Remember an interview with Helen in one of the Sunday papers where she said there was a scene once where Brian gave Gail a bracelet. She said she played the whole scene to the bracelet, not looking at Chris once, so it sounds like they didn’t enjoy working together!
I did see interviews with Helen and Chris over the years, they appeared friendly enough. They were at Lynne Peries funeral in recent years and they looked close then too.
I don’t know about that but I did hear that Helen didn’t get on with Anne Kirkbride who played Deirdre. They asked not to be in scenes together. But they made up in recent years and eventually were in scenes together.
@@startracker5895 it's true they were never paired together as mates on the show even though they were similar ages and arrived on the street during the same 70s era. Apart from the pie throwing scene in the early 2010s I can't recall any other significant scene between Deirdre and Gail. I did see one clip of them here on RUclips from the 70s where they were playing table tennis in the community centre but that's about it. Sally and Gail were best buddies during the 80s and 90s but then it's like the writers ignored that post 2000. Deirdre had Liz as a mate throughout.
If Helen and Chris won’t working well together during this scene that means they were arguing outside of their characters and went odd script just to have a go at each other.
@@paulyb7267 you should forget hes the most rubbish dad in Corrie he forgets he own son and runs away with Leanne and Simon because they were stupid enough to be doing drug dealing
Helen Worth’s acting in this scene is definitely Oscar worthy.
It's a shame they've changed Gail's character so much in recent Coronation Street. She's brilliant here.
Yes she was now she gets on my nerves tbh
Well of course she's changed, she's 75 now 🤣🤣

@@manteadodude love to know why they fell out though. They both seemed like lovely woman in real life so what the hell did they have to argue about?

Wtf Gail it's not kidnapping if Nick's with his father (r.i.p brain)
It is, if he did not have Custody and there was no prior agreement on him taking the child away
@@NovelasDoMundo yea but he's with his father
