- Pokemon is a very family friendly series, but that doesn't mean it doesn't get people into trouble. Believe it or not, Pokemon has actually helped to get people ARRESTED on several occasions, and a few of those stories are exactly what we are going to highlight in this video!

Criminal: Hey, so what you in for?
Me: (Making fake pokemon popsicles) I stabbed a man.
With the fake popsicles?
He’s armed with a popsicle stick! Quick! Taser him before he can stab us with it!
@@ashleytuchin7693 No, the joke is that he was so embarrassed that he was in jail for pokemon popsicle sticks, that he lied and said he stabbed someone.
@@dranonjagaming8365 i think ashley was joking about a joke
Criminal: So, what're you in for?
Guy: I sold a hacked Pokémon to someone. What about you?
Criminal: Ah, neat. First degree murder.
*Criminal scoots away from him in fear
I dont know why but i laughted so hard with this one. Seriously, one of my biggest laughts with youtube comments. Thanks!
@@AznYunHoudude calm down man
I love the fact that Pokemon is only family friendly as long as you are innocent enough to not understand why it's not 😂😂😂
We all know the Pokedex exaggerates a lot.
@@25Erix Don't forget the Japanese version of one of the 4th gen games(I could be wrong) that mentions that Pokémon and humans once married each other
@@MrFiekie123 Yeah, that sounds about right.
only uneducated fools think pokemon is for kids.
pokemon is for all ages.
you like it when your a kid because you are oblivious to how dark and brutal it truly is.
you like it when your teen and adult because you've unveiled the facade and see it's true dark and brutal self.
@@MrFiekie123 In a book about myths and legends though.
How’s that criminal walking into a police station to challenge a gym?
Looks like even the police were ‘catching ‘em all’
I feel like most of this will be Pokémon go related
I heard that someone once stopped in the middle of a motorway to catch a Pokémon.
Between the numerous reports of trespassing and traffic incidents, I wouldn’t be surprised
Honestly Pokemon Go needs its own video.
It would go hand in hand with the "5 Times Pokémon Got People KILLED" video...
I'm just starting this video, and I agree. Will reply back addy the end.
The popsicle stick guy sounds like a scalper that wanted to get as many cards to sell them off. If he was a scalper, I’m glad he got arrested.
Yeah ikr
Not cool
Amazing how two of these were criminals who got busted because they just had to play freaking Go. As if that game couldn’t get any more cursed. 😂
Well I guess many Pokemon Go players' carelessness with their surroundings turned out to be a double-edged sword after all. ^^
When Go first came out, I was circling around a public park, grabbing a bunch of pokestops with each lap. Some people in a house neighboring the park called the cops on me because they thought I was a drug dealer, wandering around like that. Luckily the officer knew it was bullshit and knew what i was doing right away, but he still had to confront me as a formality. I'm just glad he was so nice about it.
something important to remember is that japan takes copyright law VERY seriously and you could very well be risking jail time for something that would be seen as small to some other countries (i know this because avatar: the last airbender is a BITCH to find in japan so i suggested that a japanese friend of mine find a site to pirate it from but he refused because he didn't want to take the risk).

Getting maxed stats isn't even that elusive anymore, and people still hack...
Okay?
How would you know a mon is hacked?
@@GreyLeo legendarys are pretty easy to see if they hacked, they often have all the ribbons from all games and full iv and ev stats and the ”right” nature and ofc they are shiny, i instalt release them if i get one from suprise trade, btw do 10 suprise trade and you most likely will get a hacked shiny.!
@@curlydolltv By which I mean maxed out IVs, just get to level 100 which can be done much faster nowadays and use bottle caps, not too hard, still takes a bit of time though.
@@GreyLeo also incredibly obvious if you're on surprise trade and get shines no one gives up shines
Pokemon go be like: i arrest criminals
Well, I can definitely see that wanted criminal who just walked up to a police station playing Pokemon Go nailing the "Surprised Pikachu" face, lol.
Criminal : im not showing up there
PoGo : fine I'll guide you there
I knew there’d be a Pokémon go story the moment i read this title lol
Honestly u now need to do a video on people who were arrested for playing Pokemon GO. I remember hearing crazy stories all over FB because people were technically trespassing on people's properties to catch Pokemon and the owners called the cops.
pokemon go stories expectations: breaking and entertaining, trespassing just to find a rare pokemon or go to a pokestop.
pokemon go stories reality: nah, we catch the criminals
The wanted criminal from Michigan was definitely Team Valor💀
Why?
It was a smart move to make a police station as Pokemon gym 😂
Mad props for only having 2 of them being Pokemon Go related
My cousin got arrested because he was standing in front of someone's house while playing Pokemon go. It's not his fault there was a Poke-Stop there
Wow really hahahaha.
He wasnt trespassing so i dont get how he was arrested
@@matthall113 they thought he was stalking them or something.
