Finally, after 3 years of using my S10 5G, I bought this as my daily phone. It is a beast. My S10 5G still works fine, using it as my back up phone now. My last Note series was the Note 9.
I'm upgrading from my LG G8X to the S22 ultra and im so extremely excited! Its my first new phone is over 5 years. This phone looks like a legendary device ✌️
Same in 2012. I had Iphone 2g. The restricitveness meant I had to jailbreak it to receive cool stuff. But then I found out new apps were not released on old OS. So I bought a Galaxy Tab 2 7 inch tablet with the possibility of being used as a phone. It had Adobe flash (this was pretty awesome back then). And all old and new apps were available to me. But, then Goooogle bought Android. And now updates are limited for 2 years. There is never freedom.
The foldables are actually doing surprisingly well. I still can't figure out who the target buyer is but they are being bought which is why Samsung axed the Note series completely. Smart imo.
Loving mine. Go t it yesterday, so today is my first full day using it after set up. So far I reckon the battery is far superior to my "old" Note20U. Hopefully as the device learns my use it'll get better.
As I'm waiting for mine , I'm still using my note 30 ultra 5G. My questions to you are: How do you compare the usage between both devices? What storage did you get since Samsung removed the SD card slot? Do you see the s22 ultra 5G as a better upgrade? Or would you recommend keeping the note 20 ultra 5G? Any buyer's remorse, or are you satisfied with the new device? How do you like the S Pen usage for each device? Does the battery for the s22 ultra 5G last longer in real-life usage than the Note20 ultra 5G? I know I'm asking a lot if questions because I never used the cloud storage because of the SD card slot, and I've been a note user since the note 2. Thanks for your feedback
@@zogadwoe I have note 20 ultra and got my s22 ultra 02/23/22 and I been testing it out, I didn't hear a big difference on sound on mine watching same movie true plex server, image on note 20 was more brilliant, on pictures taken by camera im disappointed some pictures look better and others don't, night pictures s22 ultra es better no doubt but the rest some pictures taken by note 20 ultra look better, the benefit s22 can take raw pictures that's a plus on daytime pictures since you can edit very good but not sure if it is worth the upgrade, I have to trade in my note 20 ultra or return the s22 ultra I'm still not sure if keeping my note 20 ultra or the s22 ultra
Thank god,I preserved d phone n cancelled it after comparing d video clariy n display content....video clarity sucks in d bright sun light n if u zoom in @juz 1 x, u will loose d clarity n details..my old samsung note 8 captures brighter video in d night with less noise compared to modern s22 ultra's bull shit night video capabilities....if u capture a lot of video's, please don't buy this phone, this phone performs only on zoom n photos...think twice

One thing I'm missing from my S9+ that I haven't been able to locate on my S22 Ultra is the ability to see the image resolution alongside the aspect ratio within the camera settings menu

I was the same but many reviewers after owning the Pixel 6 Pro for a few months say it's full of bugs and keeps getting worse. I want stock Android so haven't considered this due to the bugs, but might have to put up with Samsung's controlling apps to have this Ultra instead. Hmmm...
it's not a hoax u need 2 get new 45 watt charger 2022 model optimized 4 s22 ultra.. it works pretty fast from like 5%-100% in 40 min on my phone compared 2 65 min with 25 watt..
@@mraiman6571 no. You can get from 0 to 50% in less than 30 minutes (I've actually tested this) which is still amazing but you won't get from 0 to 100% in 40 minutes
it's not a hoax. you need to purchase the 45W charger (super fast charging 2.0). and this video has a few errors to begin with - the phone doesn't go up to 1250nits, it goes to 1750. the main camera isn't 12mp, it's 108mp. those are just a few i could remember, they're minor, but idk if this review can be considered "thorough and objective"
@@zixiais if they only got 1250 nits, it means the phone only goes that much. Just because samsung advertises 1750 nits doesnt mean they also will reach that lol. Also, just because it has a 108mp doesn't mean it will actually take shots in that mode

Thank you for a very informative review. I was a devout Samsung user until I was convinced by my job to try an I- phone and I did willingly purchase a 13 Pro-Max. Flash forward three months later I purchased the S22 Ultra to go back. I am not a big tech junkie but the stylus pen and the camera options sold. I will get it when I get back from my next trip and put it to work. I am not going to bash Apple because it works but had to push too many buttons to complete tasks I can do easily with Android.

