Here’s some chords I played that reminded me of hipster vibes. Pop-punk-esq octave slides and some jazzy notes in drop D on my Fender Jaguar. Let me know what you think!
@@dapoltergeistDirect Input, it just means plugging your guitar straight into your computer to record. This can be done with a 1/4” to USB cable, or an audio interface
Sorry but how can you say it sounds killer? It’s sounds awful!!!! All you can hear is the noise from the strings it’s clearly recorded with a phone. The amp isn’t mic’ed or at least use a DI and some AMP-sim.
interstate 8 mixed with broke mixed with something else I can't place it's the we were dead before the ship even sank era though.... might listen to that whole album and come back.... and see if i found the 3rd song on that album.
it's really more that they come up alot in like indie records, and thus are kinda associated with pretentious or "hipster" records and artists. I'm also sorry to break this to you, but yeah man, most super popular music doesn't use anything beyond triads and power chords. I don't wanna shit in it. But, ya know, just saying.
Basically the first three Biffy Clyro albums!
DAMN that jaguar looks and sounds amazing
The chord voicing kinda reminds me of silversun pickups, i really dig it
so that's how my favorite chords are called
sounds great very built to spill
Doug lives on my street. An influence since I was a teen in the 80s.
@@havable that's so awesome I love built to spill
@@havable thats so cool give him my love
barbarism begins at home
Those chords plus the Fender Jag, kind of reminds me of the first Placebo record. Nicely done.
These are MY chords now and there's nothing you can do about it
Only one suggestion bro… use a DI or mic the amp!! That tone sounds great, I wanna hear it!
Whats a DI?

@@earlymorning00 ok
@@earlymorning00he wasn’t talking to you. No one wants to hear YOUR playing.
And played a jaguar, as hipster as it gets.
Oh man, at one point i had to actually ban myself from using maj7 chords as i was so friggin' reliant on them! 😂
I'm gonna steal these
Pretty guitar!

@@HenrikMoos I suppose he's talking about the riff sounding good, not the actual audio quality
Nothing particularly hipster about those chords. That's a very pretty Jaguar though.
Is there a full song of this somewhere!?
sick it kind of reminds me of modest mouse

They became popular during the hipster era.
Bro got usb charging right on his guitar
Ps Kidding, but I always wondered what they were
look up "jaguar switches explained" there's some great charts in images
specifically the one's on fender's website, reading the article will give u a lot more info

you're right, and I hate them as much as I hate hipsters
Hipsters don’t use octaves and they play a lot slower lol
Complete with the insufferable nerd guitar 😂
why the jm hate? those things can do anything
@@tpeters9256 all in good fun. They’re just very nerd coded
Wtf is a hipster in 2024?
So… people who know how to play chords more advanced than two note power chords or very basic triads are “hipsters”? Is that the implication here?