Now if only Nintendo could crack down on all of the hacked Pokémon floating around the wonder trade system. It’s so annoying to get an amazing Pokémon just to see that it’s a fake.
IKR I got several shiny legendary Pokémon but their names were locked and were of the same trainer origin ID. They were named after sites or discord
I just wished they were from the Pokédex because then at least they could help fill in the dex
Imagine being so desperate to leak information that you do it two weeks before the official release date. And you got arrested for it.
I loved your Pokemon Cardinal series. I think that someone needs to make that into a fangame or make it another spinoff like the Mystery Dungeon games. I'd definitely play that game over and over again. :)
This is evil shady stuff and why I don’t trust other people and especially the Pokémon they battle with.
not even me and my full hatterene team all named after famous literary witches?
“What are you in for”
“Leaking monsters before the release”
This is the best thumbnail you’ve ever made. They’re all good, but this one is the winner for me
“Bad boys, bad boys/Whatcha gonna do?/Whatcha gonna do/ For a Klondike Bar?”- “YTP- IM Meen’s Deteriorating Mental Stability” by Jimmy Davis
There was this incident in Vancouver where a Pokemon Go player jumped onto the SkyTrain tracks just to catch a Pokémon. Even though sensors in the tracks stop trains before they hit anything, he could still have touched the power rail and gotten electrocuted. Don’t do this!
Five times Pokemon got people arrested? More like five times Pokemon GO got people arrested.
lol my favorite stories ya shared were the Pokemon Go related ones.
They also need to set in place checks to make sure a Mon is actually good for masuda breeding instead of someone just changing the language. Those Mon won’t work and essentially place you at full odds, which I did not trade my Mon for. Maybe a an additional symbol to show what country the Mon is actually from even if the person changes the language
There should have been a Pokémon go advertisement that’s like
Pokémon go! So fun you’ll be willing to face jail time to catch ‘em all!
Why is your channel name hoops and hiphop but I never get any basketball content here? LOL. Subbed ;)
Me who didn't have pokemon go til the craze died out.
i thought all modern pokemon games, had a hexagon symbol thing next to the pokemons stats to indicate that pokemons legitimacy. also people should take good care and attention to the screens such as where the pokemon was caught in the wild, and which pokeball was used on the pokemon. not every Pokemon in existance is compatible with every pokeball in existence. for example, a non bug type pokemon in a park ball from hg/ss. and master balls always raise eyebrows.
Honestly hearing that hacked crap made me think back to the times when I was in a boy and just used Pokémon cheat codes just to have fun being able to walk through walls infinite money Pokémon generator. I was still a kid so I just did it have fun
2:09 crazy storie fact 1:the police gym
I thought that this was a video about the actual pokémon characters who got arrested but actually this is good too.
You should cover the craziest hacked pokemon scares (like the hacked event shiny tapu koko that spread like wildfire back in S/M ((anyone remember that? It was absolute mayhem.)), the recent pokemon home and swsh banwave, machamps.(i ain't finishing that obviously), the 3ds shiny hack brick, etc.)
Most awesome vid!!!!
On the news at one point roughly after Pokémon go had just came out a guy had found a dead body while playing Pokémon go
Yeah I remember that!
I used to never actually think that Pokemon can get you arrested.
The last one feels especially worse because SwSh might be the easiest games to raise a competitive Pokémon in with how easy it is to ev train, introduced mints and just the insane amount of TMs and TRs available. Oh and it’s not hard to get the patches to give your Pokémon the ideal ability.
Overall it takes only a few hours and I know because I have made a ton of teams that I am proud of.
That guy going to the police station to get a gym :'yeah this is big brain time'
Damn and here I was expecting that Hoops would talk about the two guys that got arrested back in 2015 at the PWC held in Boston.
😂 These People are hilarious
Officer Jenny approves
In my country some people went into a garden after close time to get Pokémon on Pokémon go lol they got arrested too
Almost!? They really got arrested in the First Pokémon cartoon show season 1!🌌📺
Also someone were doing some weapon dealing during a year of pokemon vgc. That's should have been in the list
I can see the headline "Florida man gets arrested trying to catch pOkEMAN"
Can I just appreciate the use of Pokemon Journeys episode 67 in the thumbnail?
Ive gotten several shiny perfect or close to it mons im not sure if they are hacked or not....is there a way to tell
2:00 I remember hearing about this and ik where it happened too
Hoops: Literally no one was not playing Pokemon Go initially.
Me: I've consistently had phones too old to run the app.
I generally get hand-me-down phones that about a generation or two behind the newest. If it works, it works. I don't need the latest and greatest. My current phone is the first phone I've owned where the app actually shows up in the PlayStore.
The guy with a warrant who went to the police department got me weak 😂😂😂😂😂
This video: *exist*
officer jenny: i approved this
The team rocket of our world
Me before seeing this video: probably just people trespassing while playing Pokémon GO
How about that guy who got arrested for playing Pokémon GO at the church. That incident also got predicted by the Simpsons
me : looks at gen 7
Definitely family friendly
I actually buy hackedmons, they are legal though but I don’t use them on tournaments, I use them online single battles though.
