- Finally getting closer to throwing this engine back in the bus. In this episode I get rid of the rusty old pressure plate and flywheel that have sitting outside in the rain. I replace them with new ones and a new clutch disc. I then check the end-play. Watch til the end to see the surprise.
You’re charging hard on that Thing man I love it. Bunch of nice tools there, but that torque multiplier makes me warm and fuzzy every time I use it😂. Bet you were glad you had it!🤙🏼

awesome job. What made you want to replace the clutch?.
Mainly the $1,800 dollars I spent on the transmission. I didn’t want to spend all that money and then put an old clutch back in. But also because I left my engine sitting outside for months and it got all rusty. I saved it so it still might be good after I clean it up. I’ll save it as a back up or sell it at a swapmeet.

Hey did you run it without the 3 flywheel shims? You need 3 and add them up and leave leave 3-7 thousandths end play on the flywheel.
Yeah I used three shims. It should be in this video.
Ah saw you do the math. Measuring the end play after the install isn’t in there.
You probably figured out by now the spec with no spacer on even a new engine is 34-42 and you need the spacers to adjust(that’s why its a kit with different sizes ) to 3-7 , depending on who you believe. 😅
@@sdfilmfolks ah ok good to know. Maybe my case is still good. I’m still having issues though. My main seal is leaking and causing clutch to slip. I must have did the seal wrong.
