I don't if this can help, but i found out that to remove this kind of lenses, we should push them down and only after, pinch it and remove. You should pinch the lens when it's on the lower part of the eye, so it's easier to remove it. I had the same problem.

I really enjoy how Precision 1 contacts feel, I can basically wear them all day! Getting them off the eye though is really difficult for me. It gets a little anxiety-inducing after so long of not being able to grip the lens! I def. prefer these over the Acuvue Oasis that I've been prescribed in the past, but at least these are easy to get off the eye, so i'm torn on which to go with.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Honestly, removal of Precision 1 is a concern for some people. To best work around this, make sure your hands are dry and lotion free when removing the lens. Also consider adding a rewetting drop to lubricate the lens and make it easier to remove. Keep us posted on how this goes!

I’m new to wearing contacts & already have dry eyes but these cause me extreme dry eyes just a couple hours in. I’m going to try eye drops made for contacts wearers & see if that helps. I have a 90 day pack & don’t want to waste them. I like the blue tint which helps me see that they’re in my eye. I squish my top lid & bottom lid together & the contacts pop out after a couple tries. That’s the easiest way for me since I have long nails & my eye doctor said it’s okay.

Is it normal that in order to see properly with those I need to wear them with the "laser mark" at 6 o'clock position by default? In other case I see kind of blurry, especially in my left eye which has astigmatism of -1.75.
I know that normally, toric lenses have a "weight" technology which allows the laser mark to go to 6 o'clock position after 1 or 2 minutes of blinking. This does not seems to happen with those...

I am new to using contact lenses and was prescribed Precision 1 daily contacts. They are very comfortable to wear throughout the day. I find them a bit challenging to take out, but it might be because it is a new experience for me. After some trial and error, I found that moving the lens to the lower part of the eye and then gently pinching seems to work pretty well. Overall, very please with the product.

They last about 4-6 hours before getting dry and uncomfortable. I've had no issue getting them out (the monthly lenses were impossible and my roommate had to take them out for me.) I find the Precision 1 lenses to be very comfortable, my eyes stay feeling hydrated and fresh all day. Haven't had difficulties removing them after use. What I have experienced though is that the lenses become blurry if I close my eyes for a while (e.g. while meditating) and that eyedrops or lens solution won't make it better. Very annoying! I was prescribed this lens to try to get me beyond the giant papillary conjunctivitis reaction that I was having to my former daily lenses (after many years of daily wear and moving to a dry environment). Precision 1 feels amazing, but they are very difficult to remove. VERY difficult, to the point where I think I may have to stop wearing them and lose the money I spent on them. If you come up with any tips, I'd appreciate them. I miss just being able to easy pinch out my contacts.

This is a common complaint about both Precision 1 and Dailies Total 1. Here is what I advise patients on how to best handle these lenses:
      1) Dump the lens out of its packaging into your hand instead of trying to remove it from its packaging.
      2) Make sure your hands are completely dry when putting in and taking out these lenses and do not use hand lotion around the time of doing so.
      3) If you’re having trouble getting the lenses out, try pulling them to the side of your eye and blinking them out.

I have been wearing contacts for years and I love the comfort of these but they are very difficult to remove. I wear one contact for reading and the other one for distance also uses a lens for astigmatism. That one is nearly impossible to remove because it is larger and clings to my eye. I am going to return them because I am worried that I will damage my eye trying to scrape these out of my eyes. I have never had this much trouble with 20 years of wearing contacts.

**UPDATE** These contacts suck. I wore them every day for 3 months and switched to Acuvue 1 day moist. The precision 1 lenses were drying out throughout the day and my vision was blurring all the time. They would also stick to my eyelids when I blinked and move around because they were so dry all the time. After opening up the box with dailies I was so disappointed, I can't describe how I struggled. They just don't fit in! This video and the comments are all from years ago but even in 2023 there has been nothing done to address this issue. And yes I’ve tried every trick in the book, fingers very dry, tried rewetting the eyes, tried drying out the eyes, tried pulling down, tried pulling left and right, tried blinking them out, tried looking up and pinching, tried looking straight forward and pinching. I've heard that quite a few people don't find the Total 1's all that comfortable at the end of the day 👀. It seems opticians are quick to recommend silicon hydrogels over the traditional hydrogels...they may give the eyes more oxygen but various reports have shown they can cause other complications. @@markchandler7085 Oh definitely, everyone's eyes are different. I actually used only 4 contacts of my Acuvue TruEye trial pack and had to throw the remaining 6 out. If I remember correctly, TruEye is one of those silicon hydrogels contacts? I don't know if I am allergic to the lens material or the additive in the saline buffer solution, but my eyes were stinging and I had to take the lenses out after 20 minutes. When this happened two days in a row, I was like, no, I can't use these. And despite the fact that I like Total 1 very much, I only wear them when I go out. When I am at home all day long, I wear my prescription glasses. Nothing beats having the eyes getting the oxygen directly from the air! I don't know about other people, but I had worn Total 1 for 19 hours a few times because I thought, my eyes would be ok because these lenses let a lot of oxygen in. But I think the lenses were also dirtier due to the longer wear time. So I was solving one problem by creating a new problem. The good news is, I don't wear contact lenses that many hours in one setting anymore :-)

