And this is why I follow you Sage. You put it out there and deliver the goods. You motivate this 45 year old to constantly push myself to my best. I have been following alongside your training and in two weeks I’m hoping to set a PR on my half marathon. I am running my best thanks to your videos, and tips. Thanks for all you do to help us mere mortals hit our personal goals.
Nice workout. Good job. I’m training for my first marathon in June starting this coming week. Really looking forward to it! Keep putting out more training videos especially training sessions like this one.
totally!!! girl shows interest in what you do So TOTALLY commit & FF: she was only interested till marriage & FF: you get unmarried and she gets half your stuff including future earning... totally!!! marry this girl
Your progressing Sage that's very important, just keep that in mind and build that confidence up, I sense in your last several videos your getting pretty hard on yourself for your body not changing faster and your confidence dropped some..you got this! Great job also Sandi, coaching, cheering, and boosting the moral a bit!
Fine track workout &teamwork Sandi and Sage. Also impressed with how well you commentated all of the 'Thanks' and whatnot information before even fully catching your breath.
Sage, nice work. I am learning a lot watching you. Sharing your struggles, mistakes, hopes, failures and successes is an essential part of your blogs for my motivation and endeavor to give my best. Because we all go through this emotional roller coaster... Thanks and good luck!
One of the best videos! I love training videos with times. Coach Sandy keeping that little pocket rocket under control in the first few reps was great. :)
Great video! Thanks! It was super motivating and inspiring watching you slog through this hard fast interval workout. I've been 5K training with a bunch of 6 X 400M track intervals alone at my slow 41 year old pace, so very cool to watch you do this with your encouraging and knowledgable coach and partner. Very very cool!
Love these track/workout videos; gives me great tips on how to improve my own workout sessions. Sandy's feedback gives a great perspective that I will consider in future workouts. Thank you!
average 153 (including rests) max around 168, starting each 1k around 120 bpm If you like this kind of stuff follow him on strava, he posts all his workouts openly there :)
it's great for endurance....readily available, usually no need to supplement during long runs. slow burn sustained energy. where it can be a struggle is explosive sports.
Coach Sage usually makes a video of the comment with the most likes, right? So if we give a thousand likes to a comment "how to marry coach Sandy?" Would he have to do it? Lol
Hi coach Sage from Vo2maxproductions today with another training talk. Today, we're going to apply the aerobic base we've been working on to work on trying to get a girl to marry you. Now, in order to pop the big one, you're going to need to be running more than three times a week to reach your full potential. I mean, you can still get married on running three or four times a week, but you're not going to make her as happy as you could. If you're really dedicated, you want to run at least a hundred miles a week so you don't lose your breath before proposing.
That is a bad ass workout, in any wind and he is fighting wind. You can tell his coach is the sensible one...and his girlfriend...lucky to have supportive smart girl.
I am really impressed.. I don't understand HOW he manages to get each kilometer to SO close to the right time.. do you FEEL the running pace when it's that interval?
With some training baggage you learn how keep the pace as a clock, controlling lap pace, 500m pace, 800m, etc. helps to get to know sensations vs pace.
Hi Sage! First of all, thank you for all the great video's and advice. Second of all: The introtitle mentions Vo2max Producitons in your vids. I don't know if it's intentional, but you might want to correct it. Cheers from the Netherlands!
nice tracer 2! I sent mines back because they sent me the same one you had, but I wanted the colorway where its yellow instead of red. I hope they send the correct one
My workout would be (jack daniel's tabs) 3:59 for km, my recovery only 1 minute as you, or how i'm more slow than you i must to apply more time to recover? give me your opinion, I really like your videos, thank you
I did 2 days ago 15 x1000 at 03:23, rest between until 120 bpm, no 4-5 minutes rest in the middle, I would tell you man, this was extremely hard, god damn.....
I am trying to do this to get my speed back too. Tried it on a treadmill but tough! Making it to a track today so I can do the actual running and pacing. I can relate to the dread :|
Nice work Sage! What're your thoughts on changing directions when running on a track? I find that running one way for too long gives me weird pain from only turning one way...
I'll do it on a longer track workout for sure (stay tuned of "40-lap Pride")...yeah you can blow out a hip flexor with too much turning one way for sure

Congrats! Thanks for your support!
Finally Sage showed respects and trust for Coach Sandy. It is hard but took a real man to move forward with Coach Sandy. Good job both!
This looked tough, great job! These training videos are awesome. Also - Sandi's voice is so calming! She seems really encouraging and positive.
Tough coach! She has you on the right Track.
Thanks for talking in metric - saves me having to convert
of course!
EXACTLY THIS!
Dude!!! You're doing awesome. Get rid of those negative thoughts and tension out of the body and you'll improve out of sight.
Brilliant training, coach Sandi is such a good motivator 👍
Your guitar playing has come on so much compared to your old vids I've been watching this weekend. Good for you.
U two are just the cutest, love the way you work together! :)
I really like these videos, great insight into how a real athlete trains.
1km repeats always get me. I know the pain. Great work! ;)
I feel like dying just reading 10x 1k
Meat Bag same! 😂
Yes I felt sick too just thinking about how will I feel after 10x
Good job Sage. Time to get more positive now the workouts are starting to work. Great coaching too from Sandi.
Nice workout. Good job. I’m training for my first marathon in June starting this coming week. Really looking forward to it! Keep putting out more training videos especially training sessions like this one.
Sage, marry this girl! You rock coach Sandy!
Where The River Runs Totally. The only way he's getting a break on the next session is if he brings a nice ring along.
totally!!! girl shows interest in what you do So TOTALLY commit & FF: she was only interested till marriage & FF: you get unmarried and she gets half your stuff including future earning... totally!!! marry this girl

