    Hi, I’m Krista! I make math courses to keep you from banging your head against the wall. ;)
    Math class was always so frustrating for me. I’d go to a class, spend hours on homework, and three days later have an “Ah-ha!” moment about how the problems worked that could have slashed my homework time in half. I’d think, “WHY didn’t my teacher just tell me this in the first place?!”
    So I started tutoring to keep other people out of the same aggravating, time-sucking cycle. Since then, I’ve recorded tons of videos and written out cheat-sheet style notes and formula sheets to help every math student-from basic middle school classes to advanced college calculus-figure out what’s going on, understand the important concepts, and pass their classes, once and for all. I don't understand WHY we take the dot product after we find the cross product ? Why do we do this??

    • @carloskruut423
      @carloskruut423 6 месяцев назад

      The reason you take the dot product after the cross product is to get a scalar product. As the cross product gives you a vector product, when you take the dot product you get a scalar product meaning it only has magnitude (no direction) which is a numerical value such as 6 for example.

    Also what happens to the coordinate of the vectors when we use Q as the reference?

    I have a question could this work as well ---> PQXPR "dot" PS ?

    • @DaCom3AK
      @DaCom3AK 4 года назад

      yes because you could replace i j k in the matrix with the values of PS so then when you solved the matrix you would get the same answer

    What happens when you change the order of the cross and dot product? For instance - |PS * (PQ x PR)| is it equal to |PQ * (PR x PS)| ?

    • @Kay-dx8vm
      @Kay-dx8vm 5 лет назад +13

      I know this question has been a year, but I will go ahead and answer in case someone needs it. If you change the order between the 3 vectors, you only change the sign of the result, but we take the absolute value to find its volume so it does not matter how you range those three vectors

    Lets say we were not given the point S, but were given a point T which is not connected to P. How can I solve that?