Same! Idk how some people dont have issues. Also the high water content in these contacts are bad for people who suffer from dry eyes. These were a nightmare for my eyes, caused them to be dry and wouldnt come out

FOR EVERYONE HAVING A PANIC ATTACK. YOU WILL GET IT OUT.
This are more slippery than usual, after an hour and 2 mental breakdowns do the following.
    1) wash hands and dry until they’re so dry it looks like grandmas skin. I mean absolutely bone dry.
    2) do not add wetting drops, they’re already way too slippery making it more wet is just going to make it slide around.
    3) use bone dry index finger and pull down slightly, use same hand thumb and pinch the lens. It should fold and come right out.
    4) stop having panic attack.
If your pinch is not working just add a little more pressure. This requires more pressure to remove than the acuve oasis. All I did was just push and pinch slightly harder than usual and it came out first try with added pressure. I was grabbing it with the same force as usual and obviously this doesn’t work for this pieces of shet

Heres my experience: it was my first time trying this brand for astigmatism. They felt so comfortable and like i had nothing on my eye. The nightmare came when i had to take them out! I been wearing contacts for 10 years so yes i knew every trick in the book. The lenses are so thin and moist, that it was impossible to take out. My left eye turned very red and inflammed after only trying to take them out 3 times. I finally got them out after massaging my eyelid and trying to create an air pocket in the lense. BINGO got them suckers out. However my eyes were DRY and RED after. These lenses have high water content which is NOT recommended for people with dry eyes. Look it up. No wonder my eyes feel like a sahara desert right now. Interesting though because while wearing them, my eyes felt fine. It was only after removal did everything turn awful. I will stick to my air optixs! Anyone else with the same experience? Would love to hear it

oh wow I’m sorry to hear that! i too have gotten this brand and use the toric lenses for astigmatism, and they are quite difficult to take out, but i can usually get them both out within 5 minutes. im only about 2 weeks in on using them and i myself have not experienced the dryness or redness afterwards. im sorry you experienced that! sounds painful. hopefully you can find the right brand for your eyes

these literally do not come out of my eyes at the end of the day. I will have to spend spend 20 minutes scratching my eye to get them out and I have. I have worn contacts for 7 years and I have never had any problems with any other brand.

This is a common complaint for Precision1 and Dailies Total1. Pro tip - make sure you have dry fingers when inserting and removing the lens.

It's the worst lense to get out.
I was used to Daily acuvue for years, tried Precision one and nearly freaked out not being able to grip the freaking lense. My eyeball hurts now....even pulling it down is an effort as it slips up very quickly.
    Nuh. Thanks

I had the same problem. I have worn contacts since I was 15 and have NEVER had that problem before. I also work in the eye field and have tried many different brands and this is definitely one I will never use again. I'm going to talk to our rep when he comes in about it. It's crazy how the texture is. Another rep tried them and had the same problem.

I have been wearing contacts for almost 20 years and consider myself a pro. I never need a mirror to put in or take out my contacts. With these, I had no issues putting them in but I struggled to get them out. They were easy to move around but I could not get them to release my eye. I've never had such a struggle removing contacts before. I can only imagine the anxiety this would give someone who is just starting out wearing contacts. The only way I could remove them was to shove it in the corner of my eye to create a pocket of air to grab them which was not pleasant. I'm sad because overall these were still very comfortable after 8 hours of use. If the handling could be improved these would be amazing.

@@allisonfranks9567 it’s the opposite for me. They’re super comfortable and easy to remove that i dont need a mirror when removing them. I just have to make sure that my fingers ARE SUPER DRY or else they wont come off.
