    That’s freaking awesome! I love how the copper pipes are exposed… I love the farm house style but the pipes give it the industrialized touch.

    Love the creativity. You might experiment with boiled linseed oil for the wood. It is a natural hypoallergenic product that soaks into the wood and protects it from moisture.this will prevent darkening from mold. The oil will darken the wood only slightly. It also has a nice smell when you use it and t is cheap and goes a long way. Your bathroom would have used a quart which cost about 15 dollars.
    It can also be applied to metal to prevent rust. It takes longer to dry on metal.
    Bravo on your great project.

    Love how you continued the copper shower curtain rod around in a coil like that! Looks great! Did you caulk down at the bottom of the corrugated metal where it rests at the base of the tub? Just wondering if there’s an isssue at all with moisture getting up behind the panel at all or not.

    Plumber here love the look but a couple pointers.. without a vent before your ptrap all the water will be siphoned out of trap and allow sewer gas to travel up through drain. Also copper and any steel especially galvanized must never touch, Galvanic corrosion will eat the copper.

    Hi guys. I'm going to use the same type of trough. I love the idea of cutting it down and having it welded flat at the end. May I ask why you got rid of it and went with tile? Thank you for your time :).

    • @loveinatincanclintericka
      @loveinatincanclintericka  6 лет назад +2

      Sure! We liked the shower but something happened with the metal where it develop this weird white film on it. No matter how much we cleaned or scrubbed it, it wouldn’t come off. So it just looked dirty all the time. Also the horse trough tub was great for our small budget at the time and we got to the point where we just felt like we wanted an upgrade. I really enjoy changing things up in here. :-)

    Hi! Is your drain flush with the tub? I love it but had to take mine out cause drain was about 1/2 inch up and wouldn't drain all the water. About an inch of water!!

    • @loveinatincanclintericka
      @loveinatincanclintericka  6 лет назад

      No, it’s not flush. We actually hammered the edges of the hole cutout where the drain would fit in before we installed it. So it kind of had a center “slope” and most of the water drained out. :) We’ve since updated our shower though to tile. Check out our updated shower vid. 👍

    • @tinapruitt2020
