You said in the video that the auto focus is good, but in your own video and others I've seen for this product, any slight movement will cause the camera to start hunting for focus. Using manual focus seems to be the way to go.
Returned my Avermedia 513 (Also $200) for this and right away I was 100% happier with the Kiyo pro even with out of the box settings. IF you are trying to decide between the 513 and the K-Pro...get the K-Pro its not even a fair fight.
was hesitant at first due to my experience of razer having poor durability. As to my surprise this kiyo pro actually is very sturdy and its heavy, also the cam quality really sealed the deal in for me. 10/10
Great review - been using one for a few weeks for mostly work video calls and I’ve been thrilled with the image quality. I have it on on a Joby which works really well for getting a nice height depending on chairs, where the laptop is, etc.
Be aware that the settings application for the Kiyo Pro (Razer Synapse 3) is not available on Apple MacOS; thus many of this webcam’s features will not be available.
@@visionscaper thank you. I'm looking for logitech brio 4k, it seems Razer is better but without software working not sure how better would be. Thank you.
Honestly, people should consider the "Iriun Webcam" software on Android. Even if the Razer Kiyo Pro has best-in-class quality over other webcams it can't hold a candle against your phone. The Positives: + Quality is absolutely spectacular + High resolution and high frame rates if your phone supports it (1080p up to 2160p (4K) at 60fps) + All camera characteristics of the phone remain (bokeh, focus, zoom etc.) + Wifi & USB-capable. I recommend using USB since you combine a stable data transfer + charging your phone. To enable USB-mode you setup your phone as a developer... tap 5 times on the Settings > About Phone > "Build Number" and then enable USB-debugging The negatives: - It isn't free, however, neither are webcams. The pro version cost around 5EUR (otherwise you are limited to 5 minutes) - a couple of frames delay - occupies the phone during recording/conversation and it becomes fiddly if somebody texts or calls. Best scenario. If you have an extra android phone laying around, perhaps a good one with a cracked screen but good camera, it's a perfect application. I can highly recommend to try the software.
Thank you for your preview. I bought one of these. It's very god web camera, fantastic performance and quality. Probably one of the best. Like most webcameras include Build-in microphones both sides. My best recomendations.

Wish you would have compared the kiyo pro to the Original Kiyo that I own to see if its worth buying at $199.99. I don't mind spending that amount of money on a new Webcam but I feel that removing the led light from Version 2 was not a great move. Thanks for your review 😊👊
@@DARKNINJA1555 yeah, I started to do that immediately after Razer Dropped the video on the new Kiyo Pro. As of right now that textured ring around the Webcam that used to adjust the led for the Kiyo version 1 is there only for design, it doesn't move and you can't adjust the focus with it either and autofocus isn't that great on the pro version. So I really wish someone would do a comparison video on the original kiyo vs the pro version. Looks like I gotta keep looking around lol
I got the basic one today not the pro, it looks super sleek, heavy well built, but!! The basic doesnt come with a lens cap, and the usb cord is NOT removable, so your stuck with the length of the stock cable
I don't think this review properly showcased the webcam. We need to see it under ideal circumstances. Proper lighting, 60 fps (video shot in 30), and fuily tweaked. This review made it look like a slightly better laptop webcam.
Thanks for this really helped as I'm using it on my mac but also have access to a Windows laptop and OBS on mac. Hopefully they bring out a mac version of the software soon
No, unfortunately they removed the light which i think is a mistake, the ring that rotates the led on the Original Kiyo Webcam is simply a design on the pro version that does nothing, meaning it's just a design and doesn't move. They could have used that ring to manually adjust the focus on the camera with out having to use the Synapse software. I have the (kiyo Webcam original) and I can't get the Synapse to recognize to camera to make any adjustments at all. To change my camera to 1080P I have to go under camera settings on my windows 7 pro 64bit pc not sure if this is happening because its windows 7 but everything else that I own from razer from the Huntsman Elite keyboard, Mamba Elite mouse, the New headphone stand, the chroma mouse pad and even the Nari ultimate Headphones with the haptic feedback works 100% with the Synapse.

Man, it's just a webcam. DSLR cameras have powerful chips to handle the huge amount of data that comes to them. Webcams don't. There's not going to be any miracle. A webcam's a webcam, we know what it does. Look at how pitifully it behaves when you dig for the settings, when you try anything but "perfect light in", when you try to make it do what it can't. It's just a webcam. Shoot one scene in 1080p 60fps, shoot one in 4K 30fps, show how it looks, and there you go. Job done.
