Thank you so much for sharing the mistake you made and showing how to fix it! Can't tell you how many times I've lost a row for that exact thing. Love your humility!
You are such a great teacher, love the details you shared, plus showing how to fix mistakes on camera, perfect. Beautiful stitch that absolutely looks like knit, love it! Thank you so much for sharing
Toni, my heavens you are SUCH a good teacher. Your video quality is so crisp and sharp. Your explanations are excellent. You anticipate problems where crocheters could mess us and take the time to explain, warn, help. I just cannot thank you enough for your attention to detail - a natural-born teacher! Loved watching this one. I have done the Tunisian Simple Stitch before but not much other than that one. Once I finish some of my WIPs, I think I'll give this one a try - it makes such a lovely pattern and really doesn't seem too difficult once you get going! Thanks so much!
You are absolutely amazing!!! You are my favorite teacher of Tunisian !!! This was a real bugaboo stitch!! I really wanted to learn this but no one could teach it so I can see it!!! You’re the master of Tunisian !!❤❤❤❤
Toni, you are a phenomenal teacher! Your pace and instructions are perfect for new crocheters. I find myself recommending your website to many people. Thanks for bringing the joy of crochet to the public!
Doesn't look like it curls as much as some other stitches. Girl, you're the BEST crochet teacher on RUclips! I'm fairly new but so far I can follow all of these new stitch videos with ease. Thank you again so much! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Toni! You're an excellent instructor. As soon as I saw the email about this stitch I had to grab my yarn and hook and try it immediately. It's beutiful on the front and the back side!!!!!
I always say the return pass is the same. You just proved me wrong. And I love it! I messed up a gift for a friend. I have to hit my stash and work this up instead. Love your tutorials. Always clear. Always fun.
My mother in law sent me a Tunisian crochet hook set for Christmas. Yes, I opened it early. I think this will be my first attempt! Thank you for showing simple, clear instruction.
Your tutorial is one of the best I have come across. I taught myself how to crochet the basic stitches but have never understood patterns to read them. I have a new respect for crocheting and am back at it. Tha k you.
You are an amazing teacher!! I have not done Tunisian crochet in over 50 years, but saw your video on Tunisian chevron stitch and decided that my temperature blanket celebrating my 80th year needed to be done in this stitch! Have a new set of hooks and my blanket is underway!! TY for your inspiration and wonderful instruction!! Might need a scarf in this rib stitch!!! Gorgeous!
I want to thank you so much for your tutorials. I received a Tunisian Hook and book at our Guild Holiday gift exchange but after doing a lot of tidying up they were lost. My friend bought a set and wanted to learn too. We sat and watched your masterful tutorial and I ordered a set of needles They arrived yesterday and I sat ( disregarding all the demands of humans, cat, dishes, meal preparation and dogs ) and made this swatch. This is some of my hand spun that I had dyed. It is a very hard wearing corse wool but perfect for a pot holder. Even though the material is thicker than knitting, I’m going make another one and crochet them together to make a double thickness and to reinforce the new skills. I’ve been trying to come up with project ideas for my Long (corse ) Wool sheep raisers. I also need a light blocking draft protector Curtians and think that Tunisian Crochet can provide. I’m totally ADD but your calm and through instructions were amazing thank you. I’ve shared your channel information with my spinning guild and already there is a lot of interest. Most yarn is spun Z and plied S. I understand this is better for crocheting with. As soon as I’ve finished my potholder I’m going to try making yarn this way and wonder if that would prevent some of the curl. Have you used hand spun yet? Or used yarn spun for crocheting? If not I’d be pleased to send you some for you to try Thank you so much
You truly are an amazing instructor I love your passion it’s very inspiring ! I’m just learning and I love this technique so much better than standard crocheting; even purchased new crochet hooks with cables lol thank you for sharing your talent.
I wanted to master this stitch so much, but was just lost for the first two rows. Thinking it was because I started with 22 stitches instead of your 26 in demo. But, when you lost track in the return pass, you showed how the knit stitches (simple, full, full, then 2, 3, 2, 3) stack, and that helped it all make sense! Love your teaching methods. Thank you!!!
