weird, when I originally bought this palette at launch the two astral shades on the end were really chunky and stiff and glittery and felt hard and I loathed trying to work with them, so I returned the palette. I repurchased it at the beginning of this summer since I was so inspired by the colour story and was like I need to give it another try and those two shadows are so much softer and smoother in this one and on par with the consistency of like astral solstice or astral luna gold and I reach for them all the time to top off on other looks I do outside of that palette lol
I have 4 motherships and huetopian dream is not one of them, i do however.. have the shu eumura Sailormoon 6 pan pallette and the color story is somewhat a mini version of huetopian dream.... i am tempted alicia .. i really am 😅
I only use sunscreen when in direct exposure, otherwise I just where my UPF treated hat. And I wash my face with soap 3-4x week when I wear makeup. If not, I just use water.

I can only speak for the stick, but it has a natural/satin finish to the skin. Medium to high coverage depending on how much you apply. I would say suitable for normal/combo/semi-dry.
Do you consider those baked? I haven’t a seen a shade like Blitz Violet Orchid or Blitz Flame for a few palettes. Perhaps they are a category of baked, but VR Sextasy isn’t the same texture as what’s found in Divine Rose II.
@@aliciaarcherbaked is when they are literally baked in an oven. They start of as a cream. The end result may vary (gritty/ smooth/ textury), but the domed shape (raised from the pan) and not having a regular eyeshadow pan, is what gives it away. Huetopian dream has 4 special shades, but only 3 are baked.
@@aliciaarcher VR sextasy is the exception the other three are baked look really closely at the pans you’ll see a metal ring around VR sextasy but not the other 3 the others aren’t pressed they are quite literally baked into the palette. Hope that cleared it up xxx

Then astral orchid moon as a brightening shade for the center of the lid or inner corner & lid.
Specifically the mix of both astral orchid and amethyst moon Creates a beautiful almost icy super glitter with the pink base of amethyst moon. It makes for some beautiful mermaid vibes.
This is truly my favorite pallets for it’s fun duochromes and insane texture that is even hard to find in indie shadows.
This whole pallet was a banger, my only critique would be that bronze solarice is the weakest shade in terms of sticking opaquely to the lids, because of how dry it is. The texture can be good but it can also be just too much, and because it’s super glittery it just isn’t smooth which sometimes you’d want from a gold shade.
None the less though, this palette is amazing for people who want a pop of wearable color. Or want to have the range from soft pink and subtle, to insane galactic glitters and interesting glam for days!
I’ve had this palette for two years and I’m still not over the colors or the combinations! Also these shade work amazing with other shadows, so it’s a great for adding that pop of color/texture to other palettes!
Agreed, and probably why I ranked this lower because of Bronze Solaris. Using the wand helps a lot, otherwise the shade would not stick well to the lids. And it’s a lot of fun to combine the sparkly shades! The effect is high-shine and fantastical!

I do dip out to my Rust palette for a deep dark brown. But this is my second fave palette because of the purple tones.

When used when a lighter hand, I think it can totally work. If not, Moonlit Seduction is cooler, and not as vibrant.

It's weird, when I originally bought this palette at launch the two astral shades on the end were really chunky and stiff and glittery and felt hard and I loathed trying to work with them, so I returned the palette. I repurchased it at the beginning of this summer since I was so inspired by the colour story and was like I need to give it another try and those two shadows are so much softer and smoother in this one and on par with the consistency of like astral solstice or astral luna gold and I reach for them all the time to top off on other looks I do outside of that palette lol
I have 4 motherships and huetopian dream is not one of them, i do however.. have the shu eumura Sailormoon 6 pan pallette and the color story is somewhat a mini version of huetopian dream.... i am tempted alicia .. i really am 😅

Hi Alicia! I have a quick question about your skin sobering journey, do you still use sunscreen and how often do you cleanse?
I only use sunscreen when in direct exposure, otherwise I just where my UPF treated hat. And I wash my face with soap 3-4x week when I wear makeup. If not, I just use water.

I can only speak for the stick, but it has a natural/satin finish to the skin. Medium to high coverage depending on how much you apply. I would say suitable for normal/combo/semi-dry.

I think you mis spoke all 3 shades minus the multichrome are baked
Do you consider those baked? I haven’t a seen a shade like Blitz Violet Orchid or Blitz Flame for a few palettes. Perhaps they are a category of baked, but VR Sextasy isn’t the same texture as what’s found in Divine Rose II.
@@aliciaarcherbaked is when they are literally baked in an oven. They start of as a cream. The end result may vary (gritty/ smooth/ textury), but the domed shape (raised from the pan) and not having a regular eyeshadow pan, is what gives it away.
Huetopian dream has 4 special shades, but only 3 are baked.
@@aliciaarcher VR sextasy is the exception the other three are baked look really closely at the pans you’ll see a metal ring around VR sextasy but not the other 3 the others aren’t pressed they are quite literally baked into the palette. Hope that cleared it up xxx