*The funny part is he was probably breaking and entering because Pokémon*
That's a lot more non Pokemon Go related crimes than expected
Very important:Do not cheat in Pokémon.
Or else, Officer Jenny will find you.
I'm surprised you didn't mention a man arrested in Russia, because he went to catch a pokemon in a church XD
I knew that pokemon go was going to be at least one of the things
I only started playing Pokemon go when the Pokemon could be transported to main series game
I vibe with the new music
2:51 that's the biggest N00B I have ever seen
I remember I was at school and I saw a on google that someone got arrested to trading a sobble.
When you're playing Pokémon go when he is talking about Pokémon go
Real title: 5 Times People Got Themselves ARRESTED.
I haven’t watched the video yet my prediction is pirating
"Family Friendly"
Sure.. looks like that.. until you read the lore on some pokemon. 😏
What do you mean? Ghost types are my favorite Family Friendly Pokemon!
Litwick:While shining a light and pretending to be a guide, it leeches off the life force of any who follow it.
Phantump:According to old tales, these Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died while lost in the forest.
Froslass:When it finds humans or Pokémon it likes, it freezes them and takes them to its chilly den, where they become decorations.
Dritfloon: It is whispered that any child who mistakes Drifloon for a balloon and holds on to it could wind up missing.
I hate when shit gets leaked, not just with pokemon, but with any video game. So it's immensely satisfying to me when those people get caught and punished for that shit.
Me when I hear that Pokémon go got two wanted criminals arrested: *perhaps I treated you too harshly*
Really though if one of these is just hacking, I'd be shocked.
Edit: ok, selling something hacked is a completely different story...
Me: how did you get in jail? Guy: I killed a man. Me: I leaked a video game charater. Guy: *scoots away*
Damn, getting arrest for cheating in a kid’s game is gonna be a tough rep to get over in the pin lol
so you can say
one of the criminals got into a sticky situation ,cus its a popcycle
I feel like Pokémon go might be in this list
Where is the footage of the boy with his Squirtle plush from?
Remember you can’t catch them all behind a jail cell
2:55 Nobody? THX HOOPS just call me a nobody then lol! Honestly the reason I never got into Pokemon Go was a) it sucked ur battery for ur phone like crazy b) u needed wifi to play it or it sucked your data like crazy and c) I honestly wasn't interesting in having to walk everywhere to find Pokemon when at the time I lived in a small lown that didn't have a lot of Pokemon spawn areas.
And then there is me, who didn't and doesn't even have a phone!
@@myheartismadeofstars IKR? I currently don't havve a phone and honestly its getting to the point where its almost a safety hazard since so many public places (malls theaters walmarts etc) no longer have pay phones. The Walmart nearest me has three but they're considering getting rid of them because not many people use pay phones anymore. This coming from a guy who grew up in a small town where nearly every store had payphones a phone book and the number and address to call a cab.
@@davidfitzpatrick4254 Yep! Thankfully my fiance has one but It's really dangerous to go out without one! So easy to get stranded!
Wow, only two of these are Pokemon GO-related. I'm honestly surprised.
U were so serious about this yeah im am mad to they deserve justice for their wrong acts
I’m speechless
So what am I meant to do if you get a hacked pkmn traded to you cause I got one traded to me
Of course Pokémon Go got people arrested! People were running out into traffic and trespassing!
I have never played Pokémon Go.
People who get arrested for leaking pokemon are heroes
I know it’s probably too dark for one of these videos, but I wonder if anyone will ever cover those two teenagers who got arrested for planning a mass shooting at the Pokémon World Championship lol
*Whaaat?!* 😮 I've honestly never heard about that before. That's crazy! I'm glad they caught them before they could hurt anybody though 😕
Imagine going to prison for a Pignite
2:05 There are no accidents
Regarding the last one...
First and foremost, using hacked Pokemon is cheating, no "sort of" about it. It is flat out cheating. And if you want to do it purely in single player content, go ahead. Cheat codes and such were made for the same reason. If its ruining anyone's enjoyment, its your own. But if you're doing it to win a competition like a tournament or speedrun, then its wrong.
Moving on though, its possible he wasn't advertising them as hacked. The buyers are still scum for trying to find a roundabout way of getting good without putting in the effort (paying someone to win for you is still cheating if you're the one taking the credit and acting like you did it), but you can't necessarily fault them for buying hacked Pokemon if they didn't know. Who knows? Maybe that's what got him caught. Someone bought one thinking they were paying for someone to do the hunting and grinding for them, found out they were hacked Pokemon instead, and called him out on it.
"pokemon is family friendly"
And the first add was clearly a 18+ add
4:47 The squrtile was got bloody... mouthed?
Come on he is the best poketuber