So sorry about your foot, ‘it’s not the season for boo boo’s! I really enjoy your Tunisian Tuesdays cause I love Tunisian crochet 🧶 Happy holidays to you and Tom ❤❤❤
I keep seeing this type of crochet pop up on my feeds and finally bought the hooks for it and came straight to your channel for the how tos! Your instructions are SO clear I feel like I could learn anything from you. You're amazing!
You do such a fantastic job of teaching this. For the first time this stitch makes sense. Also, can you give me pointers on how to lock down my tension. I have been crocheting for 2. 1/2 years and I’m still all over the place.
@TLYarncrafts Toni, you hit it out of the park. 👩🍳 💋 I'm looking forward to making many shirts and sweaters!! In order to make these garments we need your expertise. Please provide us with tutorials on increases, decreases and neck, sleeves. IE turirial of a shirt or sweater. Pleeeeeesssseeeee
Thank you, Toni! Love love love this. The one thing that bothers me about crocheted wearables is the fake looking ribbing at the wrists, etc. I would love to use this tutorial as a substitute and bring my wearable up a notch.
I've been following you for awhile now because every time I have a question I can find an answer here. You always explain things clear and concise so I appreciate that. Now here's a question I haven't been able to find an answer for yet. I've been working on a granny square cardigan (never made anything like this before) and was wondering can I do this technique you showed as the ribbing on the bottom and the cuffs of the sweater?
Toni, you are an awesome teacher! I tried Tunisian Crochet for the first time last night and love it. I was hoping to get your Tunisian Crochet Handbook, but I can't find it anywhere. 😢 I did order my first set of clover hooks and they should arrive Friday. I'm so excited to try something new.😊
QUESTION @TLYarnCrafts 08:30 Hi Toni, How many stitches on the hook should one have at that 08:30? After several tries I still haven't been able to pull off the pattern yet. 😕 It says all about my skills... absolutely nothing about your great teachings. Thank you! Grtz, from Belgium 🇧🇪
I had the same problem ...using Toni's chain of 26...and being very careful to get to the extended row...I counted 38 loops. I have been doing tunisian for years and I always have to count my loops for each row or I lose a stitch. On longer items I use stitch markers every 20 or so stitches to count fast. Hope this helps!
Excellent tutorial, the pace is perfect. It’s easy to see where to insert the hook. (Question is, will it be that easy when I try?) I was surprised your hook had a flat thumb rest. Doesn’t that distort the stitches? Thanks again Toni for a fabulous video of a beautiful stitch pattern.
What is the best way to increase or decrease with this stitch? Love your tutorials for the "fancier" tunisian stitches, but I wish you would also include how to do inc/dec with them 😅
This is a beautiful stitch! It may be my yarn (I'm using a fluffy chenille type) but I really struggled going into those back bumps of the chain. Is there another way to start off? What does doing this actually do for the piece as a whole? Thanks ❤
I learned this stitch from you a while back (thank you!) my only issue is I end up having the darn thing pucker on me... I need to figure that out a little better.
It looks great! But let's say that after 5 rows I want to move pattern 1 to the left, do you know how to do it? Tried to figure it out myself but it did not worked out :(
I forgot to say that your videos are also visually pleasing...some folks have dirty hands or cracked dry hands...hangnails...it is hard to concentrate on those. Not you...lovely nails and hands! I appreciate that!
Most Tunisian will curl because of the tension, not much you can do about it. You can either do something like the reverse stitch where it pulls all the tension to the back or you can just block your work when you are done
Not me watching this while my unfinished shawl is staring at me in the face. 😂 thank you so much!
Same!
Hehe, 12 WIPs sitting there… 😂
Ikr.😂 have simple stitch blocks join as you go and entrelac 😂😂😢
Thank you so much for sharing the mistake you made and showing how to fix it! Can't tell you how many times I've lost a row for that exact thing. Love your humility!