Awesome effort coach Sage. Don't be too hard on yourself! It's not about what you use to do its what you can do now. That's the measure.
Solid workout, Sage. Look at the grand scheme, you're getting faster.
Your progressing Sage that's very important, just keep that in mind and build that confidence up, I sense in your last several videos your getting pretty hard on yourself for your body not changing faster and your confidence dropped some..you got this! Some athletes present certain behavioral challenges. It's great to hear Coach Sandy drop the hammer!
What do you mean...
Fine track workout &teamwork Sandi and Sage. Also impressed with how well you commentated all of the 'Thanks' and whatnot information before even fully catching your breath.
Man your so lucky you get to do this for a living!
Well done Sage! Thanks for sharing your training!
Way to go sage gotta keep grinding out there

So different from sprinting, I'm out here taking 4-5 minute breaks after running 60m 😂
I’m out here taking 4-5 minute breaks after running 60km 😂
fantastic workout man, given the altitude and the heart rate data, your fitness and speed is getting into great shape
Great job Sage! More workouts like this and you'll do great in Houston.
Love these track/workout videos; gives me great tips on how to improve my own workout sessions. Sandy's feedback gives a great perspective that I will consider in future workouts. Thank you!
Sage is strong and tough. But Coach Sandy Is right; a more relaxed form might improve his endurance.
It's amazing how you look relatively relaxed running at those paces! Great teamwork too.
Sandy is a great coach! Good luck Sage, looking strong. You should do very well at sea level!
Im a big fan of you guys. Great workout! Congrats!!
I haven't done or been in shape to do a track workout in forever....this inspires me.
Nice job Sage!
Great coaching and excellent honest effort workout! That kind of coaching will make the difference Sage ;n)
Your gf is really supportive. Love it
If it was easy everyone would be a sage canaday but yet your 1 of a million great job
Wow... a marathon in 2 minutes and 19 seconds.
Boom!! That's so fast!!! I'm going to give this a go on Thursday thank Sage and Coach Sandy!
Hats off Sir,,brilliant 😵😍😱😱😱
Good job brother, thanks for sharing your training, really appreciate it
Thank you for sharing! Great honest video helps me push at my track workout too!

Sandy commentary was great! What a gal :)

Deftones... so damn good xdxd
Would love to see your heart rate metrics for the training.

Manhattan track! Nice!
Interesting workout. Good job at keeping pace!
You are a great couch, Sage!
"Look at that butt"

Fantastic, excellent training ... Marco Antonio, Sao Paulo - Brazil
That is a bad ass workout, in any wind and he is fighting wind. You can tell his coach is the sensible one...and his girlfriend...lucky to have supportive smart girl.
Turning 30 sucks! Rest is key. Our limits change - just enjoy the journey... (cool vids n' tips!)
Don't worry about your mates, when you've got Coach Sandy, who's more than your Coach!
You run like a beast and your girlfriend coach sounds awesome
Boulder Colorado looks a lot like Vancouver BC. Lots of mountains and a nature based enviornment.
abnormal crazy workout, respect!
Nice the king of the races
I'll be running the Houston half marathon 😃😃
Tempo runs are a bit challenging. When I do my repeats I add an additional 15 seconds to help me stay relax during the workouts.
Nice effort you should be able to do this session fairly comfortable at 3.12 K pace of your marathon goal pace is 3.17
I am really impressed..
Don’t wanna be rude but
I did 5x1km (4:17, the fastest) and (5min rest)
and felt uncertain which one will go first, am I going to poop first or vomit?
Very nice training 👌🏻
great content champ!
great session i am going to try this workout
he honestly made this look pretty easy...wow
keep your chin up sage
Whoo look at that butt ! 😂 Great session and Sage looks stronger.
Hi Sage! First of all, thank you for all the great video's and advice. Second of all: The introtitle mentions Vo2max Producitons in your vids. I don't know if it's intentional, but you might want to correct it. Cheers from the Netherlands!
Sandy must at times feel like she is training a wild beast haha
What brething patterm are you useing in this run to get 3:00 min per km ? You use 2-2 ?
How is Sage breathing?
Beast sage 👑👑👑👑
Very good effort!
nice tracer 2! I sent mines back because they sent me the same one you had, but I wanted the colorway where its yellow instead of red. I hope they send the correct one
More coach sandy!
Ok wow. This is sick😲
they sure help : back wind, and pretty coach...
great material! How was it on the race day? Did you get sub 2:19 result?
Very good but if you want to finish the marathon in less than 2:20:00 you should do the breaks running slower (like 3:40), not resting for 1 minute!
Wow that weather - it’s already snowing in Canada
My workout would be (jack daniel's tabs) 3:59 for km, my recovery only 1 minute as you, or how i'm more slow than you i must to apply more time to recover? give me your opinion, I really like your videos, thank you
I like it , I'm ignas walinda from mwanza Tanzania,
nice,great
thanks for you share your traning.
I want to know if I want take marathon for 330, how much time should I train 10x1km for en minute?
I did 2 days ago 15 x1000 at 03:23, rest between until 120 bpm, no 4-5 minutes rest in the middle, I would tell you man, this was extremely hard, god damn.....
What is The rest time between every interval?
i think i need a trip out there, looks awesome climate :-)
I am trying to do this to get my speed back too. Tried it on a treadmill but tough! Making it to a track today so I can do the actual running and pacing. I can relate to the dread :|
Beast! You’re really making it look easy. May I know your breathing exercise for such pace?
Nice work Sage! What're your thoughts on changing directions when running on a track? I find that running one way for too long gives me weird pain from only turning one way...
I'll do it on a longer track workout for sure (stay tuned of "40-lap Pride")...yeah you can blow out a hip flexor with too much turning one way for sure
