- Spyker F1 Team took over Midland and entered just 17 races before being purchased and rebranded as Force India. Spyker almost made history at the 2007 European Grand Prix at the Nurburgring, and lead a the race by a large margin thanks to Markus Winkelhock and a strategic masterstroke, but it was short lived. Spyker left F1, but they're still remembered.

Adrian Sutil at Fuji was a beast
In a parallel universe, Markus Winkelhock has won the Nurburgring race and is now still racing for Aston Martin.
Winkelrock is triple f1 champion in that universe. And Spyker F1 2 times constructors champion.
He did drive for audi during the 2013 nurburgring 24h so there is that
Spyker also made some really interesting, aircraft inspired road cars.
Some almost look like Bugattis too

Hey, thanks a lot. I remember that F1 team, and Top Gear driving one of their road cars. F1 was was going through back-marker and mid-pack teams at an alarming rate in the 00’s. We had to go through the hugely disappointing Peter Windsor/Ken Anderson (2 massive twats) debacle with US-F1 in 2010. Thanks again, good content.

Spyker is my favourite F1 team ever. There may be a slight bias here as it's still my dream car brand.
I was driving from Italy to Denmark the day of the 2007 European GP and got caught in the same storm system that hit the track. And it hit so fast. I went from 90mph to 30mph in a matter of seconds and I couldn't see 5 meters past my hood.
When you mention 'Sutil', the racer shown is Albers.

Maybe Winkelhock wouldn't even score a podium (bad car and first race) if not red falg and dnf. But bunch of points, in a debiut, with a damn spyker...
Imagine replacing a guy who lead you a race with Sakon freaking Yamamoto, a completely worthless driver. Unfortunately, that was a fate that often befallen small, underfunded teams: that they had to drop genuine talents (many of which would never get another chance to race again) in favor of below mediocre pay drivers.
Also, it would be interesting to see a video that covers the absolute worst pay drivers in F1 history (like Rosset and Deletraz level of bad).
A small correction, at the start you show Albers but put Sutils' name on screen : )
