My FIRST Pokemon Platinum SHINY in 2022! (Shiny Pokémon Reaction)

In today's video I'm bringing you guys something a little different than usual! Normally on our channel, we usually shiny hunt on Pokemon games that are usually on the Nintendo Switch like Pokemon Sword and Shield, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Pokemon Legends Arceus, but I figured we could go to some older Pokemon games on the Nintendo DS and Gameboy to do some shiny hunting for one of our Twitch livestreams! In this video specifically, I went back to Pokemon Platinum that came out in 2009 on the Nintendo DS and did my FIRST Shiny Hunt on Platinum and caught our first two Shiny Pokemon on the game! We did a Pokeradar hunt on Gen 4 in the trophy garden for shiny eevee! This was also my first ever PokeRadar hunt that wasn't on Pokemon BDSP, and my first shiny pokemon reaction on Pokemon Platinum as well! We had a ton of fun shiny hunting on Platinum for our livestream, and I hope you guys enjoy our shiny reactions to our new two shiny eevees! We also do some other old pokemon game shiny hunting on our streams from time to time like shiny hunting on Gen 3 on Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, and also on games like FireRed and LeafGreen! I also recently got a Nintendo 3DS Capture Card so I'm hoping to do some Nintendo 3DS Pokemon game shiny hunting too! Let me know what pokemon games I should shiny hunt on next while we wait for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet to come out and do shiny hunting on Gen 9!

For future reference any shiny patch that isnt on the edge has a 100% chance to continue the chain
It being on the edge has a high chance to break the chain no matter the patch, corner pieces are usually the worst
I was going to continue to chain after I caught a shiny but I was to scared that I would accidentally turn off the DS so I saved and broke the chain. At least I got one.
I just started using the poke radar and after a bunch of failed attempt i finally caught my first gen 4 shiny. A Geodude named Geogold.

I did an Eevee chain a while ago in Platinum, I made sure to get one Eevee for each Eeveelution + Eevee itself, it was really cool! I also think I found a full odds shiny Eevee by accident during the chain, because I got it from a Non-shiny patch. Congrats :)

This may be a very ridiculous question! Definitely makes me feel like a fake fan to these games! What is a chain and how do you build them? Now that I’m an adult I’m trying to play them all again and honestly I was so young when I was playing them that all I knew to do was find grass and run in it to fight Pokémon LOL
Chaining is running into the same Pokémon, either knocking out said pkmn or catching it. A chain of 40 yields a 1/200 chance of a shiny patch . A shiny patch is a guaranteed shiny. Look up gen 4 chaining guide if ur interested

@@NoasArks I used to hunt a lot in gen 4 before cute charm and legends arceus, so I remember I used to use synchronize and cute charm to have a specific nature and gender xp
