This is a great tool (image trace), the problem is that to obtain symmetry and relatable proportions, something that is usually an important characteristic of a good logo, you will end up doing much more work. From a personal perspective, image trace is a wonderful tool for artwork work indeed, awesome to help you with those bits of an illustration that you just don’t gain anything from tracing manually, absolutely great to work with the detailed bits of a piece, but nothing replaces the good old pen tool to achieve precise shapes.
I love it!! OMG this is exactly what I was looking for I'm a novice when it comes to technical stuff but this is soo helpful. Cheers mate much appreciated
I have been using Psd for quite a while but not Ai so was really finding the solution to create path outline from a png file. 6:58 is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for the explanation! :)
Unfortunately some images will never have clean lines when using the auto image trace function, especially with sketch images like this. You did a great job at adapting to make it work!
Why would you not explain how to get the image from photoshop into ai. I'm losing resolution and it wont let me image trace. And when I open ai I dont have the same toolbar on top as you
Thank you for this great video. May I ask what would you save it as so if a client needs to send the document to the printer they would have no trouble rescaling the image in the printing stage.
The path tool is like the pen tool in Illustrator. You turn paths into selections and stroke, etc, but ultimately I think you have to save in a raster format.
None of you guys show the process of getting the actual sketch ONTO the computer. You searched up a sketch, what about your viewers who have sketches of their own...

Awesome! Now, how do I turn into an intro sequence? Like something for a podcast, film, documentary, etc.
If you want the logo to move you eould probably do that in After Effects
Great vid!
Great video! Thank you
Hi and thank you a lot, how did you pass from AP to AI???
also how do you get the Img trace panel ? I don't...
Thx great tutorial ;)
So does Photoshop have this ability to transform sketch into a full vector. If not, I really need to get illustrator because I am missing out!!

GREAT...thanks muchly!!!
why does mine disappear when I click the outer box of my graphic in illustrator?
Why doesn't mine have the tool bar on the tip that you clicked image trace on?
Hi can you convert photo images into vector without using tracing/draw using photoshop and illustrator? I have been struggling with this. Thanks
Thank you, excellent explanation.
Hi, which scanner would you recommend? thanks. tc ;]
It wouldn't matter which scanner you use. You can even take a picture with your phone and would get a similar result.
very informative and good words n nice smile
Is this adobe photoshop that you used?
and Illustrator.
High year does he have for illustrator
thank you so mach bro...
What software are you using to do this?
Photoshop and Illustrator both by ADOBE.
How you made this sketch?
The original one is just from Google search.
is there any way i can turn a roughly sketched logo taken on a picture from my phone cmaera into a vectorized logo
Use a scanner app

take a pic or scan of it duh
Some ppl aren’t as tech savvy so you shouldn’t say duh. They didn’t know so they asked
Take a decent pic of the sketch upload it to Adobe capture, edit it to your best ability then upload it to illustrator and image trace/expand tbh
If you're fancy you can use an image scanner you can buy
You need to take into consideration that many of us have never used photoshop before.
how do you export from PS into AI ?
what version of illustrator are you using? . is there an older version i can download for free?
thank youu
i want to do it but cant understand anything much. wish you could do mine for me :o
8:11 how do you delete the outer box?🤔
just click on it with white arrow then delete it
sorry dude the musics hypnotising
Tedious part...my god, you should have lived back in pre Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator times, days and days of fixing lines with node adjustments.
This it it.
wait a sec! You magically move from Ps to Il on 2:55! Is this a joke!? Why not vectorise it once in Ps then show the process in Il?

This is just so tedious and unnecessary. If you're gonna create a logo as simple as this, just use the pen tool straight on AI, no need to go from PS.
I DIDNT HEAR ANYTHING ABOUT DIGITIZING
