Great reaction! Prince is honestly the greatest musician that ever walked the earth! Please react to "All the critics love you in Montreaux" Trust me, guys. Its a fucking amazing performance by Prince
All The Critics Love You In Montreaux has been removed but it blew me away too! Nobody can ever follow this man - for his inventiveness alone! And that video proved it above them all! Pure genius!
The best microcosm of everything great about Prince: soulful vocals, shredding guitar, passion, showmanship, style, band leadership, orchestration, crowd interaction, dramatic exit, and a singular performance that integrates so many different instruments and styles. I will never get tired of it.
This song is a rendition of the slow old slave code song that used to be sung in many black churches long ago, maybe still. Only Prince can remake it as he did.
Love this performance. So glad to see someone react to it. Another one of my favorites is his performance of Cream Live at Webster Hall. Just him, his guitar, and the audience. Charisma, charm, talent, showmanship, these words do not do him justice. RIP sweet Prince, the G.O.A.T.
Prince was a true inspiration to the musical world. A killer falsetto that mesmerized us all. He is sorely missed on the rock/ pop scene. Prince’s personally designed guitar amazing.
What a great reaction. You guys knew when to enjoy and when to watch the performance. Excellent. I would love to see you react to Prince's EMPTY ROOM. Terrific guitar playing!!!
Hi you to are great to watch Price has some much music and his live shows are the best heres a prince gem for you THE MORNING PAPER it really shows his range, keep up the good work thanks.
Wait, didn't his mom actually kick him out at 12?. He went to his Old Man's apartment and he threw him out at 13? 14?. Finally he ended up at Andre Andersons house until he signed with Warner Brothers.
So, I've been thinking about whether or not I should have posted what I did - was I doing it just to start gossip, and... no, that's not it. Prince always said that he didn't need to tell the media his story because his "biographhy, if you will, was already written in his lyrics. Every song, every performance had meaning to him - the emotion drove the music as much as his music drove our emotions. For instance, I've always thought that the crazy-strong emotions he gave us via his Montreaux 2009 performance of "Purple Rain," came from his reaction to Michael Jackson's death. I'm sure it wasn't the only thing, but I've heard from several sources that, after MJ's death, Prince stopped rehearsals for the upcoming gig in Montreaux and locked himself in his room to grieve... and most people think he hated Michael, but I think that kind of shows that he absolutely didn't. After reading Mayte's book, at the point when he bought her a house in Spain (and I'm pretty sure this performance was in Spain) that they were both still struggling with their pain - so when I watch it, I feel so deeply for both of them and I believe that is at least partially where the passion in this concert (there was more than one song) came from, and that was all I was getting at. I was not trying to be disrespectful - I adore Prince (pun maybe intended here - "Adore" would be another great song to listen to...;-). Hopefully I've cleared that up and we can let it go now...
I think this performance happened only a short while after he and Mayte lost their son (and maybe after her subsequent miscarriage?) and that''s where a lot of the emotion came from. He was in a heck of a lot of pain...
Please stop with the speculation. Prince never spoke a public word about that event in their lives, only she did continuously creating falsehoods as we now know. Enjoy his legacy.
@@missy652 I actually wasn’t going to reply, because I don’t one on here to argue, but I do want to let you know that I wasn’t being disrespectful- my heart broke for the two of them … but, you might be right, maybe this is also not the platform for that kind of discussion. I’ll think on it. In the meantime thanks for the response and have a great day 😊
@@rhondaturner9494 No argument whatsoever. That time in his life, he was going through stuff unrelated and I knew of it and it caught me off guard. Nothing you did at all. Peace.
NOBODY could make a guitar cry like prince. Tears of Shred.

I’m so happy that you enjoyed this performance! Thanks for reacting to it 💜💜💜
Someones gotta show them Prince's dance moves now. Maybe if i was your girlfriend next? or housequake?
Once in a generation artist. Not sure we will see the like again. The musician's musician.

2nd voice and bass: the great Larry Graham!
For me this is one of Prince's absolute greatest performances!!
Thanks for your reaction! :))
The lyric at the end -- "just like Richie" -- was a reference to Richie Havens who sang "Motherless Child" at Woodstock.
Absolutely my favorite performance by Prince. RIP. 💜🔥
A great guitarist wish he had played it more often, up there with musical greats
Thanks, more Prince please 💜