You are such a great teacher, love the details you shared, plus showing how to fix mistakes on camera, perfect. Beautiful stitch that absolutely looks like knit, love it! Thank you so much for sharing
Absolutely showing mistakes is the best-we all make them and need to know how to rectify them as well!! TY!!
Love this and especially love you were able to fix a mistake…because they happen!
Toni, my heavens you are SUCH a good teacher. Your video quality is so crisp and sharp. Your explanations are excellent. This stitch is beautiful but I also must mention that your nails are gorgeous
Toni, you are a phenomenal teacher! Your pace and instructions are perfect for new crocheters. I find myself recommending your website to many people. Thanks for bringing the joy of crochet to the public!

Another stunner of a stitch! Thanks for the knowledge, Toni!
Thanks Toni! You're an excellent instructor. As soon as I saw the email about this stitch I had to grab my yarn and hook and try it immediately. It's beutiful on the front and the back side!!!!!
I love your enthusiasm and joy! Great teaching too. Thank you so much !
I always say the return pass is the same. You just proved me wrong. And I love it! I messed up a gift for a friend. I have to hit my stash and work this up instead. Love your tutorials. Always clear. Always fun.
Happy New Year! Am I glad I found your channel. You are an excellent teacher. This will be a new stitch to try this year. 👍🏾
I love this stitch! Thank you so much for sharing it with us, and for explaining everything so clearly. Can't wait to try it.
I’ve never done any Tunisian crochet yet but this makes me want to try!
Fantastic stitch, well elaborated instructions, love the way you teach, thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
My mother in law sent me a Tunisian crochet hook set for Christmas. Yes, I opened it early.
I think this will be my first attempt! Thank you for showing simple, clear instruction.
Great tutorial as always. I learned the: simple, knit, knit method of ribbing. I think we need a review of that Gold Silian TC hooks set ma’am 😆💯
do you have a link to these hooks, by chance?
This was a beautiful stitch and I love how you teach!!!
Ooh, that looks so squishy! I can’t wait to try it.
Oooh, this one looks really nice! Looking forward to the pattern :)))
This is a beautiful Tunisian stitch. Thank you for sharing your tutorial. 🧶💜🙏🏻
So happy I could share it with you! It's become a new favorite and I'm glad you like it!!
I’m going to use this stitch for my next year blanket club. Looks really nice
Thank you again for a wonderful tutorial. I can see at least two more sweaters I need to make now using this stitch pattern.
Thank you, great, clear tutorial 💐
Thank you Toni. You are an amazing teacher!
Your tutorial is one of the best I have come across. I taught myself how to crochet the basic stitches but have never understood patterns to read them. I have a new respect for crocheting and am back at it. Tha k you.
I love your teaching! Thank you.
Your tutorials are so clear - thanks!
So much simpler than I thought it would be!! So beautiful!
You are an amazing teacher!! Have a new set of hooks and my blanket is underway!! TY for your inspiration and wonderful instruction!! Might need a scarf in this rib stitch!!! Gorgeous!
I was always hesitant to try this but now feel confident to do this. You are a magnificent teacher!
Your videos taught me how to do original Tunisian crochet. It looks like I'll be watching and swatching many times to do the stitches properly.
I want to thank you so much for your tutorials. I received a Tunisian Hook and book at our Guild Holiday gift exchange but after doing a lot of tidying up they were lost. My friend bought a set and wanted to learn too. We sat and watched your masterful tutorial and I ordered a set of needles

My prayers have been answered!❤❤
OMG LOVE this stitch.

Very Pretty and Explained Very Well. Thank You for this video.

Wow. This was a great tutorial. Thank you.❤
So beautiful and so well explained! Thank you for showing the surgery part as well!! I'm glad I got myself your book for Christmas
Awesome bind off!❤
I keep seeing this type of crochet pop up on my feeds and finally bought the hooks for it and came straight to your channel for the how tos! Your instructions are SO clear I feel like I could learn anything from you. You're amazing!
that's so kind of you to say! Thanks for checking out the video :-)
I am such a HUGE fan of your work! I made your Chevron Stitch Temperature blanket from a few years back and have been HOOKED on TL since!
