Great video! I have trouble seeing people ride without gloves. I believe that when most accidents happen the hands take the 1st impact and therefore gloves are vital. I am not an accident expert but the pain of healing hands is terrible. Loved your video!
I have about 750 miles on my Mantis. I'm loving the color scheme you have with the accessories. I'm going to buy that mirror right now since looking behind you at high speeds can lead to wobbling and potentially a crash. As always great work.
@@Arroyies I went through Fluidfreeride when I purchased the base model and the fast charger. I highly recommend getting the fast charger since it allows you to adjust the amps and percentage of charge you want. When I want to "trickle" charge my scooter overnight I can set the charger to 1 amp, and when I want to fast charge I boost it up to 5 amps.
Awesome video! Thanks for giving us an update on your Mantis. Your videos are unique and educational and give insight on the capabilities of the Mantis.
One if the best video on electric scooters!!!! You explained it well thank you. Could you make a video on what scooter that is well built and what worth getting.
My Kaabo Mantis 10+ V2 arrived today. The steering stem clamp is useless. the stem wobbles badly at the clamp no mater how much I tighten it. It's not a wobble further down, it's under the clamp. I couldn't be more disappointed.
I ordered 2 lights of the same brand and model called: victagen 2400. About $30 USD each. I ordered the 1st one and was happy with it and just ordered the 2nd one mainly so that I could use it as a usb battery for my LED lights but will turn it on when I go on the pitch dark trail, I just got it today so I don't know how it looks with both lights on. On the amazon page, I selected the model with: Unique FOG Light modes. I ordered that one because it had the most check boxes on the model list comparison haha. I am happy with it, basically my first scooter head lights I use to ride in the dark. But my scooter only goes 15mph, for something faster, you will need something bigger than this light. My estimation, I wouldn't feel safe going faster than 20mph using one victagen 2400. I also used some duct/t-rex tape to make a rain cover over the usb ports so it wouldn't rain directly on the usb port when I have the usb LED lights plugged into the victagen.
Thanks for posting!! I'm trying to decide between buying the base mantis version or the pro version. My job is a bit of a ways away at about 20 miles. I know the base version with get me there but do you think it'll get me back home. Pretty flat area and I weigh about 190lbs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks bro and please keep posting videos!!
Electric Scooter Guide gave the Mantis a 29 mile real world range, so it definitely won't make a 40 mile round trip on a single charge. But if you can charge it at work you should be fine.
Love your videos very informative because of you I wind up making up my mind and purchasing a mantis scooter and just want to say thank you and keep up the videos I have one question I'm trying to upgrade my handlebar handles like the red ones you have in your mantis how can I tell what size will fit my mantis can you please let me know so I can order a pair thank you
Great video again, thanks! I have been using a NiteRider Lumina 1100 Boost, and it has been great, I am also ridding a mantis and I love it it has plenty of power and a really smooth ride. Did you get the stem bolt upgrade from ffr?
Look up the a5 flashlight from wowtac. It’s cheap, well made, and extremely bright! This is what I’ll be using as I just bought some silicon bike mount and a sexy new mantis proooooo. So yea, 72 dollars in total for the light and attachment and It doubles as a (sick) flash light. Thanks for the inspiration to buy one man, I’m so excited
Stem wobbles a little after tightening all the bolts as fluidfreeride suggestions. I wonder if the stem is supposed to move a little since it only has a single bolt and the stem is tall.
Hello, nice video! Have a quick question about the Mantis. I should have my Mantis Base from FFR next week. Does the Mantis come delivered already with a speed limiter? If it does, how do i disable the speed limiter or is there a video? Thanks
Thanks for the update mate. As for headlight recommendations... I can definitely recommend the Nitecore BR35. It's on the higher end of the price range but the power and flexibility can't be matched. The only one I can think of is made by Fenix. Have a look and see what you think. I got mine off Drop for a really good price so keep your eyes peeled.
Knog PWR lights are great, and they double as power banks. Also O-Light makes a great general use flashlight called the S2R that you call get a handlebar mount for.
I have e little wooble problem at high speed(55km/h+), and i wonder if upgrading the tires to 10x3 will fix it! Otherwise the scooter is amazing! And a little "click sound" on the suspension! By the way, i got on mine a 65km/h speed, witch is amazing!
I see you use some kine of glue for wires so water doesn't get in, one easy fix would be black silicone glue that work well I use it for my daily driver truck
I just ordered one from light in the box Type this in Google "bike stem extender bike handler extender carbon fiber light road bike mountain bike" then go the website that says "light in the box"
Hey bro, I am legit subscriber over here with V3 Dual Motor Kaabo Mantis, do you have photo of your wirings? I messed up all my wirings including lights.
The throttle is designed to not able to be engaged while the brakes are active. If it is still doing it afted you release the brakes then twist the knob on the brake lever to adjust the cable till the brakes disengage
I have also mantis 8 but i have light problem after 100km when i start give gas and run front light is start shining and also light button blue light is shining little what can be the problem can you help me there was no problem till 118km it happen in this morning
Problem solving??? If you could at least write how you made the spacer that was connected to the tread plate. It sounded like it was going to update at any moment. That is the solution to the problem..
Hi, I'm clear across the country from you, New York. It was just a email saying that they received the scooters from customs and they are bringing them to their warehouse in Utah and from there they will ship out orders on the 29th or possibly the 30th. I pre ordered back on June 4th.
When they actually ship out scooter to you, then you will receive another email with your tracking number. Not sure who they are using Fedex or UPS. If you live on the wst coast, then you'll obviously receive your scooter quicker. Thanks!
I'm getting mine June 29-30 as well, here in NYC. Did you guys get the base or pro model? I got the base. Im strictly using mine for commuting to work but if I see myself using it more, I'll most likely end up getting a Dualtron Storm. For now, this mantis is perfect for my needs!
Big news! The first ever line of RK9 Rides apparel and merch is out!

Congrats on your mantis! Mine is coming next week!!
Where did you buy it from?

So really no actual repairs at all after 270 miles. Not bad at all! I just ordered mine last night And I can't wait!
Oh your going to have to wait ... its took almost a month in a half to get mine but so happy it arrived. Enjoy the wait is the annoying part
Fugi s I ordered from fluid free ride.com instead of china will that make a difference?
@@lewissmith234 that's exactly where I got mine 😑 they're great people to work with but like I said the wait is annoying. Literally took like 6 weeks.
Subscribed! Thanks for the updates on how the Mantis is holding up.
Does doing this void the warranty?

make sure to silicone the deck as well and lights and maybe add a rubber gasket
Lezyne lights are really high quality and have lights for any budget and they are crazy bright and have great batteries
Thanks for the video! Have you had any issues riding off road w/ the stock tires?
Did the waterproofing work?
Great! Looking at the Mantis or the Turbowheel Lightning...really like both of them. Thanks for the video updates.

the kaabo mantis and the nanrobot D6+ are very similar in price and performance but which one should I get?

you should check out the MS Monteer 3500 lumen
Wow. Great review and excellent breakdown of issues. It begs the question, are any of these scooters made well?
That's my worry with buying one again. I don't think they're built to last unless you shell out for the real big boy ones.

if we talking about light, the best is light from Wolf Warrior ;)

try climbing steep hills with the mantis it cant do it dualtron can
