Hi Mark, I waved as I was leaving you were in the boat tie down area, it wasn't until I wast past you that I realized who you were. I was out there and caught a few Bass from my Kayak on a diving crank bait. Ive tried using a drop shot but found it hard to keep the perch off it.
Sorry, I didn't see you wave. The perch were biting constantly and I tried to ignore them. When I would set the hook it was a waste of a plastic worm. Thanks for watching the video.
I just started fishing this year and bought my first boat. Ive been to Sammamish 2 times and the lake is so big its pretty overwhelming. I was wondering how deep of water you are fishing? and how far on the lake are you going when you go to Sammamish? Ive been fishing towards the left of the boat launch near the lily pads or going to the beach and fish the docks over in that area. Im still a little nervous to venture out a little further.
I tend to fish the entire lake; bass are evenly spread around the lake. I fish different depths at different times of the year. You can see how deep in each of my videos. There are also some good largemouth bass in the lake (around the lily pads). The more you fish the lake and venture further away the sooner the lake will start to make sense. A good starting place is always at the ends of docks that are in deeper water. Good luck!
I know how deep from many years of experience and keeping detailed logs of every fishing trip. But the quickest way to learn is to learn what they eat and then find their food. You will notice in this video I show a yellow perch which is a food source. The perch are easy to find because they peck at your plastic worms and are easy to see schools of perch on your electronics.
I meant to say thank you first, so I'll say it last!
Thank you!
You are welcome!

Nice fishing! I saw that ya were using worm on your setup. Was that the zoom finese worm?
That was a Zoom Swamp Crawler worm. Thank you for watching.
Great content, I really enjoyed it. Can you please share with me your favorite drop shot line brand and poundage?
