    Please read:
Those of you telling me that I am tightening the stem plate in the wrong place, thank you for informing me and I will use this information to fix the scooter.
HOWEVER, just because the stem issue CAN be fixed does not make the Mantis a quality product. 500 miles is almost nothing for a high end scooter and for it to be loosening in such a significant way is a major issue for me. I DO NOT feel safe on this scooter. I shouldn't have to be popping the thing open to work on it after such a short amount of time. This is besides all the other issues that I listed in the video.
Also, YOU not having the same issues with this scooter does not change my personal experience with the scooter. You can tell me a million times that you like the scooter and you won't change my opinion because I have my own personal experience with it. That is what MY channel is for: MY experience.
I told my story about my issues with all the flat tires as a warning for my American viewers because Fluid Freeride is the main or only distributor here, and I want them to know that I did not get the correct innertube replacement from Fluid. If you have a place where you can quickly get quality innertubes for the Mantis, good for you. I have not had that experience though.
Thanks for watching and supporting as always.

I also had clamp that way round, I don't see why having it this way would make a difference...its looks better...although the stem did split the other week just above the clamp lol

You should definitely replace the aluminum steering neck and the fork after that hard crash! Your scooter will not be safe to operate until you fix the crash damage. Something is obviously bent because of the lack of clearance at the front of the deck. It is way less than mine even when you flex it away.

Zero 9 has far too much stem wobble that messes with low speed stability when turning. True that. I have a Dualtron Mini. Which I love very much! Amazing scooter all together so fat but it came with an improperly alligned stem which meant that if I held me steering wheel straight, my wheel would be some degrees to the left. I had to drill the holes bigger and now it's perfectly alligned. Still... for a company that makes $8000 scooters, that is not ok.

The thing I love about this rant is very true - nobody does any follow up, sturdiness or longevity testing on any scooters. A consumer hands the seller a couple thousand or more dollars, then the companies change the models every 12-18 months. Dualtron for example has about a dozen different ones, they also have the Speedway models and now they carry the BlueTran models. Why in the world does a scooter company need so many models and who is going to keep track of their quality?
In reality I only see room for maybe 5 speed versions of a scooter with interchangeable street and off-road tires included in the price: 0-15mph, up to 30, up to 45, up to 60, and then highway speeds 60 > 80+mph
I would also make the scooters modular to change deck width, stem height and be able to install a reinforced bracket to mount a seat that sits back closer to the rear tire or add a basket to the same seat post.
Dualtron is not alone in this hype driven platform so what I would like to see is longer warranties that I don't have to pay an extra $400-$600 for 3 years. If the product is good then I shouldn't have to pay extra to insure it and possibly get the run-a-round when I make a claim.
Don't care if someone gets offended because if I'm paying thousands of dollars for a big battery and a few hundred dollars in parts that get imported and manufactured from overseas, I want to make sure it will last. These scooters are rated for people 220 to 350Lbs. so it should tested rigorously with the heaviest listed weight for at least 1,000 miles before bringing it to market. The electronics, brakes and other components should all be tested as well and have certificates like they do with other products costing thousands of dollars.

Make shure the valve is not rubbing in a wrong angle in the wheel. It can weaken valve & the rubbery part. Also the bent axel will vibrate the valve & the wheel thus rips it.

Ok I have the mantis and I brought it down stairs to ride and and it wouldn't turn on I don't think it's he battery because I kept it charged it's still under warranty but I'm responsible for shipping it to Florida and back (150) so they say its the controller I was actually watching your videos along with others that's how I decided to get it I've had 3 others one costing 400 wasn't good and ecoreco 1000. After them 2 I got the mantis 2000 and loved it as you did but I'm at the 800 Mile point and it just turned off and won't come on they sent me the parts to fix but it looks kinda hard it it easy to do can some one give me advice cause like it or not I'll be paying this off for a year so I'm stuck with it and can't afford to put in a shop is it easy to change the CONTROLLER?

Thanks a lot for this review. I was actually considering the Mantis. I can't believe the poor design, engineering, and manufacturing of a $1600 scooter. Very disappointing.

Vsett 10+ is what I chose over the mantis pro for the same price in the country I reside in (Sweden)
I had to go test the weight see see if I can lift it up (36 kg is no joke) turned out its possible for me to lift it and hold it so it was a no brainer just go for something reliable i swear even vsett have their problems but it's the best we have so far and it's issues can be easily addresses (fender extension, waterproofing for example )

Yo you inspired me to make a couple videos as well although couldnt commit to keeping it, the rear hub i guess( i thought it was the bent rotor) I couldnt reach top speed unless going downhill , Im happy to send you an extra tube I had spare from my 2 experienced flats. For other commenters theres an Apollo brand or name of Scooter that looks almost the same but has had much better reception in terms of rigidness but i would recommend others to look for content and unfortunately some one has to be the reviewer of a long time reviews.

    1. Did you try to bend the tire valve w pliers to the correct angle
    2. For any loose parts you can try to weld them together. This is regarding the loose footboard

I have nanrobot d6+ and I can relate to him from the very first day I am having troubles with inner tubes.
The replacement inner tubes are always 1 in small in width so it causes strain on the tube and it does not last long.
Not sure where we can get the correct inner tubes or is it just a monopoly in China 🙄

Another great video and so sorry to hear the issues you're having. I'm up to 700 miles on my Mantis with no problems yet. Here's hoping that it stays that way. This is my third scooter and I had a similar issue with another brand and it just seemed like I got a lemon. I'm still loving the Mantis for the amazing way it rides. It's really early days for the scooter industry, so let's hope the general quality of products continues to improve as things get more mainstream. Love the channel as always...

Indeed. It depends on how you ride it. I saw people doing all sort of stuff on some scooters that really weren't made for all that.

Love your videos. But the way you ride your Mantis, these issues were expected. I would suggest making videos on how to fix this issues. By the way i don't even have a Mantis)
