NOTE / PSA: you have to release L2 (Weapons Art) in between every draw for it to pass through the fog. Holding down L2 will not keep the weapons art going with each and every draw and will result in the arrow stopping at the fog wall. Also the aim is a fair distance south of center from his flaming sword. Hope this helps. BTW, I ran out of arrows due to you only being able to hold 30 and being that I missed 5 arrow attempts I ran out and went in for the kill with like 2 swings. Can confirm that this method works with Cinder (August 2023), took me 46 Dragonslayer Greatarrows, doing 451 damage (50STR, 25DEX) with Hawk Ring. I had to re aim a few times, probably missed with about 10 arrows, he staggers quite a bit. You have to aim very low.

Still works on XBOX but you have to shoot the arrow with the animation…aim with the reticule but shoot with LT/RB. The issue I am having is his moving after a few hits. I am unable to find him again. Annoying.
I can get this strategy started but as soon as he moves I can’t seem to find him again for the most part. Is there a set pattern as to which way he moves to make re-targeting him easier? Or better yet am I missing a secret to seeing his location through the fog wall? Frustrated!
@@Tizona It works but is NOT reliable. He doesnt move ''sometimes'' he moves like every other shot and I have readjust every other shot and thus miss half my shots never killing him. if I go in for the final blow, he starts his second phase instead.

I am so frustrated I am about to cry. I am stuck here, cant afford ps plus so cant have real people help and I missed the quest lines and so no npc summons. I tried this cheese 3 times now, farming souls for it and wasting time. And every time I run out of arrows before I'm even halfway his second phase. I have 40 strenght, 5+ bow. Its not a damage issue. Its a missing the mark issue. And it's not missing 10 times before finding him. I find him, shoot, hit, shoot again, hit again, shoot again, miss because he moved, shoot again hit again, shoot again miss because he moved again, miss again because I misjudged the distance, hit again, miss again because he moved again.. Like I dont see him move nearly as much in vids like this. Am I just unlucky? Has there been a patch? Or is everyone readjusting their aim every 2 shots before firing? Like is there a tell he moved before you shoot? I am actualy crying now. I am not having fun anymore. It sucks not being able to beat the boss and I hate leaving a game unfinnished. Especialy so close to the end. But I am actualy getting sick of the stress now. This is why easy mode needs to exist. Not everyone is capable of the same things. My reaction speed just sucks, and appearently so does my aim. I cant do it. I just cant. Even the cheese is to hard with the arrow limits as I miss half the shots if not more. Especialy in th second phase I struggle real bad to get proper aim. I miss at least2 third of the shots. A npc summon should ALWAYS be there and not locked behind hidden quests.. Game ruined. And so is my desire to try any other fromsoft game. I did DS1 and DS2 dlc included and had a lot of fun with both of them. DS3 has soured me on these type of games now.
When using the Millwood bow. Left trigger to do weapon art. I had to release left trigger and right trigger at the same time. (Which ever button has your arrows)
make sure you charge it up all the way before you release it, it takes a good couple seconds, hold LT then hold RB until you hear it pull all the way back, trust me it works
They even not explode like in your video.. don't get it where the problem. Is. I charge it up how long i can but even on the ground the arrows don't explode. I got the captains ash to buy the arrows..
I still like DS3 level design and music more than Elden ring, but thanks marika's tits they made things like a fcking DEFENSE BUFFS in ER which every souls game lacks, with full buffs and lion claw you could face tank almost everything, but in other games you get 1-2 shotted in light armor and 2-3 shotted in heavy armor and in DS3 they made everything so fucking fast with infinite stamina without giving you a fucking second to heal

You are stating that the millwood cheese does not work for Cinder, I asked whether it works for you with Dancer and with Prince Lothric, because I can confirm that it definitely works for them. If you cannot get it to work with Dancer and/or Lothric, then the issue is you. I have not tried it with Cinder, but do not see why it would not work. I will try it soon to check though.
This isn't hate, I just don't see why someone would cheese the boss. The Soul of Cinder was so surreal to me, and when I heard the phase 2 boss fight music, I was so hype. Either way, nice cheese.
@@ObeyCamp It isn’t hard😂, extremely fair boss with many openings to attack. I had a harder time with Twin Princes. Souls of cinder was underwhelming in terms of difficulty.
I feel you. I’m going through making guides on the majority of the bosses in DS3 and thought this strat was pretty interesting. Cinder is very easy to beat normally tho lol

yes this does still work, if he’s not taking damage then the explosion isn’t close enough. it’d pretty tedious but it does work

only use the weapon art and not the normal arrow shooting button you should try using your heavy attack with the bow and arrows equipped