Bro, I request you Tech youtubers to talk more about a Samsung display failure scam due to software update. Sudden green line out of nowhere. Service centre agrees that many mobiles are suffering this issue due to software update and they are ready to replace screen for free if head office VOC team agrees. But, VOC TEAM rejected my case saying that it was due to impact damage. This is completely absurd. Because the service centre has sent a report of my mobile (sought by HO team) where in they have clearly mentioned the issue as TECHNICAL ISSUE. But HO team falsely closing cases individually even though I have submitted screenshots of similar problems from Samsung members forum. Another interesting event. As soon as I told customer care executive that my display has a green line, he did not ask me if I dropped my mobile. Rather, he asked me an interesting question. DID YOU UPDATE YOUR MOBILE TO LATEST SOFTWARE PROVIDED BY SAMSUNG? Strange right? U say that ur display failed and he asks about software update. Yet Samsung pretends individually that it is unaware of this global display quality issue. Shame on you Samsung. I feel this is huge scam. There are various news articles on the internet regarding this. Samsung members forum is filled with this issue. Yet Samsung pretends.
Not sure if to upgrade from a s21 ultra. The look on the s21 is much better in my opinion. But $850 credit plus $100 play store card and other goodies make it kinda hard to pass

It really looks like a great phone. I never owned a Note or Galaxy S series phone, but I had a chance to use them before and I was always amazed, so I'm considering to pick up S22 Ultra now, but I'm really not sure if is it worth it to upgrade from Xiaomi 10T Pro to this one, since 10T Pro is still a very good phone.
@@peteto818 I'm still using mine, but I mostly hate it because of buggy MIUI and lack of proximity sensor. I really hate it when screen turns on randomly in the middle of the call. There is also a white dot that appeared on my screen and it looks like I pressed something against it but that's not the case. It's small so I don't mind it, but I notice it. I also miss amoled screen, since I had phones with it before and difference in colors is noticeable when you compare Galaxy S line phone with this one, but in every day usage it's fine. It only lacks some better sunlight visibility. And if you ask me about upgrading, I will probably do it soon, but I was taking a look at Note 20 Ultra, which is still a great phone, but prices are like half of S22 Ultra, so I have my eyes on that one. S22 Ultra is just too expensive, and I really doubt that I will get it, to be honest.

Figure out a long-term upgrade frequency which works for you. Don't worry about what new devices might be out until it's time to upgrade.
I think in terms of design , s21 > s22

It really looks like a great phone. I never owned a Note or Galaxy S series phone, but I had a chance to use them before and I was always amazed, so I'm considering to pick up S22 Ultra now, but I'm really not sure if is it worth it to upgrade from Xiaomi 10T Pro to this one, since 10T Pro is still a very good phone.

Are you happy with 10T pro? I hate mine, the miui is awful and the camera lacks in focus so I'll definitely be upgrading.
@@peteto818 I'm still using mine, but I mostly hate it because of buggy MIUI and lack of proximity sensor. I really hate it when screen turns on randomly in the middle of the call. There is also a white dot that appeared on my screen and it looks like I pressed something against it but that's not the case. It's small so I don't mind it, but I notice it. I also miss amoled screen, since I had phones with it before and difference in colors is noticeable when you compare Galaxy S line phone with this one, but in every day usage it's fine. It only lacks some better sunlight visibility. And if you ask me about upgrading, I will probably do it soon, but I was taking a look at Note 20 Ultra, which is still a great phone, but prices are like half of S22 Ultra, so I have my eyes on that one. S22 Ultra is just too expensive, and I really doubt that I will get it, to be honest.
