This is really a romantic story.. and I love Thailand myself too. However I have to point out this video was similar to the "Taiwan's youth travel video" done in 2010. If you search "2010 Youth Travel in Taiwan- Let's be friends " on youtube you can find similar stories. But I think This thai director make it even better.

@TheSubeye your right it isnt and im not denying that this somehow shows an essence of being a thai.true, no one on this earth smiles 24/7 and yes, this is seriously the way most thais are(which attracts foreigners) were not called "the land of smiles" for no reason.also your comment saying "forever in an infantile state, unable to think, speak, and act" is quite rude and offensive. most thai's would say "if you have nothing nice to say, just say nothing at all"

Does Taiwanese sound like Japanese? I heard the girl say 'Watashi' earlier on, which is 'I? in Japanese. Everything else she said sounded Japanese-ee. Or was she a Japanese tourist who understood Taiwanese? ;)

@TheSubeye but we ARE orientals..stereotypes are base on some what the truth. The reason Thai's doesn't find the stereotype offensive is because we don't view it as "patronizing." We are proud to be the way we are. I just find your look on this so unnescessarily pestimistic. So let me just point out the optimistic side lol; this video shows the beauty of Thailand that makes us unlike any other, how we live with extreme culturalism alongside our modernized cities (ex. temples right beside a 7/11)
