I like your presentation with the lady asking the questions I would ask. I like that it’s not a slick, professional tutorial that makes me feel stupid. I was able to follow what he said, and I think I can sharpen my little saw myself. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
I always thought you were supposed to go into the tooth from the cutting edge, but I guess whatever works. Thanks for clarifying what size the chains require.
Thank you for the info. I certainly am going to attempt to sharpen mine. Just tried to use it & noticed I was having increased difficulty with cutting the thicker branches & believe I need to sharpen mine

I think you were the one we were making this video for if I remember correctly. Hope it helps and you can check that out at Home Depot to buy it or on Amazon.
Very nice video!!! More people are apt to have the mini these days but the teeth are so small on it. Liked seeing what you did on the bigger teeth of the bigger saw. Looking forward to seeing the full maintenance in the spring!!!
Glad I could help! If you can't find the files over at Home Depot I recently found something very similar over at Harbor freight. Might be worth checking out.
@@Deerhavenoffgridhomestead Thanks! I’m in a rural area of southern British Columbia. No Harbour Freights up here and the nearest Home Depot is an hour away. But there’s always Amazon. They have 1/8 “ chainsaw files, so that should work out. I really like my micro chainsaw. Sure handy for pruning.
Before I destroyed ( caught fire ) my mini electric chainsaw I would clamp the bar in a vise between 2 blocks of wood, mark the first tooth and hand file before every cutting experience. New saw coming now since other one let out the "magic smoke" and stopped working
@My little Idaho Off-Grid Homestead understood. I have a basement workshop and a shed workshop with bench vises in both so at this time I am lucky. Any move will involve lots of tools for sure

You are so welcome!
I love my 6 in and 3 in saws, very versatile.
A few minutes at beginning or end of the work day make the work day go smoother. Great video

Check out Princess Auto they should have hobby files.
Oiling the chain: are these "mini's self oiling or how often should you oil?
We oil after every use.

I'll ask hubby where else to find out when he wakes in the morning.
Ok so he did get it at home depot but it was a hobby file kit. Maybe look for that.
