I have over a thousand .mp3 files on my drive playing in random order and eventually realized that not all songs played. I found that (at least 2020 Toyota Rav4, but most likely all) only 255 files are supported per-folder. I ended up creating folders and putting 250 files in each of the 4 folders. I then put it to play random through all folders.
