In my youth, when these bikes were new, I was led to believe that a 2 stroke motorcycle needed a separate exchuast for each of it's barrels, otherwise it would not work at it's best, and would have a loss of power.
Superb!! Loved it, what a sound, stereo too. Now wishing I had a time machine and could go back to 1979 and get my old Kettle back. In the last 18 months, and through Facebook, I have discovered my old Kettle is apparently languishing inside an old shed about 5 miles if that from where I live. The chap I sold it too way back in 79 still has it, but in poor condition I believe, I have asked him to send photos, but alas, nothing as ever materialised as yet. He is recovering from cancer and I dare say has bigger fish to fry right now other than taking photos of an old bike. Maybe one day, I might just get to see the old girl once again. :-)
😂i think not.. original they have around 64hp or so. And the suzuki Tr750 (the race gt750) back in the day had around 120hp.. please show us your dads bike.
Not just with the pipes. They were 67hp in the first gen (which I own) and upped to 73 by the 1977 model yr. He'd have to have other mods done and even then that's a bit of a stretch. For context my 2004 R6 has 123 hp...at 13k rpm lol.

Love those bikes! I have now GT 380 and before also GT 550. When I grown up, I will buy GT 750🤔😁. Age now only 60 yrs..
The 380 and 550 are more fun to ride than a 750. I have a 750 but its not so playfull as the 380/550 they are more fun to ride.
