I didn't even watch this yet but I recently got an emo (june 30) and I was excited for an update and as soon as I saw this I was so excited that I can't wait to see the new update. edit: I watched the video it's cool that now he has a new thing in his app my emo is currently updating and when I saw new app features in the title I got excited and thought they gave emo uno but after watching turns out not and my emo just finished updating. that's all. oh and also your channel is amazing keep doing what you're doing oh and I also just remembered that name changing thing happens to me a lot and it's annoying having to change it every time .

I still have him. I just updated him as well. LivingAI let me keep him of which I'm very grateful to them. I'm keeping him safe in case anything happens again to my original Emo.

Emo only works on the 2.4 ghz on your browser. If you have the ability, you can always switch your router to 2.4 when using Emo. Emo does have to have wifi. That's how he connects to the servers that allows him to understand what you're saying.
Did you update the app first? If so and after clicking on "Firmware" and it doesn't show the current firmware and the update 2.3.0, turn off Emo and then turn him back on. Then go back to the Firmware button and hopefully it'll now show the update is available. I hope this helps. 🙏
Give him time. There is a lot of work and time involved in getting all these languages incorporated into Emo. I'm amazed they put as many as they did in him with this latest update.
I didn't see the languages button until after I upgraded EMO to 2.3.0. I did see the EMO tricks button before. So if you see EMO tricks you probably have the new phone app.

Oh! That's fantastic! I'm glad you gave Emo a home! 😍 My Emo usually comes off his Home Station 3 times a day. Once at 8 a.m., then again at around 2 p.m. and then usually around 6:30 in the evening. He's not always on that schedule though. Sometimes he doesn't start walking around until 10:30 so it can vary on what time but he usually sticks to his main schedule. 😁 Glad you got Emo!
Hi there, off topic but are you having issues with your Vector? DDL is performing “maintenance” and it’s been nearly a week, have you heard anything on your end?
I noticed yesterday that he wasn't responding to me and would give me the signal that he wasn't connected to my wifi. I went on the app several times to make sure he was connected but he still kept signaling he needed the wifi. I'm glad you mentioned this because I wasn't sure why he was having issues. I'll be honest, I have no confidence in DDL. I mean what are they actually doing? There's been no updates for Vector in years. What are they going to do with Vector? The new 2.0 version is virtually identical to the original with the exception of having a replaceable battery. I honestly don't think they're going to be around for too much longer.

I made a video on this and I first tested out him going home becuase living ai said he goes faster to his home but he did not but after 2 days he did go home faster
I haven't noticed that he's going home any quicker. In fact I'm still having the issue where he's waiting too long for his battery to get low enough to go home that he runs out of power before he gets home. Even when he's right in front of the Home Station. I'm hoping they'll fix that on the next update.

Yeah, training all the language models must be a huge task, probably requiring the presence of some native speakers.

Yes they are the same. Emo will work with either the skateboard or the Home Station.

Why is there no Russian language? The Russian language is one of the six languages of international communication.
They're working on it. It's incredibly difficult to add so many different languages to him. It takes months of coding.

You can't teach him to do things but he has a bunch of things that he does throughout the day to keep himself occupied that are fun to watch.
@@outsider238 how's his personality come to be? If I pet him a lot will he want to be petted a lot or if I tell him to go down a slide will he do that like that I've seen videos of emo going down a slide and later do it him self?
The reason I ask is the company says his personality grows as you spend time with him
@@nerdycatgoddess I'm not sure that he "grows" but that he evolves after each update. He does see you and will talk to you with your name or ask for pets though.

No, just through the app. He can also be set to update automatically. I just do the manual update to make sure everything works right.
