I finally feel validated! I grew up being teased for my sensory challenges and I always felt so ashamed. I thought I was crazy but I have legitimately struggled with touch and sound my whole life. I can't wear socks correctly and I'm very selective about which clothes I can stand. I can't move on no matter how hard I try to ignore an annoying shirt for example. I hate to be hugged even when I long for one. I really can't stand very particular sounds and even as an adult I find myself reaching for my ears when I can if it's too loud. I have been formally diagnosed with OCD, so I wonder if it is linked at all. My brother on the other hand has severe dysgraphia and is slow to respond to stimuli. He is very opposite but struggles too. Neither of us have ever been diagnosed with ASD. It should be a stand alone diagnosis!

omg same I too have spd too selective about clothing , a little anything on my clothes I can feel it I Hate tags and I always will , I am extremely uncomfortable if my sleeves are wet of t shirt and if the cloths are tight I can not wear them I always wear pjamas , after I bath I wait till my body is completely dry before putting on a single cloth and this cloth problem is way worse in winters 😢