Beautiful! Thank you!❤🙂👍🏻🌹
Love it. I’ll have to get me those hooks. 💙💙💙
Wow i love this stitch Toni. I love learning & using new crochet stitches. Now i need to see if there is a hat pattern. Thank you again
You are a super teacher. Beautiful stitch to try. Thank you.
very pretty thank you for sharing with us.
Lovely stitch pattern! Thank you for an excellent tutorial. 🦋
Love this!!!! Thank you-
That is a beautiful stitch! I’m thinking cowl.
❤ super , just what I need ❤
You do such a fantastic job of teaching this. For the first time this stitch makes sense. Also, can you give me pointers on how to lock down my tension. I have been crocheting for 2. 1/2 years and I’m still all over the place.
@TLYarncrafts
Toni, you hit it out of the park.

I would love to use this tutorial as a substitute and bring my wearable up a notch.
beautiful stitch thank you so much Is this reversible?
Fabulous!!! I would love to see the details of how you carried your yarn up the side.
I had to work to get this one but I love it... 1:27
I've been following you for awhile now because every time I have a question I can find an answer here. You always explain things clear and concise so I appreciate that. I did order my first set of clover hooks and they should arrive Friday. I'm so excited to try something new.😊
Hi darling! I have my book directly linked in the description. You can also find it in my shop - tlyarncrafts.com
Omg I love this. Do those extra loops make it more of a yarn eater?
Lovely.... Can I do a beanie with this stitch. Can you teach me... 🌹😘

Beautiful! How did you connect the two colors at the end of rows when changing colors and the final pink?
Thank you for responding.
It’s a tonal yarn
Excellent tutorial, the pace is perfect. It’s easy to see where to insert the hook. (Question is, will it be that easy when I try?)
I was surprised your hook had a flat thumb rest. Doesn’t that distort the stitches?
Thanks again Toni for a fabulous video of a beautiful stitch pattern.
The thumb rest doesn't distort the stitches :-) they move over the thumbrest seamlessly and my gauge doesn't change.
Tony do you know how to make 5xl hexagon cardigan
Sure! Check out this tutorial - ruclips.net/video/oDfyTevbydU/видео.htmlsi=knUvSBWuc-V3Ctit
What is the best way to increase or decrease with this stitch? Love your tutorials for the "fancier" tunisian stitches, but I wish you would also include how to do inc/dec with them 😅
I have those hooks - they're brilliant! But they're not GOLD! Where did you get them? I must have them now! Thank you for making this tutorial. x
I am new to Tunisian crochet. I’d like to make a scarf as my first starter “big” project. Is this a good stitch to use?
This is a beautiful stitch! It may be my yarn (I'm using a fluffy chenille type) but I really struggled going into those back bumps of the chain. Is there another way to start off? What does doing this actually do for the piece as a whole? Thanks ❤
I would not try chenille yarn with this stitch, lol. it's a bit too textured. I'd go with a smooth acrylic, wool, or cotton.
I learned this stitch from you a while back (thank you!) my only issue is I end up having the darn thing pucker on me... I need to figure that out a little better.
❤
How do you increase or decrease?
It looks great! But let's say that after 5 rows I want to move pattern 1 to the left, do you know how to do it? Tried to figure it out myself but it did not worked out :(
I forgot to say that your videos are also visually pleasing...some folks have dirty hands or cracked dry hands...hangnails...it is hard to concentrate on those. Not you...lovely nails and hands! I appreciate that!
I wish you would give a roll factor when you do a tunisian stitch video.
is there a video that talks about how to not have my work curl during Tunisian crochet?
Most Tunisian will curl because of the tension, not much you can do about it. You can either do something like the reverse stitch where it pulls all the tension to the back or you can just block your work when you are done
I like when mistakes are shown. Makes you more personable and I don’t feel so out of place. Love the look of this but need more practice.
Thank you 🫶i will try it!!🧶🪡
